As the latest lemonade flavour from the producer was particularly good, I thought I'd try another flavour from the repertoire. Not only is the name "bloody" but the colour is too, as the flavour has a bright red hue. Red berry fruits, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blackcurrants, and an icy breeze to freeze the fruit. The nose is very pleasant, a mix of all kinds of fruit that is tart and sweet at the same time. It smells terribly delicious. The flavours are very intense, with lots of berry fruits, raspberries and perhaps currants being the most recognisable. A little sweet, a little tart, it really does feel like I'm smoking a berry syrup. The cooling is also very hit and miss, it's got a nice chill to it, but I really need it for this flavour. It just explodes in your mouth with this juicy fruit combination, with all the fruits harmonising almost perfectly. I couldn't get into it if I wanted to, because anyone who loves cold fruit soups will definitely love it. Anyone who has tried Revolute Maw Oui will also find a favourite in this flavour, as there is a great similarity between the two. Thanks for deciding to join me again for another one of my reviews. Today I will be taking a look at the Dovpo Vimizi Pod Kit that was sent to me by Dovpo in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. I have seen some pictures online of the Vimizi but didn’t know much about it before receiving it for review. The Vimizi has an 800mah internal battery with Type-C fast charging to get you back up and going again quickly. It also has adjustable airflow but no display screen on this one. Instead it uses an LED light to indicate battery level. It comes with a 3ml cartridge that contains a .8 ohm coil inside that is not replaceable so the whole pod must be changed. It only comes with one pod which is always a con in my book. I would guess that they are trying to go after the market where someone is taking a step up from disposables and are trying to keep the cost down. The side panels are changeable so you can switch between different designs to customize it to your liking. I know you’re probably thinking it’s just another square pod and it might be but let’s take a look at some promotional information and I’ll give my thoughts on it.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The Vimizi comes with a clear viewing window in the top of the box so you can immediately see the design/version that you received without even removing the outer wrapper from the box. As you can see, I received the Geisha version for my review. I was kind of hoping to get the Samurai version but don’t get to pick colors or versions on review samples. The Geisha however is also a really nice design. The back side of the box gives a fair amount of information including the contents list, a warning, company information, an authenticity code, and the Dovpo website. The box itself is sturdy and well made.

Once the top is removed, you can get a better look at the Vimizi and check the contents which include the device, one pod, a lanyard, QC certificate, and a user manual. It seems to me that Dovpo is trying to target those people that are looking to make the switch from disposables to refillable devices. At least that is what I have gathered from some of the promotional information and the fact that it comes with only one pod. I personally don’t use lanyards and would have rather had two pods instead of a lanyard included in the kit. There is an optional .6 ohm replacement pod available so it would have been nice to have one of each in the kit. However, Dovpo was very generous and sent to me an extra box of each resistance of pod with the sample so I was able to test both types. The replacement pods come in packages of two and are individually wrapped inside the box instead of the usual foil pack type packaging that is very common.

As I mentioned earlier, I received the Geisha version but one thing that I liked about this pod is that the side panels are removable and you can flip them over to use the black side or Geisha side on each of the sides of the device. Also you could mix and match panels if you have more than one of the Vimizi kits. What I did while testing the Vimizi is that I flipped both panels over to the plain black side for carrying in my pocket at work so as not to damage the Geisha designs. They seem durable but didn’t want to take a chance of scratching them up. Both panels are held on with very strong magnets and take a bit of effort to lift off so you won’t have to worry about them coming off accidentally. There is a small cut out on each side of the device that will allow you to get a fingernail or even a knife tip underneath to lift the bottom edge of the panel up in order to remove it. Like I said, they are on very good so it has taken me a few tries with a fingernail to get them removed.

The USB-C charging port is located on the bottom of the device. The Vimizi is a little wider than some other square shaped pods I’ve tried but still fits on a pants pocket well enough. The Dovpo name and logo are also stamped into the bottom plate.

There is a sliding airflow control on the Vimizi. It is stiff enough to not move accidentally in a pocket but still easily adjustable. Even with the airflow control completely closed there is enough airflow to get a tight MTL vape. With it wide open it’s a pretty loose MTL and even though I prefer loose MTL, on this one I found myself running it with the control partially closed. The Vimizi is auto draw only and there is not a fire button.

There is a battery indicator light on the opposite end from the airflow control. When charging the light will stay illuminated until the battery is fully charged and will then shut off. In use the battery indications are as follows.

• Green = greater than 3.85V
• Yellow = between 3.85V and 3.65V
• Red = Less than 3.65V

You can see in the second picture below that there is a hole in that side near the top. This is where the lanyard is connected if that is something that you like to use.

