Hi Dale!
Happy birthday Angel!
Wow! You gals were so young when you got hitched! I was 22 and I felt like a baby getting married. When I had my oldest at 24 I felt clueless and wondered why I felt the need to jump into adulthood. I adore my boys but I wish I had waited a few years.
But to put it all in prospective, my first born was a result of living paycheck to paycheck and having to make the decision to get my BC pills or a carton of cigarettes! Guess which one was a priority?????
So glad I vape now

Hi Rachel, have missed you!! Hope you're well too!! :)
Good afternoon all my lovely lurkers.

@Bea-FL welcome...glad to have you join us here...it's a great group of people in here. :)

Momma, glad to see you stopping by...have missed you.

You know all the talk about single parents and also about feeling guilty for taking some time and just doing nothing, made me realize why I have absolutely no guilt for taking my weekends and being totally lazy these days...I'm just exhausted from all those years of working 2 jobs, going to college and raising 3 boys pretty much by myself...yes I was married for the early years, but he was in the military and never home, so I was on my own with them most of the time, and had no family here to rely on for help either, and then once we split up, even though they were older it was during their teenage years, and that was really the most difficult times...so I'm just still trying to recover from all that...it's no wonder I don't want to do anything now! ;)

Had a wonderful birthday dinner last night...great steak and shrimp, plus a really big blue drink, that I'm not entirely sure what it was, but sure was good! :p...Was stuffed when we came home, and we only made it through one movie before we fell asleep...we'll watch the second one this afternoon.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!
Hiya Angel. Glad you weren't at the parade, and prayers sent up for those who were injured!
    Gosh, scary stuff!
Nothing like an unidentifiable drink.

    Hi Chili!

...THAT was weird. My page hadn't refreshed, and I didn't notice it update after I posted...wow, a bunch of posts I missed. Didn't mean to exclude you Chili. ;)

Meatloaf is in the oven, well has been for about a half hour. DH and I double teamed it putting it together, and we had it ready to go in the oven in a flash.

    Hi Lori!
Meatloaf sounds so good! A true Sunday comfort food!
I made a pot of chili today and Steve and I have warmed our tummies with that and cornbread.
But meatloaf and mashed potatoes would be great. Now I know what is on the menu for tomorrow!
Hope you are having a good day!

Thanks Chili...yeah was very young when I had my kids, and know all about the living paycheck to paycheck thing, but I guess I can look at it as I'm still young enough to enjoy things now that they're grown.

    Hi Chili!

I was just shy of 20 when my oldest was born and now he's 25.

Yeah that was scary, but we don't ever go to those parades...just way too many people and the traffic becomes a nightmare and we just don't want to deal with it all...just glad that no one was killed this time...unfortunately usually someone dies every parade season because of some idiot doing something similar.

Not sure what I'll have for dinner tonight...we have tons of leftovers here, so will be something from that.

Evening, everyone . I did a lot of tinkering around the house with a boatload of projects that are under way. I did take this afternoon and watch the Daytona 500, and feel guilty about losing a few hours this afternoon. Oh, well, the projects will still be there.
Just had pork roast and mashed potatoes for dinner. Kind of looking for dessert now, ummm, Dale's stuff looks great!
Tomorrow, I dash off to work for half a day, then it's off to George Bush airport to deposit my wife. She's going to be gone to Mexico all week taking care of a bunch of stuff she has to do down there. So, I'll be batching it for the week.
Hope you all are having a great Sunday!

Sounds like you deserved those few hours, no need to feel guilty...we started watching the race, but ended up watching our second movie from last night instead...hope your wife has a safe trip and that you have a good week.
