Maybe too busy with the kids off from school?

They all disappeared way before the holidays. :(

Thaya did you get your ITC vapes order yet?

I did get it. I got the caramel apple. Not impressed yet. I can't really taste the tartness of the apple and the caramel isn't sweet enough. I'm hoping some more steeping will help. Their prices went up too.

COPD will affect you without vaping. If you have hayfever there's a chance you'll be allergic to a similar profile in eliquid too. However a strawberry from one manufacturer won't be the same as another's.

I have more trouble breathing when it gets cold, they say that is a sign. I am sure it is just a beginning, if I have it. It might get better if I could quit the darn cigarettes.

I didn't try that flavor. they sent me samples of RY4 and Bananaberry Dreams both I loved.

Do you have other symptoms?

They did send me a small sample of Bananaberry and I like that one.

I've been wondering about them too. So many of our regulars have disappeared. It's a shame. Haven't seen jessermay or Dawn either. It would be nice to hear from everyone.

I am hoping that everyone got real wrapped up with the holidays and once everyone gets back into a more normal routine we will start to see some of our friends come back and post. Life can get pretty hectic.

im heading off to bed. missed vaping so much i overdid it lol. first time in a LOONG time that i have felt jittery from nicotine. so im headin to bed so i will stop puffing on my ecig. and stop plotting new builds. and stop guesstimating when the russian 91% coop will go live. and adding items to my cart to buy then deciding not yet, then adding more items and removing some. gah. need sleep.

finally removed AC from window. bedroom is much warmer now. humidifier is closer to bed in hopes it wil help with the dryness in the room.

no snow as of yet for the winter storm that was supposed to be snowing all night and caused the local stores to be flooded and run out of most shelf stable food and milk/eggs/bread/cheeses.. if you are buying food for a storm, why do you buy perishables? id rather buy pasta/sauce, macaroni and cheese (can be made with powdered milk if REALLY needed but prefer not to), refridgerated items can be left outside but will freeze rather than stay cold. i guess im just odd that when im warned to buy food because wont be able to leave house for a while that i prepare as if i will loose power too.

I'm home from work and looking forward to having the day off tomorrow. :) It's snowing here again and looks like it's going to continue through tomorrow, ending up with about 4 to 8 inches by the time it's all said and done. The real treat will come after that on Tuesday morning when the temp is expected to go down to -16 degrees with a wind chill factor of -40!

I have no plans today (do I ever?) other than *maybe* a trip to the grocery store for a few things if the roads aren't too bad. After my much needed sleep today I plan to settle in with some Deadly Sin and Peanut Butter Cups and stalk the forum. I may throw in a little Hand Churned Peach Ice Cream from Vape Tree for a little excitement. What are your plans for today and what flavors will accompany you in your adventures or non-adventures, as the case may be?

You buy milk bread and cheese because if you lose power how can you cook anything, even gas stoves require an electric igniter, if you have the ingredients for sandwiches you are set. :) I'm not looking forward to this one, it's going to be down close to 0 here and that hasn't happened in over 30 years in this area, I hope the pipes and power hold out, snow too but "shouldn't" be too bad in that dept. I am not looking forward to it at all.

Don't know whether Lori actually had her surgery or not, last I talked with her she was thinking about cancelling it if Bill's numbers continued to drop.

Right now I am vaping mostly NT Creme Brulee, Custard's Last Stand, Snickerdoodle Cookie, H1N1, Grandma's Cinnamon Danish and adding in a bit of Vintage Vapors Zen (coffee) and MOV Chai Tea Latte and Legendary. In many cases I am mixing other things with the Creme Brulee or CLS because I am primarily dripping and the 18 mg juices are too potent to drip so I'm mixing them with 6 mg and almost anything is good mixed with CLS or CB. :)

I don't really have any plans yet either, other than going out to get him some smokes. I should download and start watching some pre class videos that have been posted for a class I have starting Friday though.

I am worrying about the storm coming, it just doesn't get that cold here and we are supposed to get to 2 tomorrow night, hoping the pipes hold up. I'm not so sure it really matters much how much below zero it gets, once you hit a certain point it is just intolerable anyway. They say only 1-3" of snow but the last time I heard that we got nearly 12" so I'm not sure I believe them, we were supposed to have a flurry or two the other night and we got a good cover soooooooooo. I was surprised to see milk at Walmart yesterday, didn't look on the bread aisle cause I didn't need any.
We'll be set food wise as I cooked a ham yesterday and will be freezing most of it today in meal or sandwich sized vacuum sealer bags.

Ok I can understand not wanting to venture out in a storm. So if your low on milk, bread, or eggs it's a good idea to grab some. But I'm pushing 50 lived in mountains of Pa my whole life and only remember maybe 2 or 3 blizzards (worst one around 1970) where roads etc were so bad you couldn't go out for -

wait for it -

2 or 3 days.

So I don't get the whole panic "I need mass volumes of food" hell I could eat spaghettios for 2 or 3 days not to mention all the other stuff on hand in the house like peanut butter etc.

