Okay, I'm about to make my first fat wick - well, first wick ever for the pchela. Can anybody point me towards a tutorial? I mean, I've found a ton of tutorials but they're all different and I'd like to know what method most of you prefer.

Peach Andy showed me a trick at Vapebash using two wicks that came with our Zens. Unroll one and place the second inside, roll them together in your hands and you have a fat wick. Do you have one of the carto inside tubes to use as an insulator?

I just cut a bigger piece of mesh to start with. Roll it exactly the same otherwise. I don't get fancy and measure or anything crazy like that...
Roll, test fit, roll a little more, repeat until the wick fits in the hole. (muahahahaha)
I like a channel in mine, so sometimes roll around a small paperclip. If it won't roll tight enough to fit, just trim some mesh.
Hahaha - I'd do it the same only bigger but I've never even rolled a regular wick. This will be my first time ever!
That was my next question - does the pchela need an insulator? If it does, I do have some boge's somewhere though I'll have to figure out which insides you're referring to.

Not sure why you would consider it fancy or crazy. It is actually a time saver and takes seconds to put dots on a sheet of mesh for a template for your future wicks and most would find it less time consuming than your "Roll, test fit, roll a little more, repeat until the wick fits in the hole." method. there is no skill in guessing.
I find it also prevents a bit of waste.
Hiya Andy - I was just browsing your YouTube channel and wanted to say that your huskies are gorgeous! I had to watch their "serenade" video a second time because it made me smile so much.
i never measure my mesh, just roll it up and if its too thick cut some off, too many different attys to remember measurements, but the batteries i test every now and then for safety;s sake when they come off/go on the charger
