Good morning Chooch

Chili, no sunshine scheduled for today. Hoping for some breaks in the rain tho' as I really should get to town for a couple of things.

Glad everyone is on high ground and/or not in the path of tornadoes.

Hmmmm... pecan pie and real ice cream! My grandmother made the best pecan pie! And peach cobbler. And lemon meringue. And chocolate cream. And humongous cinnamon rolls. And and and... Ha! Hope everyone had a grandmother that cooked as good as mine.

It's cloudy and cool here today. We've had some snow flurries the last couple of days, but nothing to measure. Lots of things are blooming now so I'm trying to take advantage of it and have some cut flowers in the house. Here are some of my blooms to brighten your day.

Apple blossoms.

Tulips.

Cherry tree blossoms.

Crab apple blossom.

It's storming here again, like we really need anymore rain around here! ...Kind of appropriate though since today was the funeral for our friend who passed away last weekend. Luckily the rain did hold off until after though. It was a lovely touching service, but boy do funerals take it out of you emotionally. I'm worn out and I haven't even done anything physical today!

Glad everyone else is safe from tornadoes and floods...and Kayte those flowers are the perfect pick me up.

Oh my gosh, Kayte. To have all those blossoms around you already must be a soothing sight.

Angel, do what Chili says and don't feel guilty about it.

Finally got some of your rain, Angel; but it was spot showers. Tomorrow is suppose to be a whole lot more. All I know is that I have a lush, green jungle for a back yard. No flowers though......Vines enough that Tarzan would have no trouble getting around.

Our stormy day turned into sunshine Unfortunately I slept the whole afternoon away
Went to town this morning and had to do a lot of detouring due to storm damages,
we were quite fortunate out where we are.
