Can you turn off the LED's that illuminate the "SX Mini" that you show as Red and Blue in your picture...
No. You can really tell the software and firmware isn't done yet. There's things that are only half done and some don't work at all yet with the phone app. Very happy with the build quality, firmware and software need to be finished.

Normally the lights are white, and you can't turn it off (yet, my guess it will come in a firmware update). It lights up when you fire the mod and stays on till the screen dims. Handsomestan has modded it to give a different color of light :)

Oh....OK ... so you mean the colors can't be changed?

C'mon Retird I know that's what you meant, aswell as you know from reading my review and watching djlsb vapes video that no you can't turn it off. ;)

If you knew what I meant then why did you answer the way you did? I ask you only because you have one and you know that reviews are not always reliable or even correct.... don't get your pants in a wad....

A little tip for the G class, the front panel comes off very easily, just undo the 4 screws and the front plate and fire button can be lifted off.

You can now easily cut a phone screen protector to size, slap it on and reattach the front plate. Saves worrying about scratching the screen when removing smudges :thumb:

Noticed another thing that needs added to the list of things that need updated:

The main screen of the SXI app for iOS is laid out well on the Iphone and shows 5 colored large icons. Icons are labeled as Connection, Upgrade, Settings, Information, and Reset.

This iOS SXI app when downloaded on an iPad gives the same main screen but it shows larger icons and the larger icon for Information overlaps with the label (words) for the Connection icon such that you cannot read the word "Connection". The Reset icon also overlaps the Upgrade icon wording but because of the transparent color of the Reset icon you can read "Upgrade" thru it but still needs to be corrected.

Nice info to help protect the display. Will doing this void the warranty? Just asking....

Still tcr input, no TFR range for mapping of custom wires like claptons, no atomizer, battery or case analyzing or internal resistance offset. Just a more flashy version of what yihi already had. They could have done much better with a board that size.

I am disappoint.

But hey, cat pictures. So there's that.

Got my G-Class today - very nice mod!

I do have some questions, 1.) I run a Kayfun 5 with a simple kanthal microcoil on it, my ohms reading jumps between 1.85 and 2.45 - is that supposed to be like that? I tried locking the resistance by pressing the joystick in but that didn't help. I had the same on a Vaporflask Classic but other mods show a steady ohm reading .....

2.) I run kanthal so no TC, but still I can only select TC wires and the Joules and temperature settings are active - is that supposed to be that way?

3.) right out of the box when I removed the wrapping around the little joystick fell off - I don't know if it simply hasn't been glued on properly or is it supposed to be removable? I set it back and pressed it in firmly, seems like it's sittin okay right now.

The same thing happened to me, I emailed them and returned it, I was a bit turned off by this.

1. All I use now is the V5, only time I have wandering ohms is when the 510 screw has got a bit loose. Try tightening it right up, always works for me bud.
2. The screen displays all settings, when using kanthal just change the Watts which is power mode not temp control. The other settings displayed do not relate.

Wow that sucks! I'd send mine right back, not surprised you were turned off! The joystick should be rock solid, one of the best things about this mod!

I don't have one yet so I can't say for sure but watching reviews isn't there a novice setting. maybe go in there.
Good thinking bud but unfortunately it is a mode on other sxmini mods which hasn't made its way to the G class.

@alex_at To make it simpler whilst you get used to it I'd suggest not to use wallpaper 1, all other wallpapers display the setting in use largely in the middle of the screen, so in your case you want Watts which is power mode for non temp control wires.
