    Brandy,

Welcome, I am sorry for your loss, there just are no words that I can say to you. I am glad that you joined us here. I have been welcomed just recently myself and feel that these kind people are quickly becoming my friends. I know that you will feel the embrace of this little community too. Now your me time, will include all of our ups, downs, and in-betweens, a few laughs, and unfortunately some tears.
I am a good listener, feel free to PM anytime, I am up crazy hours so if I don't answer right away have no fear, I check on here often. Going back to smoking was natural and familiar and comforting. You will find support here and answers to as many questions as you might have someone here will have the experience and or knowledge to help you.

    What she said, I can't say it any better .......... except I'm a Day-Timer :)

Me too. I actually used to post a lot of humorous stuff - but once I became a mod people took it seriously and everything I said was taken wrong. So I pretty much gave up posting much.

You can post here bunny. We know you are harmless and loving.

Hey all! So I tried my first e-cig about 2 years ago. I think you all would refer to it as a cig alike. I thought it was the best thing since slice bread. I did not buy it with the intention of quitting. I enjoy smoking. I have 5 children so smoking gives me my "me" time. I do not smoke in my home or in my car so this new toy was perfect. I got 1 for my mil and she quit instantly. She started nagging me to just quit cigarettes. I eventually gave it a try. Did good for 3 months. My oldest ended up in the hospital and it was down hill from there. He did not survive his injuries. I was back to 1 1/2pad. I needed alone time. It has been a year and I'm going to give it a try again.
P.s I have become a hermit so reading all 770 pages before posting wasn't that bad. I'm glued to my iPad.

Brandy! Here I am complaining about 40 or 50 pages, and you managed to get through all 770? You're a trooper!
I am so sorry to hear about your son ... I cannot even imagine the journey that your heart and soul has taken. I'm glad you've found us! Have you purchased any new equipment, or are you starting with the cig-alikes? I started back with my 901's, then bought eGo's ... I like the eGo's, but I've been wavering between getting an eRoll, or maybe some disposables so that I can get that "cig" feeling.

Sorry, could not do that if I even remotely wanted to. I am glad I can get my shoes on and off by myself. Thank goodness I found bras that hook in the front. Maybe we can get one of those sub-ohm-ers, aren't they young and wire-y? Might make a better video.

They all hook in the front if you are willing to spin them 180 degrees. ;)

Brandy, so glad you decided to come back and post. We just lost DH's dad on Mother's Day and that was hard. But he was 80 and to be expected. It is not right on any level to lose a child and from your avatar he was probably young too. Such a heartbreak. It is good you are going to give vaping another try. I was a 2 pad smoker for 45 years and have a little over a month now cig free. Still some struggle moments in there, but fewer and farther between. Let us know what you are using now and ask away. We are a friendly bunch and off the wall sometimes. But always here for each other. This is a safe place to find yourself while you restart your vaping journey. Welcome to our little home.

OMG My deepest sympathies to you. How horrible! You are not supposed to bury your children.

I started back up with the cig alike. It's not from a big company. My mil asked me to look for another company because her batteries were dying much faster. Why did she do that to me. I was dumbfounded by all the equipment out there. I have since ordered evods and it looks like an ego battery. I thought holy cow what have I been missing. Then I kept looking and got the itaste v3 and I think I have fallen in love. I haven't decided to go crazy on juices. I mean I was smoking newports for 26yrs and was content.

I find mothers, especially ones with young children, are either stricken with eternal optimism or are quite insane.
LOL we were just talking about that here the other night, I can remember being in Mommy mode when my daughter was young, it passes in most cases once the kids are grown. It's been many many many years since I've been there, I have two great grandkids, 5 months and 2 1/2 years. My oldest granddaughter will be 30 in Oct and her sister just turned 27 in March.

And the vigil is working. I am still thinking about that slop. What was I thinking. I once owned two cookbooks that I threw away years ago. One was, 100 dishes for ground beef. The other one was something to the same effect regarding 100 things you could do to a chicken. Oh, and One Pot Meals. For some strange reason, I no longer own them and have no desire to replace them.

I skipped the whole Crock Pot craze. Never owned one. Strange. I usually would have jumped on that one. Don't know how I escaped. Actually thought of buying one recently. Would it be worth it, do you think? I see them everywhere now. Does anyone have one and like it?
Back in the days when we were showing and hunting hounds I had a crock pot that I would take to the events in the motorhome and keep a pot of BBQ beans going in all weekend. Other than that I have never used one. Boy those were some good memories, one of the events at the hunts as we called them was a swim race so there was always a pond or lake, almost always stocked with catfish. We would get the portable grill out and several of the guys would pull out the fishing poles and we would have fresh grilled catfish and BBQ beans and whatever other dishes people would bring.

My wife and I are opposite ends here. I was a smoker for nearly 20 years, she smoked for about 10. I lost the desire for the cigs after my first vape nearly a month and a week ago. My wife on the other hand, is having a hard time giving them up. All I can do is continue supporting her and not ridicule her for her intense lack of willpower LOL.

I truly hope you were just trying to "make a funny" when you refer to your wife's "intense lack of willpower." If you were able to quit immediately when you started vaping then it had nothing to do with "willpower" on your part, and a lack thereof most certainly doesn't inhibit you're wife's not being able to quit. You were one of the lucky ones -- the same way I was the first time.
Sorry, but that "intense lack of willpower" phrase just stroked me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong -- you should be proud of your accomplishment, and I'm happy for you ... but I also hope you're truly proud and happy about your wife's accomplishments and the struggle she must be going through to achieve them.

I agree with you but I am pretty sure he was kidding....... On that note, good night all. <3
