The AWs work great, so do the ones that NHALER sales, I read somewhere that they were Sanyo underneath, don't know how true that is, I'm sure somebody knows better than me, whether this is true or not, I've had good experiences with them.
The kick needs something to "bulk up" in diameter to fit the tubing of the Katana, as shown in igetcha69's video review of the Katana, as seen on youtube. A couple of layers of insulator tape is fine, I personally use painters tape, as it's available to me.
Just remember, The Evolv website Kick page clearly states the internal diameter needs to be 19.5mm max. The Kick – Instructions « Evolv While adding tape, shims or anything to "bulk" or otherwise jerry-rig a kick to fit a device may allow it to work - it also voids the Kick's warranty. katana is not yet on the Evolv page of "tested"/verified devices. This does not mean it won't work. Just remember that out of spec use does void the warranty.
Just ordered, gonna give this another go. I had one of the first ones from Drew but was a bit underwhelmed for reasons I wont go into but mainly the battery life with the mod I was using it in at the time didn't work for me. With the Opus I find that I'm mostly using it at the 9 - 10 watt range, and since I now have a BAM I'm interested in the battery life possible using a Kick with a 26500. Hoping this works out to be a win for me since it would fit a use I am looking to simplify and would allow me to sell off a couple of mods.
