I am actually surprised that there are so many young people vaping. This generation seems to smoke less than any of the other generations. So I would have thought there would be lots more older people cuz vaping is suppose to be all about quitting cigs.

I think for longer-term smokers it's more difficult to reconcile the fear of yet another failed attempt at quitting with the trouble of trying to change a habit you've had for most of their life. Younger people still have the flexibility to think different and try new, shiny, electronic things. My mom, for example, would hate vaping becuase it would mean she would have to worry about batteries, charging things, and refilling--instead of grabbing another pack and a lighter.

I'm 36 and the vape shop here is a mixed bag and we all get along.....love the fact when I go in they remember me and are excited to try my vape and have me try theirs. They make all there own juices and I buy a lot from them but not all so when I go in I usually take in a juice that isn't theirs just for them to try something new.

I'm 55 and smoked for 42 years and have been vaping exclusively for over a year and will NEVER Smoke again. I wish there were ecigs when I was younger and am not proud of 42 years of smoking.

i smoked a cigarette today just because i could (first cigarette i smoked in about two months) and i realized something...they taste like ... it gave me a headache and i was very disappointed about the lack of smoke. i took a hit exhaled and thought to myself...maybe theirs something wrong with the atomizer sice that's usually the problem...then i noticed i was smoking a cigarette

I'd never confuse a cigarette with my vaping, as I haven't yet ordered "... juice" from any of the better known vendors. :p

MEMBER HELP NEEDED!!!

CASAA has issued a press release regarding the FDA proposed rules. It has been issued through PR Newswire, posted on our blog and (if you are on our email lists) you will soon receive a copy via email.

We need your help to get this press release picked up by news outlets! (Just releasing it through a service - even a good one - doesn't mean it will get picked up by the major news outlets.)

Here is what you can do to help:

  • Forward the email (if you are a member - otherwise, forward the link) to your local newspaper editors and news station producers. (We do not have a list - please help us by finding the information yourself.)
  • Post the press release link on the Facebook pages of local and national newspapers and networks (but please do not spam if you see it's already been posted, just comment on the existing link that you'd like to see it reported.)
  • Tweet the link to the press release to local and national newspapers and networks.
  • Post a link to the press release on your Facebook timeline and in vaping groups for them to share.
For those of you chomping at the bit to "do something now," here is your chance!

58 ...married, 2 adult kids and 2 fur kids (a Chinook and a Border Collie)

The border collie alone is enough to add 10 years to your age. I just lost my 16 year old border collie over thanksgiving. She was the 4th border I have owned...my first when I was just a kid. As luck would have it, a 4 month old popped up at the humane society the same weekend. Finnegan is now an established resident...but OMG, I forgot how demanding a young border can be.

Let's just say that Mick Jagger is older than I am, and I have never smoked cigarettes, but I enjoy vaping!
AND, if you say, "Who is Mick Jagger?", then I know you are way younger than I am.

mick jagger and keith richards are what ...... would look like if it steeped for 70 years

bonus points if you can decode the "......"

19 here (although I often get told I act much more mature for my age).
Watch out, around the corner is the time when you get to wish living to be as old as you look... ;)

Been smoking cigarettes since I was 16.
Beat you, I started at 13. Quitted at 31 tho, with the lungs of a 75 yo.
Been smoking a few pipes a week ever since. Vaping —something I stumbled upon quite unintentionally, trying to help a friend quit the coffin nails– reintroduced me to something I had forgotten; inhaling!

Switched to the e-cigarette as soon as I heard about everybody else switching to it.
Another "watch it!". Better not hear about everyone switching to crack, extasis or harpooning horse. :)
