@Eskie I see no noticable shift in color or contrast, and I was looking at it almost level from the sides and top/bottom.

OK. Had to check it out. The specs off the YiHi site identify it as a TFT IPS screen. Bad labeling on their part as by definition an IPS screen is not a TFT, and your description is consistent with the off axis performance of an IPS screen. They probably "translated" LCD IPS to TFT IPS thinking TFT equals an LCD.

OLEDs have become popular for their color saturation and power conserving abilities, but an IPS screen can still look excellent.

LOL it's good in bright sunlight. I kinda wish it was a non-reflective screen, or they used an oleophobic coating on that freaking fingerprint magnet.

The vape though...oh the vape...lol. It's been pretty good, dual spaced SS claptons @ .30

I really got in close. Now you can see a little pixelation:

I'd bet that is an IPS screen. How is it in bright sunlight?

Or more important, how's the vape?;)

The vape is definitely on par with other high end yihi chips, to be perfectly honest at this point it's a hard sell to someone between this and the q mini I cannot discern any noticeable difference from that and my old q class but that is by no means a bad thing, however that screen is a gift and a curse definitely a mod that turns heads, but that screen makes it almost exclusively a at home mod for me all it would take would be a tip over onto the wrong surface or a knock in your pocket, which reminds me anyone know what yihis policy is for replacing the screen should it get smashed. And with regards to the burn in I've changed the wallpaper now to the ring one which doesn't have the fonts anywhere near as big as my previous wallpaper hopefully that should solve the residual burn in.

I don't know their policy, but as screen breakage should really only occur through user damage, I'm sure it's not under warranty. The question then is what will they charge for replacement of the screen. Just another reason to not balance it on the edge of your desk while scrounging around looking for something and not paying attention.

Oh sorry that's what I meant, didn't think for a second they would do it under warranty, and I know mine very rarely leaves the house with me but mistakes do happen I'm sure someone is going to have to put a bandage over a poorly screen before long haha.

The one I used the gunmetal paint and carbon fiber wrap didn't seem particularly sturdy either, but ofc. I don't know that for sure, def. not a mod I'd stick in my pocket w/ keys and .... though.

Too big for me with a atty on top to put in my pocket, if it ever does leave the house with me it comes out in the cremedevape bags they give away with new mods, mostly the only time I will take it out is when I'm driving and it can sit on the passenger seat. That being said I said exactly the same with my dicodes no6 and once shiny thing syndrome wore off I became far less protective of it and it never got damaged or scratched.

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but is anyone experiencing trouble with the clock running too fast?

edit: maybe I should clarify ..the SXmini G? I have the carbon, and the clock is running way fast.

How much time does it gain over a specified time frame?

It gains approximately 2 hours for every one. Not real sure as I haven't measured it. I did update to the latest firmware ( 4.3 ). The unit itself works well. I just wonder if it's a faulty chip, or something that can be fixed via firmware. If no one else is having this issue, it could mean a bad unit :(

A strange thing: Q mini then G class while the Q was still fresh. Both fantastic mods, the only sell points for me for the G over the Q mini were: already had a Q class, and I wanted a home for 30mm attys (first world problems lol) The big color screen is nice, but just another piece of glass for someone clumsy (like me) to break.

but on the other hand it is less than 4 cartoons of cigs. and all that would be left is a full ashtray.
