I still use the Bellus everyday. I have about 10 in rotation. I bought them before the Digiflavor Sirens were released, and basically the Bellus is one of the best single coil rta's I've used. I wish UD had released just a single coil version, but the silicon plugs seem to be holding up well through constant, daily usage.

It took several months before I could be totally leak free upon refilling. It took that long to get the wicking down pat. Lately I've been 98% leak free upon filling/refilling. There are always those times one rushes through things and make a mistake, but the Bellus teaches you what it likes ;)

I also like the fact that these are affordable, produce excellent flavor and plenty of vapor no matter running it nearly closed for a MTL style or wide open for the DL; it breaks down completely and comes with ample replacement parts and there is absolutely no press fit pieces like the Bachelor abomination.

Thanks for the excellent filling tips. Now that most stores have these on clearance due to the glut of products, it's always useful.
Wow 10!

Just did it again! With a few mm of visible liquid in the glass: AFC closed, uncap, fill'er up...oops! Mop a little overflow with napkin, cap back on, then...fire and draw while twisting the AFC ring until the air swoops in. Perfect.

I'm naming this "The Suck-and-Twist Maneuver." Haha, man00ver...get it? :)

OK that was bad.

That is a sweet looking combo.

I tried your method without closing the AFC before I pulled the top off and got leaking. Tried again closing AFC off first then top off and fill and the suck and twist (lol). Worked pretty good. I did suck up some juice through the drip tip but am really impressed with how it didn't leak. I had the tank about a quarter full when I did this so am really impressed with no leaking. Sucking some juice up may be my wick job, it was kind of a sloppy one when I wicked last iirc. After this tank gonna be meticulous with my wick job and continue using your method to see how it goes for me.

I think with this method and also the tank nearly empty it would never leak, but I'm pretty intrigued on being able to fill the Bellus with juice still in it so gonna continue to make this work.

Thanks.

Bellus was always known for "wet" initial hits after filling, unless you wick it just so (and even then). Of course, if you overfill and spill a little down the pipe, like I just did, you will surely meet it again right away.

But I can live with that. I'm just happy not to have to be mopping those cheese-grater airholes with a napkin anymore! Suck-n-twist, baby!!

That's true as well. With the bone dry and then couple quick fires method I do not get the wetness though.

Thing that sucks is it's gotta be pretty much dry hitting to accomplish that.

wait..wait..., is this the new Bellus thread? It deserves an active thread :)
I'm in! Let's keep this one going. All the same ladies and gents from the old one seem to be here.

Agree with @jefsview, it has always been an underdog/underrated RTA beause folks have trouble wicking. The vapor output is so dense though!
Any Mel Brooks fans in here?
