My translucent white silicone plugs are slowly turning to a strange pink color...same shade as my strawberry cheesecake ejuice.
I am worried about this coloring entering my lungs. is this the right place to post my concerns?
Is there any reason I could not spread ~.050" of high temp RTV in a container, place the tip in it and let it cure? This would give a solid plug that is adhered from the tip. You could then cut an opening for the atty.
I figure this way there would be no trial and error with the length of the straw, you would just have to regulate the size if the size of the opening you cut for the atty. Fills would have to be done with a needle tip or syringe.
Does anyone know how hot an atty gets? You can find RTV that will withstand 650F intermittent heat.
Am I way off base with this line of thinking?
this ZFM works great on 1 atty, but won't work on the other. i think it's a wick problem because on the atty with almost no wick visible, this mod doesn't work.
question: when I lay my PV down, a lot of juice leaks, such that every time I pick it up after a few hours of not using (or overnight) I have a wet patch on my table from the juice. Even if I have just the cart inserted into the atty and left on the side for a few hours, it leaks.
how can I prevent this from happening?
good time 2 start vaping...this is my first cart mod and i love it ! been vaping 2 weeks
thanks scotty !!!
Scotty.......
Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the thread (but the site link isn't self explanatory). What is included in the purchase ??
cart, straw, plug ?
just plug ?
just cart & plug ?
My apologies if it sounds like I'm an idiot, lol... I even gave it an extra day to try and figure it out...... haha
VapeOn,
Greg
If the straw is too long it will warp the sides of the plug inward towards the bridge leaving to big holes on the sides and one in the middle... if the straw is to short the bridge will not block the hole in the middle allowing the juice to flow out... just keep playing with the straw hight when you get it right keep the straw for refrence..![]()
very good to know this, thanks.
another problem I had is on one atty, it works perfectly. on the 2nd atty, it gives a burnt taste every couple of drags. I tried changing straws, and I even cut a bigger hole. nothing seemed to work. any idea?
That would be the poor QC from the makers of our attys
Ive seen some attys have a bend to the left.. to the right... rounded bridge... pointed bridge.. some have more fiberglass wicking material then others..
However trust me on this you cut a big enough hole it will get that atty wet.. you would be surpised how big of a hole you can get away with... I have one now thats starting to resemble a O ring more then a plug lol...
Hmmmmm... O rings.... Next new mod??![]()

look at the plugs that I'm making all the way to the right in the picture.. I call that one the chain vapor cause its staying wet even thew chain vaping hit after hit ... you also need a more stretch material like the molding putty its allot more flexible and allows the bridge access to the reservoir.
OMG those are HUGE holes you made! they don't leak? even when you place them down for a few hours on a flat table?
If my burnt taste is indeed caused by lousy wicking (I dont see much wick under the bridge) will this bigger hole help?
im wondering what the mesh bridge is for in the first place. Why not just have a wick, or a bridge? why have both?
