Well my pre-order on November 30th from Angelsigs.com arrived today for a Black one and 2 silver units. The black one is very nice and it did pass the scratch and check test but wished it had the velocity styled deck instead of the 4 post design. Unfortunately my 2 silver attys were v1 and not the v2 which I ordered. :nah: Bummer after waiting 26 days so I emailed them with the issue and now waiting for an RMA. I already have a v1 which is a great atty but with some needed changes which the v2 offers. The black v2 is now getting an ultrasonic Vodka bath along with a new Indulgence MT-rta and a new black Aromamizer RTDA. All of them are very clean but I always give them a good bath first now knowing where they have been and whose hands have touched them. lol

Tonight I will build the black Zephyrus v2 with some Ti and post my experience with it. Maybe play with it on my new reuleaux DNA200 mod which also came in today a day late after Xmas. Along with some other toys, it has been a good Xmas. :D

I'm new to this forum, and really am not sure if this is the right place to be asking this question. I know that a lot of forums frown upon opening a new thread to talk about something that already has an existing thread though. So here goes. A mod can move this if need be.

I just got my zephyrus v2 a few days ago. It's my first RTA, although I've built and wicked the rba section of my delta II for a while. At first I was loving this tank. Still am actually. It's easy to build on and the vape is stellar. Haven't had a single issue with dry hits either. On the second day of owning it though I changed my black o rings out for the blue ones, to match my mod. I also rewicked it for the first time. Ever since I've been having my problem.

The dang thing is leaking. Not all the time, only when I fill it from the top holes. I first thought i somehow messed up putting on the new o rings. I've fiddled with them over and over though and I'm pretty positive I have them on right. Although it isn't quite as tough to screw on the base as it originally was the first day I had it. I've also rewicked it again to make sure I have enough cotton in there. I put in as much as I could possibly fit into my two mm coils. The cotton is much tighter in my coils than I would normally have it now. I've made sure that I have everything tightened up as tight as possible. Still leaking every time I top fill.

I'm at a loss as to how to solve the issue. I love how this tank performs, so I'm still using it. Luckily I can bottom fill it with pretty much no issue. Just a minute speckle of juice seems to eventually appear inside my airflow adjustment ring. It's nothing compared to the leakage when top filling though.

I guess I should mention that it's leaking out of the airflow slots at the bottom. Not from the base of the glass that the o ring sits on.

Anybody have any suggestions for me? I'm a complete noob with RTA's, so I'm probably doing something wrong. I can't for the life of me figure it out though. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any help, I really do appreciate it.

I believe it's your wicking issue. Maybe the tails too short or you have the wick too thin. Post up a picture so we can have a look. [emoji4]

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm working on figuring out how to upload images from my phone lol. I'll have it figured out eventually and will post my pictures. I'm using the wicking method I saw in grimmgreens review video. He says it's the way he wicks his goblin mini and zephyrus. Basically all I'm doing is combining all 4 cotton ends and pulling them up, sliding the rba deck cover piece on, and then trimming each individual piece of cotton evenly to the base of the rba wall piece. Then lightly stuffing each piece of cotton onto the top of the juice channels. Been wicking great, though you're probably right about this beingthe source of my leakage. One of my wicks looked to hardly even be touching the juice channel when I went to take the pics.

Anywho I'll get the pics up sometime today. Thanks again!

I can't figure out how to post the images directly. Here's the link to the pictures of how my deck an wick look though. Like I said, I stuff the cotton down with the side chimney piece already on. If the cotton moved as I screwed off the piece for a picture I'm not sure. I left it alone though for the picture. It looks like one of the wicks is not even touching the juice hole. That is my problem maybe?

Also, please excuse my shoddy coils and dirty fingernails :p

The link worked when I previewed the post. I'm an idiot I guess, sorry. When I try to upload directly from my phone it says file to large. And it won't take my photo bucket URL for some reason.

No worries. Viewed thru web browser. From the looks the tails are too short. I have mine about 1/4 into the channels. I don't have my zephy with me so I can't take pics for you. Lend it to a pal.

Get the wicks a lil longer and tuck em to the juice channel. Then it should work fine.

I was finally able to get some time a couple hours ago and give rewicking it a go. And you were right, my wicking was the issue. I used a different method and tried to get my tails about half way down the juice channels. Top filling is working a hundred times better now. I still need to tweak them a little bit, I'm getting just a tiny little dab of juice sneaking out the airflow holes a few seconds after filling. It's substantially less now though. So much so that at first I wondered if it was juice or just condensation.

Goes to show that I still have a lot to learn. Before this I didn't even know that bad wicking methods could be related to leaky tanks. Ah well, I'm enjoying the journey.

Thanks a lot for your help man. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question. Im wishing for good karma to come your way!
