I've have been ordering my 510 attys from TW they seem to be the most consistent, but you never know every now and then I find a goofy looking atty but its rare. I think its funny that we all are always spending our time trying to find the perfect cart mod, its like an endless search for the Fountain of Youth, but hey it comes with every package;) We are fixing problems that we shouldn't have to deal with and its all because of the lazy ...... manufactures, they just don't care, but at the same time we are the leading innovators in c-cigs/PV, its kind of cool, its like we are the pinnacle of electronic cigarette designing, making it a hobby for us........if that makes sense? Anyways my search is over it only took 3 months of my life away:-x
I have 5 Tornado batteries from TW and a bunch of other e-cigs joye 510's:thumb: and mabye like 60 good attys of all different types blablabla but this mod just kicks all other e-cigs butts.

OK this is exactly what i have created I call it the "Hurricane"because its bigger than the regular Tornado E-NI it's 6" long which i like cause you dont have to put the atty as close to your face which can get burning hot if you chain vape with this:D, well here's the ingredients to one hell of a VP...

Using the Tornado E-NI with a 1" adapter screwed on to the battery, plus a protective platinum cone screwed on making the battery connection flush with the tip of the adapter this battery is packing 650 mah:D It resembles the size of a cigar then all you do is screw on a 510 titan mega atomizer now your almost done, then comes the cart the problem that we all have been trying to solve... Now I dont know why this works so well for me but I will try and tell you all the details so it may fix your any problems you have.
Next step is to go buy 7 trillion H-cut plugs from Scotty!!! ok well your only going to need one for the cart(You can try making your own plugs but most likely you'll be wasting you time I don't know anyone who can make ten identical plugs), now this is where people may have been having alot of problems such as leakage and inconsistent hits... take the 510 mega cart which holds about a ml of juice. now cut a straw 27mm in length(It can vary but make sure the plug is at least 1mm from the top of the cart or it will flood) 1/4 width this seems to be the perfect length make 2 v cuts on the bottom of the straw so the juice will have more room to flow around. now put the straw into the cart now this is the most important part!!!
Make sure the top of the straw is cut evenly so that the plug sits down in the cart flat and level if your straw is cut at an angle it will leak! Lastly if you order Scotty's yellow plugs you will notice that one side is shiny and one side is dull, now I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not but it could solve your leakage problem, I dont know why this works so well it just does:confused: but always put the shiny side down this works for me about 95% of the time. Now make sure the plug fits snug in the cart and that it lies flat on the straw that supports it. Also the thickness of your juice makes a big difference I have found the thicker the better I cut my e-juice with Aqueous Glycerine!!! It works great:thumbs:

If your having leaking problems try holding you e-cigs more upright/level, once you find the perfect straw height this shouldn't be much of an issue...
That's about it now take your mega cart insert it properly on to the mega 510 atty and vape away:D

Hey Scotty is it possible to send or make us plugs that don't have holes or H-cuts in them. Kind of like a customizable plug that's shaped to fit in the cart already and has no holes/cuts allowing us to play around with them and cut a different variety of holes/cuts? which may possibly lead us to dicover the perfect shape that performs even better!!!:D
just wondering....

So... if my plug is bending downward in the middle does that mean my straw is too long? I only bought the plugs and I can't seem to get it right. Geez, I feel like an idiot... it doesn't take a PhD in engineering to cut a straw!!

8-oMost likely, or the atomizer is not penetrating the plug and it is just pushing down on it, causing the plug to bend. what type of plug is it, H-cut or small/large hole? Also what is the width of your straw? what type of cart is it? ...make sure you cut the top of the straw evenly so that the plug is supported on the straw and put the shiny side of the plug down...

I have the yellow "H" cut and I don't notice a difference between the sides - neither is shiny. I use SLB 510 attys and the straws are the bendable ones from Target.

If you look very closely you should notice that one side has a shine to it or kind of glossy/ smooth look the other being dull:confused: it seems to open the doors easier that way. another way to tell is that the glossy side of the plug sort of sticks to your hand and the dull side sildes if you rub it between you fingers... are your straws 1/4" in width?

Yea, you made it to 15 posts!!!

I had to get out my magnifying glass :p, but now I can see that one side is a bit shiny. It seems to have a very slight bevel to it so maybe that's why it works better with that side down.

Yes, my straw is 1/4". I have the plug flush with the top of the cart... could that be my problem? How far below the top edge should it be?

I'm not usually this stupid and I thank everyone for having the patience to listen to my nonsense.

if its flush with the rim of the cart its to high lower it down about a mm at a time... mine are about 1-2 mm below the rim..

Yes I believe thats why they work better that way they seem to stay in place better because of the slight bevel. As far as how deep the plug should be I cut my straws so that they are about 3mm's below the rim of the cart giving kind of about 3 times the thickness of the plug, the edges of the plug should not be coming out of the cart or it will leak. I usually start out with the plug about its same thickness below the top edge then if you have problems go down from there about 1mm at a time... but mine work great when the plug is just below the rim of the cart.

Ok, Great Granny here, I must be some kind of stupid. I have read through the entire thread and I'm missing something here. I ordered the kit from Scottie, H plugs, Large holes, small holes, caps, straws, and carts. But my question is, how does this all go together?

In the very first posting they talked about the plug, straw and H slit on cap. What all is needed? Since I bought the kit I was hoping at least one would be assembled so I can visualy see it, my order has shipped but has not arrived as of yet.

I have the 510, regular atty, not a knock off. Looking forward to something simple. Have smoked for 53 years at a pack and a half a day, today is day 18 of no analogs, but the hassle of filler's, PTB, fluval, blue foam and the likes is a pain.

Thanks for any input you can offer. I just need to know how many pieces it takes to put it all together. Why H, Large hole, Small hole? Does the cap have a slit in it??

TIA

If you orderd the carts all 5 carts will be assembled with H cuts all you need to do is take of the cap, pop the plug out, fill with juice, replace plug and your ready to go.. makes sure the cart is lined up with the atty" ceramic bowl.

Also... thicker juice may work better with a bigger hole, while thinner juice needs the smaller hole to avoid leaking all over the place.

There's just 2 pieces, the straw and the plug, that go in the cart.

The straw is there only to hold the plug up in place at the top.

1. Insert straw (remove filler if there is any)
2. Fill with juice (leave room for the plug)
3. Place the plug on top.
4. Insert cart into atomizer.
5. Vape.

6. Refill either by removing plug, filling, and replacing plug, or inject with syringe.

The different hole sizes are so you can choose which one you prefer. If the hole is too big or too small, you might get some leakage, making a mess like I did cutting my own, juice running down my hand, haha. But like everything in ecigs it seems some folks say it works better this way, while others like it that way.

If the hole is too small, the atomizer might push it in, bending it down, which can cause leakage around the outside of the plug. I've seen some atomizers that lean a bit, which may make the plug impossible to work right, or it may require a bigger hole on that one. In any case, a bigger hole will give the atomizer more room.

Also, you can 'drip' .. just 3 drops on right on the atomizer, nothing at all is needed in the cart. It's easier than filler, but only lasts for 3 drops.
