► Innokin Klypse Zip; First Impressions:
Basically compared to the original Klypse, the new Klypse Zip device takes on a "zip" shape (as the name indicates). The substantial difference, in addition to the appearance, is that of having a hygienic cap with a snap-in connection and no longer held by magnets. On the original Klypse it was handy to be able to attach the hood to the base while using the device. I wondered why the classic Zip opening with a zipper was not used, but we will see together how Innokin designed this solution.
For this test I received the "mint" color version of klypse Zip, the device has a lightweight plastic body with a low and ultra-flat size. In the lower part, the chosen color is green with vertical white identification writing. At the top, the hygienic cap is glossy black, and as I said earlier and with a bit of disappointment, the hooking system is not hinged. However if you want to wear the Klypse around your neck; once the cap has been removed you can take a lanyard, pass it through the hole in the cap and hook it directly to the handle that is present at the top near the cartridge.
The USB charging port is located at the bottom as is the battery level indicator. Klypse Zip features auto-firing only, has no airflow adjustment and no activation button. The internal 650mAh battery is fully rechargeable in one hour, the light stays green until the battery drops below 30%, the light turns yellow at 30%, and turns red when the battery reaches 10% level of charge.
On the bottom of the compartment there is of course the automatic puff sensor, furthermore the Pod compartment contains two spring-loaded gold-plated contacts that transfer energy to the coil, the coil is not replaceable. The cartridge is held in the mod by two magnets in a solid way. The airflow is regulated and directed towards the coil by a small hole (MTL) present on the upper part of the Klypse Zip.
► Innokin Klypse Zip; Refillable & Pre-filled Pods:
It seems quite interesting to me that the Innokin Klypse Zip can be used both with empty cartridges and with pre-loaded cartridges, in this way the user is offered the possibility to customize his vape experience with maximum versatility.
► Innokin Klypse Zip; Refillable Pods:
A cartridge with integrated 1.2Ω coil is supplied with the kit, filling takes place through a side port equipped with a blue silicone cap, filling is easy, and the capacity of the cartridge is about 2ml. The bottom of the cartridge has two magnets that mirror those in the compartment/pod and has two holes for the airflow to enter.
► Innokin Klypse Zip; Pre-filled Pods:
Innokin sent me for this test two "Peach Ice" flavor cartridges preloaded with 20 mg/ml of nic. Preloaded cartridges can be purchased separately in packs of two at a time. This type of disposable cartridges contain a 1.7Ω KA coil. The pre-filled cartridges are available in 16 different flavors and with 2 different nicotine strengths of 20mg/ml and 0mg/ml.
► Innokin Klypse Zip; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
To test the refillable type cartridge I used one of my favorite creamy liquids; "Boss Reserve" with 50/50 base and 4mg/ml boost. The power is constant until the end of the battery charge and the integrated Mesh coil provides a good flavor to my creamy e-liquid. The klypse Zip shot is only automatic, the sensor is activated perfectly and effortlessly offering a perfectly calibrated MTL vape. After a few days of use, the Puff is always fluid, regular, and free of spitting. The condensation that forms in the compartment / pod is very minimal, almost non-existent, reducing maintenance to a minimum.
• Peach Ice Prefilled pods:
This cartridge with 20mg/ml of nic salts is ideal for all vapers who want to break away from smoking easily and without complications, thanks to its extreme simplicity of use. During this short test I was able to appreciate how good the peach is and faithful to the original flavor, the frozen part is very refreshing without being too intrusive. I haven't been able to try the other 15 flavors available, but I can imagine that they will be just as good and tasty, perfectly managed by a smooth and smooth MTL hit that allows you to appreciate all the fruit notes and produce fresh and voluminous clouds of vapor. The 1.7Ω KA coil has low energy consumption, is excellent for MTL and the 2ml cartridge seems really able to give the 600 puffs promised by Innokin.
Everything you can expect from an entry level kit like this you can be sure will be fulfilled, any beginner will be able to use Klypse Zip profitably.