Heck If all else fails just invite your neighbors over for a "Donner party" :p

It's always nice having friends for "dinner"

A few tips if your worried about pipes freezing. Make sure your outside faucets are turned off and in the open position - that will prevent any water still in the lines from freezing. Open cabinet doors like under your kitchen sink to allow warm air flow around pipes. Check for drafts hitting any pipes and wrap them in something - newspaper works. Even a pin hole draft hitting a pipe can freeze it. Let water trickle if your really worried.

LOL around here they panic so bad over a little snow that they close everything down, wouldn't matter if you were able to get out and about, there wouldn't be any reason to go anywhere. lol
I cooked the ham because I had it here for a while and I wanted ham, like I said I'll vacuum seal most of it today in meal sized packages and freeze it and we will have ham for quite a while, whenever we want it, thaw and heat. :)

We don't have separate shut offs for outside and inside faucets so our outside faucets are covered. That's a good idea about the newspaper though, I may do that on the two in the house that are on outside walls. I had already decided to leave the cabinet doors open on those two and probably let them drip.

You really only want to wrap them if there's a direct outside draft on them or they're exposed to the outside air - otherwise you may be blocking warm air from hitting them. I live in a 100 yr old house and get cold air in around where it meets the foundation. I had a tiny (like not even 1/4" tiny) hole in some pipe insulation on a pipe between buildings and it froze a few years ago. What a mess

Good afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just woke up! I hope you all have a glorious day!

I have a treat vape today, I am vaping on my Kingpin from Vapors Society, I love this stuff. (Thank you to Mark for getting it for me!!!!!!! I don't know if you are reading the thread, but I will never forget your kindness!!!!!!!) I am rationing this stuff, it's awesome!

SO , I got asked a question on Facebook, it was interesting to see some of the responses, I was asked why do people feel the need to upgrade or keep buying new mods and atomizers, I explained that it was like buying cigars, some people are satisfied with any old cigar and do not care about branding or anything but the enjoyment of smoking a cigar, while others need to taste different cigars, they like learning about different manufacturers, cigars from different countries, they enjoy the hobby, same with wine. He just didn't get it. Others chimed in but the op was set on his 2 batteries were enough and people were just trying to one up, etc.., I told him if that worked for him, it was excellent, and not to worry what others had if it made them happy. Funny how other people count your money. I don't begrudge anyone having a ton of equipment, if you can afford it go for it if it makes you happy. Most important if it keeps you from smoking.

I began to also wonder, how many more people are like us, maybe they said they quit smoking, but they really have not, maybe they like us, struggled and kept trying to find the "right" vape. MMMMMMMM interesting, I am sure that this is not the case for all of them, but could it be that it isn't as easy as they say? Further proof there is nothing wrong with us? I suspect the pressure that we see in other threads on ECF that everyone has quit and been successful, keeps some from admitting they struggle as all of us have at one time or another.

If you are in another thread and see anyone suggest they are having problems quitting, send them here. I hardly ever see any of us do that, I am guilty as well because I rarely go to other ECF threads. I read them but do not post in them . I am going to be a bit more active that way. I see so many "guests' looking here there has to be a reason.

Donner party of 4 !!!!!!!!
I hope you have bacon and BBQ sauce!!!!!!!!!!! Everything tastes good with BBQ and Bacon!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a gas BBQ make sure you have gas in it, it's a life saver, I did that in NY when electric went out from storms, same here in Florida. I keep two tanks filled at all times. In NY I kept it in my garage close to the garage door, if it snowed we would clear the area in front of the door to open it to vent the smoke out. For safety keep a fire extinguisher! if you don't have a side burner you can still put a pot on the grill to warm things up.

I remember when I tried to quit smoking the first 2 times with vaping. I lurked for a long time, reading everything. It seemed like everyone else was able to quit so easily when I was having a hard time. I rarely, if ever, posted since I felt that I was in no position to offer advice to anyone when I couldn't do it myself. It makes me wonder how many others are hesitant to post for the same reason.

Finally on my third attempt in 4 years I found this thread when someone else posted the link in another thread. I checked it out for a little while before gathering the courage to post. It was the best thing I could have done. It was only with the help of others here that I was finally able to succeed. Making friends with others in the same boat made me feel accepted and part of a great group of people.

I don't think I would have found this thread on my own because I pretty much only lurked in the New Members, General Information and E-liquid threads. I'm so thankful that someone posted the link in one of those threads for me to find. Otherwise I'm sure I would still be smoking and vaping would have fallen by the wayside along with ECF, as it did the first 2 times.

We welcome anyone and everyone who's having difficulty giving up smoking, so if you're lurking, come on out of the shadows and join us. We'd love to meet you!

nicely said.

and even when you do quit smoking, you can still hang around.
for a lot of folks here, 1 cig is all it takes to start smoking again.
others are able to smoke moderatly and vape the rest of the time.
we don't judge what works for you.

I believe I'm one of those people who is 1 cigarette away from going back to smoking full-time, but I'm still afraid to test it. ;) I didn't put up a banner until I hadn't smoked in a couple of weeks, but I believe it has helped me to not smoke. I love seeing the days, weeks, and months tick off and I truly don't want to blow it and have to start over. :?:

I think ppl are nervous because there's been so much weird weather. When was the last time NY flooded? And even if you could get out, it meant nothing because no one had electric for 7 days (that's happened in several places). That would make me nervous. So it's not all about the weather. It's about the effects afterwards.
