28 here, married w/no children. Been smoking for almost 16 years and I actually didn't planned to quit but my SO brought home an Ego and I just loved it! I gotta say the upfront costs of vaping are pretty high though, I've been vaping for a month and I already spend close to two hundred dollars of juice and cartos, etc. I know, I know, I could do DIY but we have small children in our house and I just can't in good faith bring that big amount of nic around my home. My husband and I make close to 4000 mo but we live in CA so it evens out. We live paycheck to paycheck but that's prob cause we spend a lot on stuff we shouldn't (videogames, movies, dinners, alcohol, etc) Anyhow, I figure after I find 6-10 juices I really like I'll stop looking and just replace the rest of the stuff as it breaks. So who introduce you guys to vaping??

I should change the first post to under 40.... weird because if you double my age it isn't even 40 yet

Yes you should. I'll be 34 in June but I'm no where near old, yet I'm not a spring chicken either.

That said, I find I can usually manage a budget of 15 bucks a week on vaping. Granted that is about 3 times what I was spending on analog pipe tobacco (I bought the cheapest crap ever for the past couple years) but I look at it this way. I can either vape now, or I can vape later--with a nebulizer. Its worth it to me mostly because I had to take care of my grandmother in her final years and she smoked for like 60 years.

That said I find egos to be my go to batteries. They are by no means the latest and greatest thing out there, but they get the job done, and I like them. Though I do plan once I have my juice stockpile up enough to get a passthru. I spend most of my vaping time at the computer actually--that should save my batteries a bit.

So who introduce you guys to vaping??

A complete stranger actually. I was buying zippo fluid one day at Walgreens. Wal-mart for some reason carries zippo everything else but won't carry fuel. *eye roll* I ran into a lady who was buying Njoy kings. I had heard of "e-cigarettes" but thought they were a scam. She had stopped smoking using the Njoy kings--so I was intregued by the prospect of a success story. I thought that they were like the patches, gums and etc. I'm sure everyone here tried to quit at some point using them--you know the results. So I made a rather impulsive decision and bought one. I tried it, I liked it well enough that I could use it as a replacement for smoking.

However, Njoy Kings are a disposable, and they are disposable for a reason. So I immediately began doing research on PVs and ended up here. About a week later I bought an ego kit that was well priced at a local B&M (I got really lucky there to have a B&M in walking distance) it was only about $5 more than on the website...and its served me well so far.

So I guess you could say I was introduced to vaping by a random stranger. That said I do plan on introducing vaping to my Uncle at Easter. He's smoked ever since I can remember and I'm pretty sure he would not want to end up like his mother (my grandmother) did with the oxygen and the nebulizer and all that.

Back In Mesa
I'm 26 in Phoenix area. I've been vaping for a long time (sig) with a gap in there when I was living in Vegas working on the strip. I was surrounded by analogs at literally every turn and I took the "easy" way out for a while. Well when I came back I an ego twist that broke after about 2 weeks and I just went ahead and got a vamo instead. Got an AGA-T2 RBA to throw on top and I love it. Would never think about going back anymore.

I think its funny that people from (most of) our generation are so free about talking about how much they make. My experience is the generations above ours talking about that is like asking them who they vote for. Very off-limits. I'll bite though. I grew up with a single mom my whole life who raised my (older) sister and I by any means necessary, usually working a lot. A few years ago she kind of... lost her mind a bit and has a lot of trouble taking care of herself and things are getting a lot worse. My sister is married, kids, good job, all that stuff so she kind of has her own things to take care of. Im still single, no kids (that i know of) AKA its kind of on me. So, long story short, I left my ballin job in Vegas and came back out here to help take care of her and figured I would go back to school. So I work full time out here doing security, work through other various party companies as an independent contractor dealing casino games, and full time school starts in the summer time. Better late than never I guess. I couldnt really tell you what I make but I'd say its probably in the low 20s but more if I work more parties. Ive been trying to have a budget for the first time in my life and I have maybe 80-100 for vaping a month in said budget. I dont actually spend that much on juice which is all I need but if I dont spend it all I rollover to the next months budget so that way I can buy stuff I want.

There is a reason why us "young folks" started vaping.... Cause cigarettes make us "young" folks unattractive when it comes to gorgeous women!!
I was just talking about this yesterday with a female friend of mine. Its funny when people say this to me because when I was smoking analogs I dated a lot of what I would consider (obv) gorgeous women and a decent portion were the ones that didnt like smoking or found it unattractive or whatever. I hate when males or females pigeon-hole a whole group like "I would never date someone that smokes."

I am young, had graduated with my MBA...
Hope everything gets better for you health-wise. Thank you for sharing your story and keep at it. Its the best decision for your health.

Just reading through all the long posts and it's nice to see that there's some real people out there that happen to vape.

I did get my reo in btw, got it yesterday but was too excited to post anything except in the reo forum.
