Very first vape try was a cig a like and my thought was, this is b/s and no way can someone quite with this...second thought was that if this is a cheap one, then maybe a better one could be stronger. Thank god it sparked my curiousity

I tried a menthol cigalike first, too. It was disgusting! Turns out I don't like to vape tobaccos. At all. After some research I learned a little about flavors. So I tried again with an ego/ce4 combo. Having been a pad menthol smoker I got a plain menthol juice & a plain peppermint, both 24mg. That's the last time I smoked. Several months layer I upgraded to some thing with longer lasting batteries & bigger juice capacity.
I'd suggest a long lasting, self contained batteryn & a tank tjat she won't have yo refill very often. She may chain vape at first so will use more juice, but she doesn't need anything requiring low ohms or high watts, or huge clouds. She's coming off cigs so just enough to provide an equivilant tasty vape. Her vaping style will evolve over a period of months & she might end up dropping smoking & vaping altogether. Or progress on to different devices on her own.

Wow, I actually got it to work. What do I do now?

I actually kept mine in my smoking area in the garage for weeks until I realized that I can walk around with it and vape all day.

Then it took me even longer not to throw it out the car window. Then, even longer to realize that I can actually close the darn window in the rain and cold.

Then, I gots to freak people out by taking a vape and putting it in my pocket.
Lol! I vaped for months in the livingroom sitting right behind my mother & she never noticed at all. I always had a fan next to me anyway & it dispersed the vapor. One day I talked to her about vaping because she was nagging me about smoking. I told her I had not smoked in months & she didn't believe me. Then my sister & nephew talked to her & told her I'd been vaping in the house & they were vaping also. She was fine with it after that.

As a 40 year 3 pad smoker, I was actively trying to cut back. Gum, lozenges, timers, etc. One day an ad popped up on my computer -- can't remember the brand -- and while researching, I ended up here on ECF. That was 5 years ago.

5 days later, I had my first starter kit, a Volt cigalike from SmokelessImage. I was actually pretty amazed when I first tried it. I never thought it would work, just hoped to cut down some. Three days later I had my last cigarette and my wife's first starter kit was on the way.

My first was a Blu, cig-a-like. I remember loving the Johnson Creek flavors. My first thought was "wow, I have to Google this". I wanted to know everything I could and that's how I found ECF and became a vapor addict. every family smoker got e-cigs that Christmas and my sister-in-law is getting a new one this year cause I think she's still using the same one!

What went through your head as you took your first vape? what was your initial reaction.
My first thought was "Oh my goodness, this will work" It was just a tiny 180mAh battery that used atomizers and cartridges. I bought more batteries and spent a ton on prefilled cartridges. Then I found ECF and found out that I could get much better equipment. As has been said "The rest is history" :) That was over 5 years ago and I am still amazed that I no longer smoke. Yay for me and for all of y'all too.

You've come a milestone, I regret starting smoking again!

Mine was a CE4 clearo too, my first reaction was "this could work".
Later that day I was ecstatic and thought "maybe I wont die young after all".
Ive bought many tanks since, but the past months Ive been smoking a few analogs each day too,
along with vaping, but reduced the amount of analogs a lot compared to before I started vaping.
Feeling guilty about the analogs though...

No need to feel guilty man, I'm dual using too & many do before fully quitting :)

Bought a Mig Cig cigalike as my first mod which is still one of my most expensive vape purchases lol. Than did a purchase a couple days later of the Smok Xcube II, Tesla Nano 100W TC, and the Wismec RX200... The Tesla is still alive to this day, with almost all the finish worn off, chugging and chugging along.

You should check out the tesla nano 120 steam punk, I got it recently and it's a damn solid mod. Nice pick with the X cube ultra btw too! I don't have one but I know my friend at the vape shop is very happy with hers :) I actually think it's a more solid mod than the alien!

I have been looking into it, as it looks like a bigger version of the one I have and uses changeable batteries instead of an internal battery. Also loving that on/off switch. I am just on the fence about buying another regulated device but I have the worst case of shinyitis you can imagine so I am sure it will be on my nightstand soon enough.
