How are you filling them? Are you being careful to not get juice down the center? Have you watched any of the carto tank filling vids--I had to watch 4-5 when I got mine. I still have issues with spitting right after I fill up the tank (carto's fine until I add juice in the tank). Usually in 12 hours the spitting is gone and I'm a happy camper.

The filling technique should be the same, only you skip the tank part.

Yep, watched vids until I see them with my eyes closed, read ocelot's blog, tried reading the threads. I drip three drops down the side, dry vape without it on the batt, drip some more, screw it on then try to vape and it spits through the mouthpiece.. maybe overfilling it? idk, I'm using the manual battery..think maybe I'll get verified and just PIF the rest and stick with my Evods and clearo's. my clearomizers for my 808 holds a ml so it's not a lot and I can still taste test since that's what I was doing when I was buying new juice

Ok, I must either have no patience or whatever, but I got some atties to drip with so I can try out diy, and I can't taste any flavor, plus it's spitting through the mouth piece...am I doing it wrong?
these are what I got... 5 Pack Bargain 510 Low Resistance Atomizers [510BGNLR-5PCK] - $14.99 :

These are the attys I use and love them. Lots cheaper too.

Check out the thread Mr. Mann started on dripping old style. You will learn what you need and can ask all your questions there and get answers from the experts.

I love dripping into a 510 atty. I drip right into my driptip, some people prefer to take off the drip tip to drip, I am too lazy and mine have a wide opening. The attys have to be primed by dripping about 5 or 6 drops and letting sit a bit, then drip 3 drops. Start at a little lower voltage like 3.8 or 4.0 and stay there for several hours then inch it up .1 every few hours to day. It may take a couple of days to get it just right. Keep them wet. Don't store dry. If I am putting it away for a few days I will drip a drop or two of vg onto the coil before storing. It does take a bit of practice. I do this 95% of my vaping.

:offtopic: alisa, does he like energy drinks?

Absolutely not. Tried a Red Bull once and just about lost his lunch.

His favorite thing is bananas. When I first started vaping, I got a sampler bottle of a really good banana just for him. It really tasted like a real banana, not the banana candies. He hated it. Hates mint. Likes raspberry, but I haven't gotten any of that yet (next on the list, from Darkest Day).

He really seems to gravitate towards non sweet tobaccos. I think he's turned off by the idea of inhaling a flavor you're used to eating, not breathing.

I'm actually thinking about trying dripping. When I'm ready I'll have to ask you so I get all the good answers.

Hmmm...I use the condom method, takes about 3 minutes to do that. Then if the top of the filling doesn't look slushy, put a few drops around the edges. Repeat as necessary. Then, I blow out the center (short, quick) to get any juice out of there. Let the carto sit upside down for a minute or so (open side up), then try vaping. Seems to work without the spitting. I find my cartotank to be a pain in the ....-I like my evods. But I do use it on occasion and like that I have one. Why? No idea.

I am a baby at this. That thread is where you will get the answers. That and Mr. Mann is where and how I learned how to drip. And since it is my main way to vape I have plenty of hours of practice in. :D

Jessermay, I just love babies and birthday cake! Did much of it actually get in his mouth? He looks cleaner than I remember my son did at his first birthday party.

Aw Dale. It is hard sometimes. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I thought I was the one with the potty mouth.

You can not make someone quit smoking or vape. I tried with my sister and cousin until I was the one that needed a straight-jacket. It is not worth it, just will stress you out. The one that does not want to participate could care less. They just don't want to hear it. At least that is how it was with me. It got better for me when I just dropped it.

Alisa, I just got done reading and posting in your thread about the experiment. I think the problem was that you were being misunderstood. It is hard to convey intention and emotion in a post. I run into that all the time when I am posting outside of this thread. Here, most know me well enough to kinda know what I mean if it comes out 'wrong' but in other threads I see lots of back and forth by people from either they did not read something properly or understand what they read to the post writes something that can be taken in different ways.

I think you went into this experiment with good intentions. Like you say, time will tell how it plays itself out.

    Rant..

Why is it that when you go to your doc appt 15 min early, you wait in the waiting room 5 min after your scheduled time. And after the vitals are done and the nurse leaves to let the doc know you're ready, he doesn't show up for 15 min. Finally when he comes in, he makes an (insincere) apology, asks his "how are you feeling?, blah, blah, etc" and it only takes 5min? So, total time waiting...35-40 for a 5-7 min visit :glare: and he said that if I need my 'scrips renewed, I can go online and request them. Almost afraid that'll take a week for it to be done. Plus side, I won't have to deal with him unless something changes for the worse or have to do my well-exam.

    /rant

I understand where you are coming from. However I've observed how my doctor operates. Sometime he's late sometimes he's not, I usually end up waiting in the exam room for a while. What he is doing is entering notes / writing scripts for the patient he just saw, then he reads my files, checks notes / labs etc. Then he comes in, we talk... he answers questions, we discuss how to proceed and I leave, he writes notes / writes scripts. I know waiting sucks, sometimes it just can't be avoided.

Aww...I'm not legit! Actually I censor myself a LOT on ECF. My everyday language tends to course, offensive, and somewhat sarcastic.

Plus I don't leave PIF often. That helps. Y'all don't report me :p

    Reported. :p

Believe me, you don't force this guy into doing ANYTHING...nor do you try. It's just not a good idea--I've learned the hard way. He was open to the idea, and gave it a try. End of. We've been just fine since I got home--no issue whatsoever. But I appreciate the (repeated) refrains that you can't force anyone to quit smoking.

Honestly, did that REALLY sound like what I was doing?

Edit: sorry if I sound so defensive, but it's really starting to bug me that people think I'm holding this guy hostage or something.

I think some of the wording could have come off badly depending on how it was read (skimmed). Things like: changing the nic and flavor, along with "experiment," "lets see how he handles that" (coupled with lol's) and refusal to buy smokes could paint a very bad picture if read incorrectly... as if he were a lab rat and the withholding of cigarettes was for your personal amusement.

I didn't get that, but I can see how someone might come to those conclusions based on the posts in the first couple pages. Don't let it bother you. :)

    Good morning everyone.

On the subject of drippers, I really like the IGO-L. Good size for a mod, easy to rebuild, decent airflow and holds a bunch of liquid. I load it with 15+ drops at a time which makes it very convenient to vape for a good hour or two, all while getting that great dipped flavor and vapor that tanks don't match.

Just don't tip it sideways or turn it upside down unless you feel like adding the title of, "Designated Leak Control and Liquid Waste Removal Technician" to your current job description...
