Anyone know of a good place to get the Melo for a decent price? So far I found it on cvapor for $22.49 shipped but with Chinese new year coming up I guess I'll have to wait unless somewhere in the US sells it for the about the same(every US vendor I've seen was out of stock)... If not how long should I wait to place an order? Also where can I find replacement heads for it?

I really like my GS-airs. And, the price from evape.us can't be beat. They were shipped quickly too. I also ordered 2 packs of the coils just to make sure I didn't run out.

That really is a good price, and the coils are much cheaper than others too.

I'm going to order a few of them for the iSticks.

Has anyone had an issue with the 20w version not taking a charge ?, its been running fine for a few months aside from the threads wearing down and yesterday it stopped taking a charge.............

Thanks for the replies guys , yeah I tried it with multiple chargers to no avail.......bought off ebay months ago ,served me well up till now, knew when I bought it that it was disposable................

Before you toss that puppy into the trash...... I have a bit of news.

I do hope if anyone else encounters this issue, you'll heed alden's sage advice. Swap your USB cables with a couple/few others. Check your wall wort to ensure it's working properly.

If it's still a no-go, it just might have the same issue as mine. Here is the report, paraphrased:

The 'Stick was opened following a YouTube video, and it was fairly simple. The tabs that hold the USB charger were pushed back. The fix was to put the the USB part back in place and fold the tabs back. It worked. The repair 'should have" included some epoxy, but did not. The tabs are very small and weak. No soldering or anything else was needed.

Wow Kat you are my idea of a fantasy vape-girl. No fear, rip the cloths off that iStick and fix it. :)

Good stuff, Kat. After losing the USB port on my first iStick, I reinforced the ports on my second 20W and 30W with dabs of epoxy. A bit of hot glue would also work. I believe the USB port to be the biggest Achilles Heel on the 30W. Every other problem from the 20W seems to have been addressed. That being said, few people have posted complaints here about charging issues. So being gentle with the USB port is probably sufficient.

I think the next wave of mods that come to market need to be focused on ergonomics, style, and durability - not Wattage Wars.

Wow. I couldn't agree more. Of course, this all depends upon us. If we support the former with our vaping dollars, then more companies will follow suit. Take a look at what the 20W iStick started. If, however, we jump on the 100W+ mods, that's what we will see more of. Capitalism, pure and simple.

With the advent of all the new sub-ohm clearomizers, 50W will be the 15W of a year ago; the new de facto standard. What these new attys do is allow those with no interest in rebuilding the opportunity to experience, at 20-40W, what builders were experiencing in their RTAs, at 10-15W, a year ago.

This is no small thing. A far majority of vapers have no interest in rebuilding. But they want the RTA experience. The SubTanks, Atlantic, Melo, Delta II, etc all make that a reality. These new clearos also allow those whose lives/situations get in the way of rebuilding the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional vape. This is revolutionary, folks; a hassle-free, exceptional vape. The only cost to us is new mods, new attys, more e-liquid, replaceable heads and battery life. 4400mAh+ setups will be almost a necessity or we carry 2 or 3 spare 18650s around with us throughout the day.

I predict that we will see more, smaller mods designed with LiPo batteries as 2015 progresses. With YiHi's new USB balanced charging board now on the market, I also predict more 7.4V, dual-series (2S) mods coming to market without the concerns of the "stacking effect".

It's definitely an interesting time to be a vaper. It's also a very bad time to be afflicted with shinyitis.

I want a design that doesn't use a wick, it just shoots a programmable adjustable shot of juice ( 1-5 drops) in a preset temperature adjustable heat chamber that instantly vaporizes the liquid and auto reloads for the next shot. Adjustable from semi to full automatic with optional forced air output. Capable of delivering up to 10 hps (hits per second) with a pressure relief valve to prevent blowin a lung. :)

Edit: And works on my stick 30

Amen.

And the next wave of tanks and atomizers should be focused on poor normal, mouth-to-lung, reasonable wattage vapers.

Agreed. Mouth-to-lung vapers seem to be left out in the cold with the new hardware. While the designs can be improved upon, mouth-to-lungers currently have great choices in the Aspire BVC/Nautilus series (and all the other clearos designed around them) and the current stock of RTAs. If Kanger (or another enterprising company) releases an updated head for its BDC clearomizers, all the Aerotank and Genitank owners will be there as well. Of course, it wouldn't take much for the manufacturers to allow closing down the airflow a bit more on their new tanks.

Maybe 10 hps would be a little overkill. 6 max should be enough. An adjustable cold air intake for controlling cloud temperature would be a good feature too, as well as having a dual, triple or quad tank for multiple juices. That way you could have your rotation in one tank and just select your flavor of the moment. Or set it to auto rotate and cycle a different juice on every hit. I'm gonna wait for the clones :)
