Good evening everyone....it's been a long but very wonderful weekend. I think the pipes look awesome..just not for me. I've got to revisit the new sidewinder options coming up...I love my SW and might have to pick up another one. It would be a nice option if we could just purchase new 'shells' and be able to change them out...doesn't that sound good:laugh:

Oh, that. What you do is attach the wire to the top post, with the coil installed. Hold the button and hold the wire. It's kind of a race. It's really tingly, and then it get really hot, and you have to wrap the coil without letting go.

You should hole the end of the wick with something metal like forceps so you don't burn your fingers.

By my count you would need 3 hands

So I went to tractor supply today (forgot needles but thats a whole other story). There was like no one working there that was not cashing out the lines that were 20 people long not even at the service desk! SO I took it upon myself to take the two foot long bolt cutter looking things and cut myself a couple lengths of steel cable (one in 1/16 and one in 3/32). My daughter fled the aisle fearing I would lop off something that was NOT ss cable (even the lady shopping next to me called her a chicken). The 3/32 might have been a bit much because it did not fit the AGA hole but the 1/16 does. The only bad thing about the latest in my saga of usually stupid things I do is that a 4 wrap on this and not on one of my usual fat wicks clocks in at 1.2 so I had to crank the voltage down to 3.5 (the sissy thing).

hehe I remember those days... it kills my dad when I haul in fish after fish when we go out now, when he hauls in one or 2 lol. he's a live bait or spinners user, and I bring out one o' my old flyrods ;) there's nothing like scooping water with a net, uncovering rocks and what not to figure out what the trout are biting on, when there's no hatch at the time... when I don't have the right fly, I'll tie one right at the stream. for me it's like bowhunting, it's the 'chase', the challenge.. stalking and bagging the quarry, only keeping what I will consume, and throw everything else back. any other time, I'll bring a lawn chair with some bait, cast out a couple of lines and kick back for those lazy days, not worrying one whit if I catch a single thing. it's all about getting out away from ALL public and the masses, enjoying the scenery, weather and nature, just relaxing in the outdoors...

Fabulous fishing memories. this picture taken in 1958 me on the left, my brother Ben holding his catch and my Grandfather in the back
