How about using an old fashioned ruler smack to the hands instead of a taser? Or is that not legal anymore?:rolleyes:

Nope.. Can't touch 'em any more. The rules that faculty have to adhere to seem to get stricter each year and the students know it.

    Good morning retired :)

Yeah and people wonder why kids are so bad these days. :( No discipline at all.

It gets better. There have been a couple of times (at other schools) where we were called on the radio to respond to the front office. Student is going nutso and all we can do is stand there and watch. We can't touch 'em, either, unless they're about to do grave bodily harm to someone. At that point, our solution is rather permanent and hopefully we'll never have to get to that point.

That’s crazy that you can’t even restrain someone or remove them from the school. :(

Gosh, I know it has been a while since I was here, but I've been pretty busy. Perry's appt. was wonderful. He does NOT have an autoimmune disease in his heart like they thought. He is doing great. Lost 52 lbs, cut back on his BP meds, and has not smoked in 99 days. He has picked up vaping, but says he wants to stop that, too. I quickly told him I had no desire to quit vaping.

When we got finished at the doc's, we headed for the beach and had a wonderful time and beautiful weather. We drove Dad's Impala just to run it. When we got back, his friend gave him a whole bunch of produce. Purple hull peas, lima beans, and a whole box of tomatoes. We were canning for several days, but boy does it feel good to know they are there for the winter.

As if I don't have enough vehicles that need to be sold, I went out and test drove a couple of cars. I think I may be late on my midlife crisis. I am looking at convertibles. They are cool, but I think it would get old. The one I looked at today was way too small for Perry and a little confined for me. It was so pretty, though. I am in the process of trying to talk myself out of that and believe I will be successful.

It has cooled off, and we finally had a tiny bit of rain. Got both yards taken care of, and pretty soon we will have to be mowing leaves. Love this time of year, but hate dead leaves everywhere. No one on the other side of the street gets theirs up, and the wind always seems to blow them my way. I know it is going to be a lot worse since I took down the fence that blocked most of them.

    Good morning everyone

Sorry I have not posted lately, not much going on here. Hope everyone is doing well :)
Good morning Joey! Wow! I’ve missed you, was thinking about you yesterday and wondering if you were okay.

Ugh.. $2,000 to fix the car. So much for new tires this month. Ended up replacing the transfer case, right axle and both wheel bearings. He cut me a terrific deal and covered the bearings under warranty.
    Oh that’s awful. :(