The pod opening located on the top of the device has the standard two plated and spring loaded contacts that make the electrical contact with the bottom of the pod. Also on this one the airflow sensor is a brass color where I’m used to seeing plastic on most pods. There are three holes to the left that allow the airflow intake from the sliding adjuster on that side. The pod is held in by two magnets and is pretty secure but there is some back and forth wobble on the pod when inserted on the sample I received. I like how the Vimizi name is stamped into the top plate.

The Vimizi pod cartridges are 3ml in capacity which is a very nice upgrade compared to about 90% of the pods I’ve tested having a 2ml capacity. When you first receive the Vimizi kit there is a sticker covering the bottom of the pod so you don’t fire it before filling the pod. This way you have to remove the pod before firing and hopefully know what to do. If not then the user manual shows how to fill the pod. The Vimizi pod is a side fill pod. There is a rubber plug with the word OPEN and an arrow pointing to the side that you need to lift the plug from. I like how on this one the plug is easily rotated to move it out of the way while filling. This is a simple but great feature on a pod device. I hate having to hold the plug out of the way when filling and getting liquid on my hands. It’s not a big deal on the very first fill but on consecutive fills then it can be messy if the plug doesn’t rotate.

The pods are somewhat tinted but are still clear enough to see the liquid level inside. The Dovpo name and the coil resistance is clearly printed in white on one side of the pod. This is nice and makes it very easy to see which pod you are using if you happen to also have some of the .6 ohm pods like I do. The nice sized fill port is on the opposite side. I like how you can see the coil and the cotton through the opening in the coil. The mouthpiece on these pods is what I would call a duck bill type. It’s a little wide but comfortable to use. I have found when filling it worked well for me to hold the pod at about a 45 degree angle and watch the liquid level while filling. Only stopping the fill when the liquid level is just below the fill port opening.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

In a world filled with pod devices, it’s getting harder and harder to stand out when putting a new pod device on the market. I feel like Dovpo tries hard to bring something new or different in their designs. There are the different designs that you can choose from when ordering the Vimizi kit but also the side panels are interchangeable so you can mix and match them. Also you can do as I did and flip the panels over and have an all-black device.

Any more, adjustable airflow is a requirement for me if I’m even going to consider using a pod device and the Vimizi has it. No, it doesn’t have adjustable output and instead fires a consistent output of 3.55V whether you use the included .8 ohm pod or the optional .6 ohm pod. To me the Vimizi is a solid pod device and does exactly what it is supposed to for the market it is intended for. It is simple to operate and puts out very good flavor.

I almost forgot to mention it but besides the several standard safety features built into the Vimizi. It also has a child proof feature where if you plug and unplug the charging cord five times in ten seconds then it disables the device from firing. To re-activate it then you must do the same thing. When you do this the indicator light will flash yellow five times. I honestly don’t ever see myself using this feature but I don’t have children at home any more.

Since I had a couple extra of each pod sent to me, I decided to try some different mixes. I DIY all my own liquids and use the same ones a lot for reviews. I started out with a NET tobacco and cookie recipe that I like in the included .8 ohm pod. The flavor was very good and stood out with the airflow maybe ¼ open. Next up I tried one of the .6 ohm pods with a green tea and guava recipe. The guava came through very well with the tea in the background and the airflow about ½ open. After that I decided to try a chocolate peanut butter cookie in another .8 ohm pod and the flavor was very good especially for a pod device. I honestly didn’t notice that much of a difference between the .6 and .8 pods. Both are good performers in my opinion.

I looked and didn’t see anywhere that the charging rate for the 800mah battery was listed at first but did find finally somewhere where it said that it was .65A/5V. In the literature it states “quick charging”. I really feel like quick charging for this one should have been 1A/5V so that it could be fully charged in less than an hour. Not a deal breaker and maybe I have a different idea of what quick charging means.

Overall, I really enjoyed testing the Dovpo Vimizi pod kit. If I was going to change anything then it would be first to include a second pod at .6 ohms so the user could decide which to reorder. Second, the pod fits in the opening a little loosely and feel like the tolerance could be a little better but not a big deal and the pod never comes out accidentally since the magnets are plenty strong. Just something I noticed.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit MTL RTA; First Impressions:
Hellvape after having made its debut in the field of regenerable Mtl Tanks first with MD RTA MTL and subsequently with Vertex RTA MTL decides to present the third evolution of this vaporizer. This time Hellvape chooses a name really full of meaning by bringing up the "dead rabbit". A truly important name that brings to mind the legendary Hellvape RDAs which over the years have garnered positive acclaim and incredible sales successes all over the globe. Hellvape sent me two different Gold & SS color variants for this test.



As always when I receive a vaporizer with a diameter of no more than 23mm my first thought is to install it on one of my old Pico Mods, I think it's a form of fetish that accompanies me and that I have to satisfy, but I really find this combination irresistible.



