That depends on what you mean by spicy, if you mean hot that's not happening, lol. The other strong possibility is that I haven't smoked in over 4 days so my taste buds are in transition.

The not smoking may be it! In the first few days after I quit I vaped really strong candy stuff. It helped me stay interested. I didn't notice a lot of change in the flavors over those few days, as well as huge changes in the way I tasted familiar foods.

And yes, by spicy I mean HEAT. Lots of it.

That's what I thought, I really can't handle spicy foods, neither mouth nor stomach tolerates that at all. I can handle a little warmth in Mexican food like a Chile Relleno, but that's about it, most things labeled spicy to me are painful.

Claudia, I think I am going through the same thing as you. I did not have a big change in flavor the first month I vaped. Certain flavors I did not like but the first week I vaped I found a flavor I loved and it stayed consistant all month except when my dripping atty was about to die and it started changing and an hour or two later the atty died. Put on a new atty and flavor came back. Now I am losing the flavor, even with a new atty or the Evod. I drink tons of water so it is not dry mouth.

Like you I can not eat spicy foods or vape cinnamon or menthols. Spicy foods make me ill, heartburn and digestive problems.

I haven't tried a cinnamon vape, the closest I've gotten is cinabun and cinnamon twist which are very mild in the cinnamon dept, I could use a little more cinnamon in those, but I do like menthol and in the times when I really want a smoke that is what I turn to. I like the Carmel Movaccio from MOV but wish it was a bit stronger, loving coffee and cappuccino as I do I think a good coffee is what I'm wanting most, that and some really good fruity flavors. With those what I get mostly is enough of a hint of flavor to want more, except for a cherry tobacco I tried that turned out to be the only one so far that I cannot vape at all, YUK. I haven't tried anything with green apple or watermelon and won't, every candy I've ever tried with those two flavors has been nauseating to me, and we won't even discuss wintergreen. I have a red apple that is very good except it has such a strong throat hit that I can't handle too much, but I use it almost as a palate cleanser. I need to get some butterscotch but I keep forgetting that one when I make an order. I actually have quite a few that I do like, but still looking for that special one that makes my eyes dilate like a parrot, lol.

Ok those wondering what my little survey was for here it is. Long ramble ahead
Originally when I started vaping I had been using RYO tobacco for almost 2 years. I was able to quit smoking after 3 days and made it 8 months smoke free. When I got sick and started smoking again I went with packaged cigarettes and well you know how that turned out.
Recently I bought a bag of RYO tobacco but was hesitant to use it as I like the flavor better than the pall mall UL I'm smoking (I get them because they basically taste like nothing and I don't smoke as much as I would if I liked them) I thought if I liked the RYO I'd smoke more. However I've found the opposite. Even though I like the flavor of RYO more I smoke less. I know BT uses additives to make you want to smoke more (give me a pack of Marlboro and I'll smoke it in 4 hours) so I was thinking maybe the first time around I had weaned myself off the additives by using the RYO making my first quit so easy.
Unfortunately the responses to my question are inconclusive.
Thank you all who responded :)

Some of the pro-RYOers are able to roll, and smoke, over 3 packs per day. That just blows me away! I would be so frustrated that I would just give up and eat the tobacco instead.

That sounds perfectly logical, Lox. Is that RYO tobacco coming for somewhere that maybe is putting additives into it. Would not be surprised if they are. They are doing it to American Snus and not the Swedish stuff I think you mentioned. That is why the Swedish Snus is better to use, right? Maybe you need a bigger sample of people. Can't you do a poll, I saw somewhere on ECF that you can (but you would already know that, never mind). Sorry it was inconclusive.

I actually use 100% pipe tobacco for my RYO. That was why I started rolling to begin with - I read what they started using to make cigarettes "fire safe" (carpet glue) and figured it was a "lesser evil" using additive free tobacco and tubes. Sort of like committing suicide by jumping off the 25th floor as opposed to the 15th floor - takes you longer to hit the ground :p

OK I picked three numbers that may be available, I am assuming you will learn how this works and keep tabs on whether or not one of us from here wins. :)

Claudia there is a board with the #s. The colored ones are allready taken. Sometimes someone takes the same number as you just as you are typing. If they are taken the helpers will neener you and you reply with quote their neener and pick a new #. I keep the board in my favorites so I don't have to look it up every time. It is here

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...fdFc4QkxJT1M2ZVpvLTVEN3lBWVF1LXc&pli=1#gid=38

After the helpers color your #they will like your post. They will still like it even if you have a neener so keep an eye out to see if you need to pick another #. And dont click on the #s on the board or they can't colot them in.

