You are just fine as you are in my book. I spend time worrying if I am going to say something that is going to offend you. My mouth can have a mind of it's own sometimes.

I've only been called that !@#$ word once in my life & it was on ECF ........ got my hiney outta there:(
Seems like everytime I open my mouth these days I inadvertly hurt someone's feelings ..... sigh .......... wouldn't do it on purpose for the world:cry:

Me too. I actually used to post a lot of humorous stuff - but once I became a mod people took it seriously and everything I said was taken wrong. So I pretty much gave up posting much.
You mod's are just so scary! 8-o Just kiddin' :p Sad that you can't have any fun:(
You couldn't pay me to be a mod!
I find mothers, especially ones with young children, are either stricken with eternal optimism or are quite insane.
    Yep! That's the word:blink:

I think you are a hoot & feel sure you would never do such a thing.
It's not like I've never heard a cuss word before, LOL.

It was one of several go to, fall back things I would make for dinner when we were real, real broke. Nobody said a word about not liking it. I even liked it back then. Nobody got sick or died from it. I am just glad I don't have to eat it twice a week now.

Me too...usually by people who don't take me too seriously, either. I would edit my comment that anything is on the table as far as humor goes. I DON'T consider making fun of REAL people, or hurting animals for fun (even if it's animals hurting other animals), funny at all.

Me neither! I don't like hurting people's feelings, and I don't intentionally do it. I try to be respectful but sometimes people have hot buttons in places you wouldn't expect, for whatever reason. And I hope that when I acknowledge that I've done that and apologize that it's understood that I didn't mean to be hurtful.

I have a few of those too. That Slop sounded good at the beginning but after the peas or corn and gravy it would have been too much for me too.

I agree wholeheartedly. I am all for helping people, but you could not pay me to be a mod on here. I do not have enough self control and I am too afraid I would tell somebody off one day. Lots of work for little love. Lox, you are loved here.

And the vigil is working. I am still thinking about that slop. What was I thinking. I once owned two cookbooks that I threw away years ago. One was, 100 dishes for ground beef. The other one was something to the same effect regarding 100 things you could do to a chicken. Oh, and One Pot Meals. For some strange reason, I no longer own them and have no desire to replace them.

I skipped the whole Crock Pot craze. Never owned one. Strange. I usually would have jumped on that one. Don't know how I escaped. Actually thought of buying one recently. Would it be worth it, do you think? I see them everywhere now. Does anyone have one and like it?

When I was married I never cooked, first meal I made, Hubble (mentally ill, I will remind you) accused me of poisoning him and proceeded to scream at me for 1 hour. Since I am a mouse (now, I know its passive/ aggressive) I said if he wanted complete reassurance that he was not getting poison he should cook all meals from that day forward and he did!
From that point on I never cooked or cleaned he did all of it. I went to work, walked the dogs and took garbage out. I was like a 1950's husband! Only reason I left was the mental illness, when he finally married again he was trained well for wife number 2.

I cook once in a great while now, I usually buy a rotisserie chicken once a week, and lots of stuff with ground beef that is fattening and cheap, the rest is pasta and lots of rice, ramen, and potatoes, bologna such good choices for a diabetic. I can cook Italian really well. I love salad but even that is getting expensive.

I love crockpot cooking especially when I am really ill, you just throw the stuff in and it cooks and you serve then get a nephew to come over and clean it up. works for me.

Well then. That might rule that out. But wait. If I set it up BEFORE I go to sleep at 5am, then when I wake up I will have breakfast and DH can have dinner - out of one device. Will do more thinking and looking up of recipes on this.

Crock pots are great! The only thing is....you have to get up before 5pm to get it started.
