I would agree with this, if they designed and made the charging system and port. I travel with 2 chargers just in case...
Are you of the opinion that ProVape is using the mini-USB charge boards that eVolv and YiHi are using? Because if you are, you're mistaken... the charge system on the Radius is of their own design, made by them and integrated into the board. It's probably the most sophisticated charger you own for ANY device.

I assumed they used an off-the-shelf charging component. I must have missed that post...

Technology has come a long way the past years but Provape is standing still in some regards like safety. It's like the completely irgnore current tech and decided to just replace everything with their own standards. This was fine in the early days of vaping but not anymore if you ask me.
Lem, I think a day may come when ProVape is asked to demonstrate how safe their devices are...

Think Airline Travel/Transport, and we will be very thankful that they will be able to display just how safe their devices are.

Just my thoughts, Jim

Wow! I am absolutely floored by the level of customer care from Provape.
If you've been following, I have had issues with my new Radius, charge lasted about five hours and then the unit died. Couldn't even re-charge it. I let my problem be known here on the forums and was thinking about submitting a ticket, but never did - thought I play around with it and see.

Well, out of the blue, I get a phone call from @Vape360. He was concerned about my issues and wanted to set it right. I had a nice conversation with him and we came to the conclusion there was a high probability it might be a bad Samsung battery. But just to be sure, he wants to send out a new unit and have me return mine so the engineers can look at and see if there are issues that need to be addressed.

To me, this is unbelievable! Talk about above and beyond. Jeez...

It was interesting to note that @Vape360 told me that out of the thousands they have put out there so far, only 3 or 4 have had problems that needed a return. That follows what I heard on someone's Vape Program when they interviewed a Provape executive who mentioned their return rate was 1/2 of 1%. Pretty damn good track record.

Especially when they jump all over the known problems like they are doing now. I will probably never buy another brand of equipment again. Bring on Black Friday - I'm loving that Stealth Titanium P3 when my points mature.

Yeah, I think a lot of people have come to that assumption... The charging circuit is pretty impressive. It's not the $4.00 generic afterthought board that is on virtually every other onboard charging PV out there. The Port Itself is first rate, well anchored and robust, as well.

I know some may be bored with the technical aspect of the Radius, but it would be nice to have such information. I was very impressed when Vape360 said he thinks the PCB is Class 3...
My job involves inspection and certification of PCBs, so without the technical aspects of Radius' charging system, I assumed it would be the weak point of the mod...

I think it would be cool if Vape360 posted a picture of the board... it's REALLY impressive, I could understand why they wouldn't, though.

They could send me a board, or at least a punch out with 3 component holes and I could post my findings after I stress test it, micro section and inspect it under an electron microscope...

What I don't understand is why the radius is priced at 200 dollars and the p3 is priced mostly above that when the radius uses superior tech is it just material choice polycarbonate cheaper to machine then titanium or steel and cheaper to source

Actually, the charging board on the DNA 200 is very nice. In fact I'd wager to say it's a bit more advanced.

How can it be proved either way though? Wouldn't the outcome just be subjective either way? You'd need to define "advanced" right?

True. I don't own a 200 as I have no need for the wattage. Just taking into account that the board is smart enough to balance charge lipos and also do multiple 18650s is enough to convince me.
