As I'm reading through this thread, I find interesting the thoughts being brought out. I dont' think it's a "segregation" by age so much as a "cherry picking" through life interests at a certain point in our development as humans. Because these developmental points come at particular ages, well I would guess that is the particular reason WHY it's age based.

Lets face it, a thread entitled "OMG I'm going to be 30......" or "Prune juice, natures way of getting down to the nitty gritty....." aren't exactly thread titles designed to take someone(s) thoughts seriously (although I would find the vape powered lap top at 60lbs a durn intersting thread).

I don't see any problem with folks congregating to a particular thought process. I agree with the poster who said (I'm paraphrasing), it doesn't matter, in the end we're all in this together, and we'll be like any family. If you mess with one us, get in, sit down and shut up, 'cause we are going to come through and stomp your ....!!!

Well, I, for one, know 50- and 60-year-olds wouldn't understand me totally flipping out that I'll be turning 30 in 3 days. People who are in the 25-30-something range could relate to that anxiety and apprehension. More of a relation factor.

I'm 55, and I CAN totally relate to the anxiety of turning 30. It was the most traumatic birthday of my life. I might be older than you are, but I feel your pain like it was yesterday.
