A flash black of some kind. I was logged out and there were all these advertisements for lava tubes and a bunch of Call to Actions. I actually had to log back in........manually

I'm back and everyone is gone except for Nathanial

Creepy

That's been happening to me all day. :\

I dont get the whole touching it red to death business, after a good rinse or boil and alcohol rinse, I just burn some alcohol off it a couple times (I do use my mini torch but not needed) then I roll it up and burn a couple drops of juice off each end of the wick a couple times wrap pulse and vape On

Yeah.... you actually can do too much with the whole torch it to death.
That's why I said you only need it to glow red all over once or twice.
And, you can do that after it's rolled.

If you torch it too much, it can crumble and break apart.

Hey there. That's for the welcome. If i tilt the juice the top coils still burn hot red but won't catch fire. If i don't tilt it at all it'll catch fire almost instantly. N yah, I have the wick and air hole lined up. I tried the 325 SS mesh and was having the same issue. I actually started with that and I think what I read after that point was that for vg it was recommended to use 400 ss mesh. But I could be wrong by that also. Thanks for your opinion. I'll try the 325. I also have a noble 1 tucked away that's having the same issues so I'll try play around d with the ss mesh on that one)

Mahalos for all your input and knowledge to everyone. I have a few things to look at doing to help. Currently at work so when j get home I'm gonna a drive my gf mad trying to figure some of this out. Haha. I did have one more question I forgot to ask about last night, I was having an issue with my wick breaking apart. It was 400 ss mesh and after it was wrapped and oxidized I used it for a few days and after pulling g the top piece off I seen little black pieces everywhere n noticed that it looked like the kenthal (30 gauge at the time) was burning the mesh. Is that at all normal?
Hawaii, its all in your coil....your getting the dreaded flamethrower leads (literally)... If you wanna shoot me a pm, we can set up a Skype/FaceTime/ whatever kind of video thingy, and i could try to help you through wrapping your first perfect coil
Hi everyone
it's been a while since I've logged on, I've been busy with life and all but I'm still vaping every day. Though I have a few Zenisis to use my daily driver for the past year or so is my pro mini :) love this combo and has for me made everything else I have obsolete.

So no to my Q: anyone know where I can purchase some new quarts tanks today or soon? I see electronix is closed and there's none to be found on house of hybrids. Over the last year or so I've managed to break 6 of them and have cannibalized the other Zens for there's, now I'm down to the last one. Also how do you like the SS tanks? I've never been a fan because I want to know how much joose I have left but might get one for an emergency back up.

Thanks
Electronicstix will be back up and running later this week, and with the SS tanks, you get to "know" your juice level by how high you have to tilt
Thanks for the info. As far as setting up the wick that's the way j have it set up. And as for oxidizing the mesh I've been rolling it then torching it 4 or 5 times til red hot then drenching it with juice n burning the juice off 5times or so. Then installing it.
I think you might be overdoing the oxidizing part a little too, and that will make the wick really brittle....being new to rebuild ambles and gennies, I'd say order some prerolled wicks from ENS so you don't have to worry about that....I'm still using them just cause it really makes it sooo easy....I recommend doing it the way zen recommends till you get it down, then experiment from there....
Take me up on Skype offer, its a lot easier if you can see and ask questions as you get it down

You are over-doing it.
Your wick will get brittle, and crumble.

Honestly, you only need to roll it up, and torch until red. One pass is usually enough, sometimes two.
There is no need for 4 or 5 times, no need to quench with any liquid, no need to burn any liquid off.
Your wick will last much longer that way.

Annie, I have always crimped the top of my wicks flat n even bent over just slightly n my juice is always crystal clear down to the last drop. While that might not be why, I tend to believe it is. My MFA came that way from Mike, I've read to do that to prevent darkening here on this thread n it has worked for me. So, I tend to think that's it. Do you do this w/the wicks where you're having dark juice issues?

I think this photo shows how I do the tops, but on my AGA-T+ that I finally set up (after having it sit, new, for months).

Honestly? The only time I get dark juice is when I have done something wrong....
I have the wire a little too loose or a little too tight.
I can see pinching the end if I have a fatty fat fat wick that's wicking so well I don't need to tip much. LOL
I do tend to flatten the end just a bit, mostly to keep it from touching the pos post while having it as close as possible.

Is there any Zenfidels here that know much about domaining? I own a vape related domain name, and somebody emailed me interested in buying it. Send me off a PM if you'd be willing to give me any advice :)

Hope everyone is doing well! :)

buy low, sell high?
I know there are brokers for that kind of thing, but not sure how to find one.

I roll up, then light it red from top to bottom, then bottom to top, then top to bottom again.. But even that is over doing it at times, I guess. After Mike's workshop though, I learned that I was REALLY over doing it before...

This is great advice.
Especially since a lot of videos on YouTube that teach the process over do it a lot. Juice burns = bad from my experience.

I've had it for a couple of years now. I drop catched it. Domain squatter was sitting on it since 2008 and accidentally let it drop. Same person owns some other vaping related domains. I have been playing with the idea of actually developing a business with the name, but really now, I don't really want to at this time. I also really like the name, and think I could sell it for more than what I've been offered (two offers, two different people in six months).. But it's tempting LOL

OK dumb question time...I'm pretty tired so hope this makes sense. I have some of the Nextel that should arrive Monday..am excited to try..but do any of you ever 'boil' your mesh wicks to clean and reuse them? I'm just wondering if I can still use some of the wicks I've currently got on my mods by cleaning them well and making them skinnier to use in the ceramic?
