evening. i'm not cut up but.... Kraksx.IF you can do a search for how to fill a jonboy lavatank, it's gonna give you the same info. I know there is a video out there made by strprswpr
Anyone have a video of how to fill the z2 carto tank hybrid?
I have a understanding of it, but these days, videos are great
:)

how can i tell if it is filled the whole way?i mean there was juice on the top of the filling in the when i closed it up...

Aaron, take the condom off the bottom of the carto. fill it 2/3 full and slowly dunk the carto into it. you usually use two holes in the lavatank as well. you want the filling to be slushy. fill the tank 2/3 to 3/4 was full. put the cap on half way and turn it upside down. then push up until the rest of the cap settles into place. that creates suction

yaaaaa, no. I think you are wrong on the switch resistance. Most likely you are also measuring the lead resistance when measuring the switch. Since you are dealing with such small ohms you need to remove the resistance of your leads. I pulled out my old fluke 8060A (still a fine meter) and removed the lead resistance. My Z2 switch and my Ash switch are both very close. The resistance is .04 ohms. Then I compared to a newer meter (about a month old) but which has a little less accuracy (doesn't go to hundredths of a reading, only tenths) and I get .1 ohm. The new meter simply lacks the ability to read down to the hundredths of an ohm so it rounds up. Now I didn't bother to take the switches apart to make certain that each switch has the amperage limiting spring it them but most likely they both do.

My own humble (not very scientific testing) and electronics training tells me that any teeny, tiny difference in the switch, contacts and etc is most likely FAR offset by the difference in the coils you wind. Moral of the story is, pay attention to the coil you wrap or the ohms of the carto you use..

Just my opinion :)

soooo i am rocking 65/35 mix and havent had any dry hits.

Also wanted to throw this in here to see if my measuring is correct...

so there is a bit of battery rattle even on the 18650 aw imr button top

loaded up the cartotank... includes 1 carto which i believe is boge. measured resistance at the connector to be 2.0 ohms with the carto loaded.

there are 4 air holes along the side of the cartotank so there is no chance of leakage to battery...

the draw is cool and airy but flavor is good. vapor seems to be lacking a bit. battery voltage currently is 4.1 volts... so the wattage is 8.4 so it could be the way the design of the cartotank is...

the button itself has a resistance of .4 ohms

so if you add the resistance of the carto + button which is 2.4 total the total power output is 7.0 which is how it does feel...

Note this is me using a sperry dm-6400 multimeter and i am curious what you guys are seeing.

if i am not doing my calculations correctly please let me know.

Also since this is my first mechanical, what is an acceptable ammount of resistance from a switch/button. Thanks

Just got my 350c Carto Hybrid from ENS...neat little device but the switch throw is pretty significant.

Also the battery doesn't make contact unless I unscrew the phillips screw on the switch. (I guess normally you'd put spacers there, but ENS didn't send any additional spacers with my package)

Any advice?

Well until I can get some additional spacers I threw a small magnet (the round ones I use for iHybrid switches) on the bottom of my 18350 battery. This won't hurt anything, will it?

I can see this thing being a great travel buddy. I fly a lot and rebuildables are a pain. I got searched by TSA once with a couple of my hybrids and I never flew with them again.
