hum, none of my dna's with 2 amp charging do that.... and I update them frequently when an update comes about...
It's not about the dna...it's about the USB port trying to push more power than it's supposed to and detect a device at the same time. They do it. Especially if you're using a laptop that's not plugged into power.hum, none of my dna's with 2 amp charging do that.... and I update them frequently when an update comes about...
OK it's not his device it is brand new. I always get my SX's from Varitube and Perry the owner does these things for me. I am sure they have the best CS for YiHi there is. He honors the 1 year warranty and if you have problems he will take it back attempt to fix if not will ship a new one immediately. That's why I always do my business their. He is the North American service center for YiHi. Not the cheapest but always MSRP.If you have the driver installed on your computer, you can just plug his device in, launch the software, and perform the upgrade. You need to have both the "driver" software and the firmware, which are separate downloads. The settings from your device can be moved to his device, which, if he is using the same atty with the same coil configuration, this might be a benefit for him.

OK, your right. Moving on...Well my laptop computer has a USB charge rate of 1 amp and none of my DNA's with 2 amp charging do what you are saying.... which DNA device do you have that does this? I don't recall anybody posting that you must take batteries out of a DNA in order to update it and I've not had to do it ever.... I'm charging a VS Switchbox 75 now and it has a 2 amp charger built in and it is charging at 1 amp from my computer and I just reinstalled a Service Pack while it was plugged in to charge.
You can plug in an in-line USB meter between your computer and the device and you can see what amps the computer is actually sending to the device. As the batteries get closer to being charged the amps from the computer reduces....
So I take it the G is goood with onboard charging correct. I've never trusted my DNA's for that but I've heard that they don't do balanced charging very well.
You are mainly a DNA guy as I recall from the Evolve Forum. Do you have a G.LOL.... you can hear about anything on social media..... I charge all my devices via USB and have no need to take the batteries out until they need replacing...

I think I've gotten a lot of good info from you on that forum.
I was an SX guy and have been since they came out with the S, I tried the DNA's for a while, I still like them OK but I really like the quality of the SX. My DNA's work well on SS which is what I like and one of their last updates they really got the SS doin good. Back to the SX's. Good to have a change once in a while though.Nope, no G here.... my comments here today were only referencing the DNA comments made during the discussion about charging and updating and taking batteries out etc. and DNA's needing the same. Notice I made no comments about any Yihi devices, nor will I. And yes I use DNA devices (only had 1 Yihi device, the ML) and have beta tested every DNA board prior to release except the Darwin board. I beta test other products also. Yes I'm frequently found at the Evolv Forum and other forums helping others when I can.
Folks need to vape whatever "trips their trigger" so Yihi is Yihi and Evolv is Evolv. Kinda similar but also different.......

How is the onboard charging? Any problems with that.
Thats good to know. Was going to order some new batteries but I figue I'll wait till our little RVing is over in about a month. I have 2 new VTC5's i thought I'd use in the G till I get home and use the onboard charging. I've never actually charged at 2a When I do it with the batteries out I like to use the lowest possible with my charger that is .25a, I think the batteries get a better charge at the lower setting. I'm sure that 2a will be really fast. Is the final version of the v6.7 FW out? I've only seen beta but I downloaded the sxi file from djlsb he has all the dl there so if people were having problems getting them from YiHi but I had no problem getting the latest SXi-Q from them and installed it. Will try it out today when it gets here. I only use SS316L in TC mode. I thought of setting up some configuration files but really see no purpose I can always go to Powerful or Powerful+. If they have the proper TCR set in there should be great. I guess that is kinda wasting all the features that are on the new G, but I have come to be a pretty boring vaper. I use K5's with a .47 single coil installed and that is all I use. I occasionally do use power but still with the same coils.I've had my device for a few month. Charge it each night with the onboard charger. Not a single issue.
For the most part busy thread=lots of problems. The Sigelei 213 owner's thread for example.Man this thread is slow. Don't know why maybe everyone is enjoying their G.
