my issue completely went away after switching off bleutooth (and also can't seem to reproduce it anymore with it turned on(?)) so for now I have decided to keep it.
Just updated with the latest firmware, and this is how it looks now, battery voltage and time is a nice addition.
It takes the place of the temp and wire type when in wattage mode:

now we need our own wallpapers Yihi! :)

Has anybody else noticed any screen burn in? I keep mine religiously at 25 watts and when I was playing with the standby clock I noticed a very faint burn in already. Definitely needs a stealth mode if the display is that prone to burn in its less then a month old.
Just got mine the other day, but I'll keep an eye out for it. How about the firing delay when the screen has timed out? The update supposedly addresses something to do with a delay but I haven't noticed a difference.

To be honest I havnt noticed a delay at all, but that being said I've come from a dicodes no6 to the q class fancied a change, and I'm positive that had a big delay between pressing the button and firing so maybe I'm that used to the delay the one from the g class doesn't seem as prominent.
Sadly my pc is pretty much dead so upgrades won't be on the cards for me anytime soon.

From quick research about TFT (lcd screens) this may help: (they call burn in Image Persistence)

Prevention/treatment[edit]
Image persistence can usually be reversed by allowing the liquid crystals to return to their relaxed state. In other words, turning off an LCD for hours or days will relax the crystals and eliminate the image retention. For PC monitors, it is also ideal to rotate desktops, and hide away elements on the screen which normally would be displayed perpetually (like the taskbar in Microsoft Windows or the Dock in Mac OS X). The usage of a screensaver that has a constantly changing image can help as well.

Another approach to removing LCD image persistence is to first create a solid white image and display the image as a screensaver covering the entire display area for an extended period of time.[5]

Question to a G owner on these screens. If you rotate the mod while looking at the screen, off angle, does the image shift in stuff like contrast and color saturation? That's typically an issue with TFT displays. LCD IPS and oled screens don't. I guess I'm just a bit surprised by the screen choice and am curious about that point.