So how do you know if you get neenered?
Oh and thanks for the help. :)

They will tell you that you are neenered and which one or ones have allready been picked. Then you just reply with quote their neener and pick new ones. You will get the hang of it real fast.

Lori, you are doing great as well! Overcoming all adversity, being your husband's advocate, dealing with a bum shoulder and a damn painful cortisone shot, and you still haven't been arrested for beating anyone's azz????? You, my dear, I want to be you when I grow up.

We'll fight cigs another day! We love you and support you no matter what!
Ditto! Lori you are awesome!

Claudia has a banner! Claudia has a banner! How have I missed this momentous occasion??? Congrats on your almost 6 days!

Okay, self enforced bedtime limit has passed, got to sign off and pretend to sleep. If it doesn't work out I'll see you later! Now you ladies inspire us for tomorrow, okay? I really need laughter in my life on Tuesdays!
Yay Claudia!

In case y'all haven't noticed, I'm real big on that whole "not beating yourself up" rule in this thread. Lori isn't allowed to do that either! And I can enforce this rule by pm if need be!
I'll back FQ!

Try the Liqua from Fasttech. I have been reading the thread and a bunch of the people are saying they like the flavors of the Liqua a lot better than the DeKang. It's a lot of reading but you can skim to the juice talk on there. They go on for a few pages in a couple places.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...30819-fasttech-thread-all-fasttech-posts.html

Read about the juices. No shiny/prettys.
Thanks for the info, I was curious about those juices.

It is more than depressing. I am a tobacco lover. So far it seems like the fruits, bakery, sweets and coffees just don't do it for me. But I need some sweet in the tobacco. Found my adv and have been through about 100ml of it in the past month. There are some days that it is not cutting it either. Like it is losing flavor. I will drip it, then stick it in my Evod. Just loses flavor. So I switch off to another flavor for the day and have a poor vaping day. Sometimes it will take a couple of days for the Gold (adv) to taste right again. I have even tried new attys. Is that called Vaper's Tongue? Or am I just bored with the juice?
I'm a tobacco lover too, I add vanilla to all my tobaccos for a little sweetness. I love vermillion river Kentucky vanilla, it's awesome.

I never did RYO too much work for me. Hey FQ how did the morning go with your daughter?

Hi guys, just stopping in before a nap. I spent the morning shopping with my boys & had an appt at the rheumatologist, looks like I have fibromyalgia, yay :(

I asked on the contest thread and it looks like it is a long process. They do many "rounds" where you can pick even more sets of numbers. He said the contest probably won't end until Saturday and to check back in every so often for the chance to pick more numbers in the next round. The game is done when the graph of 2000 numbers is filled. It's one one of those contests they want you to stay and check on the thread often for more chances to win. So, not like the contest you guys played and everyone won juice. This one is going to be more luck of the draw. But a nice prize.

OK I picked three numbers that may be available, I am assuming you will learn how this works and keep tabs on whether or not one of us from here wins. :)

Thank you, when they start a new round do you keep the same numbers or pick new ones? and I noticed you only have one number in round 4.

omg FQ - I agree with you. They are like their own little cigarette factories. My dad did ryo when I was a kid, it looked like a PITA. Not as bad as rebuilding a coil, but still a lot of fussyness. And loose tobacco everywhere. Though they were pretty fast. We would have to time them rolling and you chowing down.

Hey FQ how did the morning go with your daughter?

OMG I forgot to update y'all! This kid should be a child star, acting is apparently her forte. (That sounds better than calling her a liar, right?) The teacher is all smiles this morning, "she had a great day yesterday!" I just started laughing. I started telling her what dd had said on the way to daycare in between sobs, and she just shook her head. "We have a lot of boys and girls who didn't know the rules, maybe she heard me talking to one of them?" They only had to speak to dd once, they said.

Anyway, she was determined to have a good day today, can't wait to pick her up this afternoon and find out. Also a new change for her, no more daycare, she will be staying after school with the Boys and Girls Club until I get there around 6/6:30. That makes almost 12 hours at school for her.

I have a feeling I'm going to be making a lot of you laugh and shake your heads with my stories. I cried at daycare today, I felt like I was breaking up with someone. I've been going there for 11 years with both kids. The director just hugged me and told me "change is hard" and dd can still go there for full days out of school, holidays, and summer break. I feel a little better about it all now.

In two weeks this will be our new normal, but for now it sucks.

On a brighter note, I have an awesome lunch and my ECF friends so life is good! Hope you're all having a terrific day as well. . .
