That is good to hear. Having family to at least tell you the worst neighborhoods is a good thing. Henderson is pretty nice and it is a little less crazy than a lot of Vegas. We were looking at a home in the Green Valley or Green Hills (can't remember) neighborhood of Las Vegas right aroung 2000 so it was quite a ways back. We have friends in Bullhead City, AZ now but I do not think I could live that far out in the dessert. Too remote for me. I am not that type of survivalist, I need civilization around me.

About when are you going, or are you waiting for the house to sell. We ended up moving and putting the house on the market in CT once we were already in TN. More expensive but easier to show and sell. You just need someone you can trust to oversee and have an honest realtor.

I'm looking for a home in the same area, Green Valley which is part of Henderson. It's funny that you mention Bullhead, when I was a child (like 5-8) our family would visit friends who lived there. I remember one day during the summer when it was 131 degrees. It was 130 in the shade. :) My dad took an egg, cracked it open, dropped it on the sidewalk and we watched it fry.

My house is on the market right now, but real estate sales have slowed down around here because it's getting closer to Xmas. The same should be happening in Vegas. I'm heading out there for a couple weeks in just under two weeks. I will probably pull my home here off the market and rent it out if it doesn't sell... providing of course I can find a house in LV.

LOX!

I need some advice on a battery issue I'm having.

If you look at the pics, you'll notice that the spring from my zmax is boring its way into the batteries. My questions are these:

  1. Are the batteries safe to use?
  2. At what point will they become dangerous, if they are not dangerous already?
  3. Do you have any suggestions to stop this from happening?

Thanks!

You will find something. Probably better than you are expecting. Make sure you really check the neighborhood. I have been getting updates from a realtor in Vegas since 2000. There is a pretty cutthroat part of the market going on. Lots of flipping and it has not been done well, just the cosmetic stuff. Lots of houses sat empty for a couple or more years from builders walking away or going bankrupt or people just losing their homes. Be careful of anything built past about 2005 or 2006. You probably know more about this type of stuff than I do since you have family there and hopefully they will steer you right. Good luck on the hunting. Hope your house here sells or rents quickly.

i havent had that problem with my 18650 batteries, mine only show a circle like impression, have you tried to use a pair of tweeziers to nug the topend of the post inside. im just thinking if its not hanging outside then it wouldnt be able to do that indint.

Good idea JJ, I will try that. (I feel stupid that I didn't think of that.. D'oh!) Mine is the telescopic version and I tend to use 18490's as a good compromise between size and performance... so there is some screwing-- er turning going on. :)

Do you think it's still safe to use those batteries? Leaky batteries are no fun, I've seen a lot of meltdowns over the last few years in things like remotes and (gasp) one of my guitars.

Good morning Dale.

Good morning Dale.

what i did was bore a second hole right near the hole on the bottom screw on piece, to give it 2X the venting. also my kts has that sharp pointy end also thats how i got around it, with tweeziers... i only use it sparingly it collects dust more than its used lol

Well. I made it all the qay through security with a thumb tack in my shoes. Security asked me to run it as a test for them. Xray didn't catch it. Forgot about ot until I stepped wrong and poked myself. 2nd time ive been able to bring it through security as s test. Its useful to peel off gum from your shoes...

And im typing tbis from cruising altitude... on free wifi I won with a joke. The guy I talked to in support was a manager having a bad day. I was nice and asked why the email promo I had wasnt working. He offered an all day pass ($20) if I could make him laugh. My joke was what does a green grape aay to a red grape? --- BREATHE! Your turning purple.

OK, now you have me picturing a terrorist trying to take over the plane with a thumbtack.

So would it be like "Open that cockpit door or I'll poke the Flight Attendant's eye out! Oops I dropped it, hang on a sec."?

Lol. Idk. Landed in MCO airport. Waiting in the line to ride the bus to hotel. Finally changed out of my sweat pants (literally sweaty pants) into my shorts. Have a gazillion phone notifications. Can't vape because a mother of small kids asked me not to politely. Have no drink and cant leave line. Grr.

Do you know that they were invented in CT by a preacher into healthy foods. Graham flour is named after him and it is a whole wheat flour more coarsely ground.

I did actually know that. Sometime when your bored google corn flakes, grape nuts, YMCA, the Boy Scouts, and .........ion. It's hilarious ;)
Apparently they felt it was a serious problem among youth of the day and all these things were invented to prevent it
