Meh... I don't have too much a harder time connecting with older adults. Most are pretty awesome. What is a little agitating at times is when an occasional older person forget just how broke it can be to be young. Makes some a bit out of touch to do with what's "affordable" for everyone and really condescending at times. This is more an in general quip that happens once and a while.

Im not rich, I dont work, and ive been able to save between 2 of us 500.00 a month from not smoking that goes to my new hobby, I didnt get everthing that I wanted at one time its been over time for the both of us. I do know what it is to be broke, it still happens with me and im in the "older catigory".

over time im sure you could...

This.
It took me months of saving and planning to buy some of the toys I have in my collection, and I enjoy them more as a result. Don't be frustrated about what you can't afford- just make the best out of what you can. So you can only afford rba clones? You're no less of a person to me. Use a knockoff eGo with $1 cartos and budget liquid? More power to you!
Recommendations are just that. Take them or leave them, but the burden falls on you as a consumer to research the items you choose to spend your hard-earned money on, and the only thing that matters is that it works for you.

*sigh* I'm too old for the young, too young for the old. I have no place!

Me too! Although, I would like to say that people of all ages can be and are in varying financial and time situations. For exampe, I am an unemployed middle aged dental hygienist. In an ideal job market, I would be working 3-4 days a week making pretty nice money but not in today's world. I have had to make adjustments.
As far as the "if you can afford to smoke you can afford to vape" statement, that is most definitely true. It just requires more planning and patience. I want it all and I want it now but guess what...I have to wait and it is not going to kill me :)

Don't worry someone has to make a "Middle life crisis" thread.

Wait a second, you mean the ENTIRE APV forum isn't the mid-life crisis thread????

I have friends my age looking at Corvette Zr-1s and Porsches. Me? I'm eyeballing this sleek and sexy Zenesis TI.

So this is a great mentality expressed here. And it's coming from living with this sucky economy. There is something good coming out it after all. To buy anything anymore is like having to protect ourselves from being victimized by commodities and slaves to the "gotta haves"

23 here. Graduated from college. Earning over 50k a year, guess I don't really have much to contribute to the thread since I don't really need to budget, but anyways. I usually try and budget about $30 a month though to keep me from buying everything on the market, I usually buy 180 ml at a time and just put another order in when I start to get low.

i better get my posting in while i still can! in May i will fall into the no-mans-land aka mid life crisis subfourm of ecf lol

With my aga I made a nice 1.8 ohm coil, I just used a cigarette lighter, but apparently thats defined as "dirty" heat or something

the new trend is actually leaning toward not oxidizing the wicks at all. ther eis a mehtod you can use to get your ss mesh rba working without the torching, quenching ans so forth. a lot of folks are viewing it as better in a few different regards.

as far as the dripping goes and being frustrated with it, know that lots of dripping RBAs can hold as much liquid as a standard carto.

with regards to what i can afford for vaping supplies, well.....i dont spend as much as i could. but i spend more than i need to. i like to actually use everyhting i buy. it grates on me if i have even a 10ml or a pack of cartos that is sitting there unused. i like to either use completely, or PIF my stuff. and i tend to lean toward using :D

RBAs are interesting animals. theyre good for younger folks who have excellent eyesight and nimble fingertips. but theyre also good for older folks who might have more experience and patience. i recommend them to everyone for their performance and their resiliance to the vaping zombie apocolypse phenominon. however, these things aint gonna build themselves!

Oh, I'm soooo much onto dis thread!

Just droppin' in to check out our future.

Yepper, I'm one o' dose ol' farts. But, damnit, I've been dere and done dat (and have a light switch on a plaque as a retirement gift).

I do not envy the future you younglings will face. BUT, you, and only you, will determine your own outcomes. If you're contributing to this forum or just gaining info, then you're on da right track.

Just a few Iffyisms...

If ya don't need it, don't buy/charge it.
Work hard... it will pay off if you take care of yourself and family.
Start saving now for your future. Yes, it may hurt, but if you don't, it will hurt much more later!
Too many are worse off than you.
Love is never over rated.
Dry hits are not to be accepted!!!

Hey, ya'll have fun and play nice...

Oh, BTW, I'm 66 years young...

If you saved the money, then by all means get what you want. you can get the Zen later on and still be happy.
