Alisa, thanks for that. I have heard some good things about coconut oil. Can I get it at the grocery store or pharmacy? I have seen coconut water at the grocery store. I thought coconut oil was a solid? Gotta do some Google.

I like it fried, on occasion...it's the salt I like, too.

Shari, if you want to try something for yeast in your mouth (even if it isn't), give virgin coconut oil a shot...it's good for you, and is an antifungal. In vitro antimicrobial properties of coconut oil ... [J Med Food. 2007] - PubMed - NCBI

Much less expensive than a doctor's visit and antibiotics.

I'm using it 2x a day, 2 tsp each time. It's weird eating it, but try a couple teaspoons and swish it around in your mouth. You can spit or swallow after that. :D

Some grocery stores may have it now. Make sure it's virgin and organic. It's sold in jars, and is white. I get mine at Trader Joe's although you can get it for sure at Whole Foods or other natural food stores. It's not cheap, but I use it for tons of stuff. I use it for stir-fry, as a scalp conditioner, face moisturizer sometimes (it's greasy!), and I put it in my morning coffee too (makes it really yummy). I also will just have a spoonful of it if I haven't eaten any with my normal diet that day.

wow, hey everybody!

No spam for me, my roomie loves it ! I hate the smell

I love hot dogs I eat them often on my budget, thank goodness we like them they are really cheap and fill you up for a short time.
I just can tolerate Mac and cheese, we have been eating it far too long
No tofu, unless it's in chinese food, a distant memory

I put canned chicken in the Mac sometimes, Tuna and noodle casserole, lots of spaghetti with meat sauce cause I can't afford meatballs LOL, but it is my specialty, anything Italian. The only problem is the stuff I love is too expensive, I can't afford Veal, (I know cruelty to animals) so I am not responsible for that these days.

I make really good soups. Of course Chicken soup, Veggie soup, and a Argentinian meat soup

Give me one chicken, a quart of fried rice and a bottle of italian dressing i'll make you a chicken dish that will have you begging for more! add veggies

I have finally caught up on my sleep; my bones told me to get the heck out of bed this morning. Coffee's on; good and strong today. Got the heat on cause it's COLD in here. And got to do some housework today!

Good morning everyone :)

Actually Karen veal comes from MALE calves that are considered pretty well useless and would be slaughtered anyway. It's the way some are raised that's cruel. Stick to red colored veal they're usually free range. White colored veal is the cruel one they're kept penned in the dark and milk fed.

If that was actually there it might be less scary. LOL Speaking of scary Walmart, we have been having an invasion of Kudzu bugs, they are the size of lady bugs but an olive drab color and a slightly different shape and if you squash them they STINK!!!!!!!!! it's a horrible smell and if you touch them you get that smell on your skin and you just have to live with it for hours, no amount of soap and water or vinegar or anything I've tried will get it off, it just takes time. I walked into our Walmart the other day and as soon as I was inside the door I smelled it, like multiplied a zillion times, I looked down and the entire floor of the entrance was covered with the bugs and with every step everyone squashed more of them. My shoes have been living outside since and they are a new favorite pair. :(

Yeah Walmart is kind of scary

Oh I forgot to mention that "they" brought the Kudzu over here from Asia for some reason I have forgotten and it has taken over the natural vegetation so they brought the bugs over to eat it only it likes soy just as well if not better, now they are planning to bring over some kind of wasp to kill the bugs. Why can't they just leave well enough alone? I have no doubt the introduced wasp will bring it's own problems and they will have to bring something else to take care of that. Honestly was killing bugs all that bad an idea?

We had stinkbugs everywhere this summer...forget about financial subterfuge, the Chinese are conspiring to bring the US down by way of nasty insects.
