This is really easy.

Not spending what seems like half my day outside huddled up in the middle of winter.

For an old guy like me, the time it took to bundle up, have the smoke, then unbundle.......Not only how much time it involved, but I think I wore out the zippers on several coats over the years! Don't you hate it when after going through all that to find out your lighter is out of fluid!

I remember those cold Michigan winters, freezing in the blowing snow as I furiously hit my cigarette in order to minimize my exposure time. Can you say "Hot Box?"

Especially that first one in the morning! Getting out of that warm waterbed, getting dressed and bundled up to have that first thing in the morning smoke.....you know, those mornings it's so cold you can't even take a hot cup of coffee with you to have with your smoke! Ah, yes.....the good old days!

We've covered the health benefits of vaping. We've discussed issues related to the work place. We've talked about vaping etiquette and the relationship between smoking regulations and vaping regulations. In my short time as a vaper non-smoker, there have been a number of realizations of everyday benefits to me from vaping over smoking.

So, I thought I would share my number 1 benefit of vaping in my daily activities and ask others to share theirs. If any of you are like me, there are surely some I just haven't realized as of yet. So mine:

Because I hadn't smoked in the house for the last 20 years, after a meal (particularly supper) I would jump up to head outside for that must have after eating smoke. Being retired, virtually all meals are just my special lady and me, and here I was finishing my meal, jumping up, and "running away". By the time I would return, she would be up and going about her business. Now I can sit back taking my casual puffs and actually hold a conversation with her, both of us relaxed and sharing "quality time" together. Sappy? Probably so! But actually rather nice!

Anybody else care to share their personal little vaping benefit, sappy or not? :pop:

1) the #1 reason I actually got interested in e-cigs in the first place: no more freezing my .... off outside!! I don't have to worry about missing part of the show I'm watching, I don't have to interrupt EVERYTHING just to run outdoors, I can get meals cooked in a much shorter time without all the "smoke breaks", and I don't get subjected to all the smoke and stink when my idiot neighbors decide to start burning down the underbrush.

2) so much less costly that if I really have to, if money's tight, I can get by on as little as $50/mo, instead of nearly $200/mo.

3) new pastime (ECF + all the crap I do in order to vape); new friends (ECF); new knowledge (learned Ohm's law years ago -- who'd have thought I'd ever actually NEED it!)

4) got the high range of my singing voice back, after an absence of +30 yrs;

5) I DON'T REEK LIKE AN ASHTRAY!!! :D

If I had to pick just one...the one that makes me the happiest....

Not tasting like smoke. I hated to taste in my mouth, and I was tired of brushing my teeth 10x per day. I was a smoker when I met my OH, but he lovingly supported my quitting. But I don't blame him for not liking the smoke smell. Vaping interrupts our ...time... much less. And the post-___ cig? I'd rather relax and share a vape. Bliss, right there. Smoke-free!

When I was smoking I would go outside to smoke, and when I would get back inside my two year old son would always run up to me to give me a hug, but would always wrinkle his nose and run away due to the smell. Now I don't have to worry about smelling like an old dirty re-lit analog, and am attacked by the hug monster multiple times a day. :)

Singing voice? Why, its been so long it hasn't even crossed my mind. Then again, it may just be old age!

This is easy, the community of people I have met. I now regularly hang out at the vape shop after work while watching Netflix or gaming with my vaping pals. Building, learning, flavor chaseing and chucking clouds with a great group of guys really makes me happy. One more is the vast array of flavors from cheap to premium I love e juice lol. I basically chain vape with a sub-ohm setup all day and as you know that uses a lot of liquid but even using a crazy amount more now then I used to I still stay cheaper then smokes. It used to be about $400 a month on smokes its $200ish on liquid now. In Canada juice is more and I pay $100 for 240ml. I vape about 15mls a day sometimes a bit more. If I got liquid for the price of the US I would probally double that, just for fun.

Good one! I sure do miss having a daily "hug monster" (love that term!) around!

ROFL... well nobody but my husband ever hears it, as I'm singing along to the radio in the truck -- but it's so NICE to be able to screech along with Robert Plant or Ann Wilson as I haven't been able to do since before I turned TWENTY!
