After my first two weeks in, I calculated 2 months for my "breakeven" date....well that has all been thrown under the bus!!!!!

Way too many "new" things for us noobs to try!

Yeah, being new, we are replacing a habit with a new addiction. This addiction is sooo much fun. Not cheap getting set up with the "dream setup", but I think I'm set for now. Should be a couple weeks at least of "savings". :)

Less than 1 month no smoking = Reo Mini 2.0
Less than 1 month no smoking = ProVari v2
~1 month no smoking = LOTS of tanks/attys/DIY supplies

And the rest went to my savings account. Just put $7k down on a new car, took about 6 months.

Note: The downpayment was NOT entirely from vaping savings, but I was able to save an additional $200/month with vaping... :D

Every few months I see a thread like this and I must say it makes me giggle. Save money? If I did I sure don't know where it went. Quite frankly I can't even figure out how I managed to spend $1825.00 on cigarettes every year. I know I am saving, i just can't figure out where it's gone. I'm zero nic now so by my calculations I should see about $1700 more in the checking. It's a mystery to me.

personally i spent approx 10 a day on cigs, I know not everyone pays this much but under my price 3600 a year I could never find enough interesting vaping stuff to go beyond this.

sheesh 18 a month? cant get that here. even RYO is about 20 a carton. but if I had to i could just buy juice for less then 18 a month. must be vapin some gooood stuff lol

well, a bag of tobacco costs 19 bucks, tubes, 3 bucks, i can get anywhere from 3-4 boxes of tubes out of one bag. so its around 18 bucks. actually, i vape cheap juice, blumist sells a 120ml bottle for 20 bucks and thats usually what i use. it's the cartos that run me so much. i can only manage to get around 3-4 days out of one, so thats about 20 bucks a month just for cartos. juice just depends, but it's the lowest cost of my expenses. it really only comes out to slightly more than RYO. it's worth it regardless. i'm spending an extra 5 bucks a month to live longer and healthier.

The first nine months all went into vaping. Then, for another six months, I spent a bit less, but on bulk-sized and DIY purchases. I just placed an order for about $100 today ... last time I bought anything was in May for about the same amount. I didn't buy anything special with the money I saved ... just more freedom with my spending I guess.

I have an app that i plug everything into so I can see my quit smoking stats. So far, in 2.3 years of vaping, I have spent $2467 on vaping and have saved $3625 by not smoking. I DIY, buy bulk cartos, and own a provari and a few twists and grippers. No crazy arsenal, but plenty to back up the back ups and then some. At this point vaping costs me about $2.68 per week, or $10.72 per month. That's for 2 cartos a week plus my DIY juice. When something breaks or needs replaced that cost goes up of course, but that is maybe 1-3 times per year. I have taken 2 trips to Florida and stash a little extra into my retirement fund each month!