The particularly rich package of DR Mtl includes two different bells and two different drip Tips. This allows you to fine-tune the length of this vaporizer to suit your needs. You can easily combine DR Mtl with any SBS Mod, whether it has a low or high thread plane.



One of the characteristics of DR Mtl Tank is to have a protruding profile with respect to the glass, this allows to reduce the possibility of breaking the glass in case of accidental falls.



When I get a new vaporizer I take it apart and wash it with warm water and mild soap. DR pulls apart and reassembles very easily and effortlessly due to precise machining tolerances with smooth, free-flowing threads.



I absolutely have to underline how much I liked the two supplied drip tips, the longer one has a surface finish reminiscent of precious stones while the other is simply black made of delrin, both have the best (for me) shape and what a better fits the lips. DR's Top Cap has knurling to make it easier to remove and install. This top cap does not have the classic 1/4 turn opening but must be completely unscrewed and screwed back on, this would suggest a less comfortable solution, however the smoothness of the thread is a significant plus and makes this operation really easy. The liquid filler slots are a good size, so you can fill your 2ml or 4ml tanks quickly.



Hellvape spared no expense in the creation of DR Mtl, he could have made a single bell and inserted an "extender" tube to lengthen or shorten the tank. Instead Hellvape has included a short bell (2ml) and a long bell (4ml) in the package, this is a less economical but technically better solution than a solution with "extender tube".



Both bells have an internal diameter of 14mm with a depth of approximately 10mm. The conformation of the dome has a rather accentuated conicity and the chimney has an internal diameter of 4mm.



In the pictures below you can see the Deck with the two wells for cotton, each well has 4 feed holes. According to Hellvape, with this system defined as a "honeycomb" it is possible to prevent leaks and flooding.





The airflow control ring has end stops in both directions and features four different sized airflow holes; 0.8, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.6mm. Each hole is individually selectable. The good braking that counteracts the rotation of the ring allows you to select the airflow hole precisely and stably.





The deck on the bottom houses an adjustable and slightly protruding gold-plated pin. The regenerable part has good sized Phillips screws and the double side bulkheads allow you to fix the coil in a simple way, cutting the excess legs is really easy. The supplied cotton lace is long enough to obtain at least three usable wicks. After inserting the cotton into the coil and cutting the ends in line with the outer edge of the deck, it is sufficient to insert the cotton into the wells without applying too much pressure.



► Hellvape Dead Rabbit MTL RTA; Final conclusions:
I always gladly receive items from Hellvape, a large Chinese company that has deservedly built its fortune with the epic Dead Rabbit RDA series. Over the years Hellvape has been able to evolve by adapting to the various needs of the market, achieving important successes also with other types of vaporizers and with some qualitatively very valid Mods. I usually use wide airflow vaporizers for RDL/DL, however the Dead Rabbit MTL RTA works damn well, to such an extent that I was able to appreciate it even with the narrowest airflow setting available (0.8mm hole). . I wouldn't have thought of that before trying it. I was amazed by how fluid and clean the extraction is without any spitting phenomenon even when the airflow knob is closed completely. Usually with the other MTL RTAs with restricted airflows I encounter big problems and I'm forced to open the ring to avoid the spitting effect. With Dead Rabbit MTL RTA it's a whole other story, I'm even having fun rediscovering the MTL vape! The flavor and vapor production are excellent. I didn't notice any major differences between the 2ml and 4ml configurations, perhaps a slightly less concentrated flavor and fresher vapor with the 4ml version. With the 1.6 hole selected (the largest) I encountered some noise but it is totally bearable and disappears when selecting the other holes. If you have a small amount to invest, surely DR Mtl Rta will pay you back abundantly.

Ive been using couple mechs for about a month now or so its nice i like it,
But ive noticed that regulated mods are way more powerful probably because it has more volts?
Anyway i think imma take my atties off and batteries out and put them on display and just go back to regulated only,
sure i might play with my mechs in the future for fun but as a all day daily vape?
Nah...
Regulated just performs better and also keeps the vape the same till the battery runs out but thats understandable,
Its also alot safer for me too,
Mechs are nice for a vapacolypse tho so i am happy i bought them still and i will play with them but technology improved so much they are no longer
King of clouds imo...

What you guys think?
Any of you in same position?
If i compare them it deffently beats it performance wise i know i could build lower for bigger clouds but then again the vape drops as you go is not not avoidable..
Anyway i still like and love them dont get me wrong but as an ADV it doesnt perform as well which i knew ahead of time but wanted to see it for my self.

But for now back to VW VV mods
My mechs will be for playing around/hobbyist, since i got 4 mechs i wont be buying more i think its plenty for that

Oh yea one of my mechs came out of the box with a sticky fire button too it hangs but since exchanging it is to late and i got 3 more of the same mod ill just use a fire switch from another mod i guess so the tube is still usable lol but i noticed quality control isnt as good as regulated mods too for some reason
