Yeal I've seen several posts that say more or less the same thing. Sorry bout that.

I have also read a lot of posts about people not liking the taste of AP, it just kind of surprises me a bit, I use it in a lot of recipes, never any more then 1%, I think it adds quite a bit to a recipe. Oh well different tastes. :)

To add to this question....The 4oz bottles we get from TFA are plastic, would it be better to transfer the flavorings to amber glass bottles for storage, or does it matter?

I don't store mine in glass, but, then again, some plastics will leach into their contents over time. I haven't noticed anything like that with my TFA flavorings, and I've had some a couple of years or more in plastic. I don't recommend using plastic containers for our juices at all. Those seem to always leach, but flavorings are not juice, and don't seem to have the same issues. :2c:

Sweet Cream 3 drops per ml
Brown Sugar Extra 2 drops per ml
AP 2 drops per ml

Thanks Bill. I just made a 70.00 bottle order and didn't get any 120ml. While unpacking them I thought about the 4oz bottles of flavorings and just knew I was fixing to have to spend more money on putting them in glass. Up until recently, I only had small sample size bottles from different vendors(8-15ml). Many of them I haven't used much or even tried yet, but didn't worry much about long term storage because I will get around to them eventually, but 4oz bottles is ALOT of flavoring. Good to know they are ok in the bottles they came in already nicely labeled :)

ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar, yep that stuff in the kitchen :p
It helps Tobacco's and "darks" like chocolate ... has to do with the PH of the juice.
Lemon juice (little yellow guy from the grocery store), works on fruits ...

Anyone have any luck with TFA grape juice flavor? I made Bill's grape bubbleburst recipe today using the grape juice flavor and I'm not getting any grape at all

Hi Stacy! Taste is subjective, so grape might be a blind spot for you. I can taste the grape just fine at the recipe's percentage, but that doesn't mean it's enough flavoring for you. Did you use TFA grape juice? If so, and you still can't taste the grape, just increase the percentage until you can is all you need to do. The grape bazooka recipe I have posted is one of my daughter's favorite, and a family favorite. I also advocate that juice makers always adjust all recipes to suit their taste preferences. I have never met a recipe anywhere that I didn't adjust to suit my preferences.....NEVER! So, I know exactly what you mean and how you feel.

My first ADV was my Cinnamon Danish at 46% flavoring. I could taste that, and it was very, very strong, and certainly cinnamon is super strong. I vape that recipe now at 23%, and have now, for about 18 months or more. Also, my wife favorite juice is the peach cobbler. I'm on my third iteration of it now. So, our tastes do change and evolve, and how we experience the same juice over time, also changes. The beautiful thing about DIY is that we can adjust what we make to suit our preferences. This is why I got into juice making early in my vaping myself, as I could, in time, make far better juice, FOR ME, than I could buy. A lot had to do, though, with my own sense of taste, and not the juice. Luckily, in time, I learned how to make juice that worked great for me and my family. Eventually, I was able to make juice that was very popular on the Las Vegas strip (but that's a different story). It just is what it is, and we are all different, and TG for DIY! Good luck to you! :toast: :D

Filled up a tank of cliffy' s Melona-what can I say? Rich, creamy honeydew vanilla....well balanced recipe, has chameleon effect least for me it does, sometimes honeydew up front on inhale, some times the vanilla bean gelato, other times it's 50/50, a very thick mouth feel...I like it, it's unique, it's tropical without pineapple or coconut. I could see adding a note of banana to it, or I might even try jackfruit, maybe even Koolada in summer...I don't like the true fruit, but boy am I on honeydew vapes like white on rice, this one is probably the nicest hd vapes I've had just due to it's smoothness and balance...yum! Thanks again for sharing! Wanted to let ya' know I like it:)

Try it at 12-13%, that's where I like it. My latest batch I used grape candy this time and it does make a little difference..

I went back and tasted it again today, and I'm starting to get a little grape. Maybe it just needs a cpl day steep, or it could be my build (vaping on a Mephisto with dual micro coils measuring .6ohms a top a REO so somewhere around 30W). I'll let that one sit a fews days and try it again before I go adjusting the precentage. Last night it tasted pretty much like air. I've vaped so much in the past few days trying to get some new recipes dialed in for a friend that I'm probably experiencing some vapor tongue also. The grape juice is TFA. I'm gravitating more towards TFA flavors because of the HUGE savings on the 4oz bottles compared to other flavor makers. TFA makes one able to make juice for literally pennies which is AWESOME:D. Between playing with fruity mixes for the first time, and trying out the 100DT this has been my most productive juice mixing week. I've got sample bottles EVERYWHERE haha. Tonight, I think I'm going to relax, have a drink, and only go in my vape room if I need to refill a reo bottle. Thanks for all the help

Most of the juices I make I use at about 1.2 - 1.6 ohms, a great range, particularly for subtler flavors, like the grape, lemon, watermelon, etc. If you are going to use that much heat in your vape, you are truly going to have problems with a few TFA flavorings, as they are there, but not super powerful and nuanced. I prefer them for this reason, as they provide a wider range. At the temperature you are vaping, I can see needing 15 - 20% of the grape fruit. I vape at about 11 watts, and. so my juice recipes are designed in that range. When I used to make juices for the Strip, I had to increase the flavorings considerably, because there are a lot of cloud-chasers and very low ohm vapers out there. Different strokes, I suppose. I'm really into the flavor a whole lot more than the vapor, and invariably vape at 1 ohm or a bit higher with a 70/30 VG/PG ratio. Works great for me. Since all the hubbub on high wattage devices has come out, sure we get a lot more vapor, but we have to adjust the flavorings to match the higher heat. Try vaping at 11 watts and let me know if you still can't taste the grape....or NOT! :p And Good luck! :toast: :D

As always, we have to adjust the flavorings to match our preferences, including our hardware preferences. But, these are easy adjustments, and a couple of 100DT's should be all that is required to get the mix right for you. :toast:

Hello all, My name is John and I have been lurking for some time :) I have been cigarette free for 1.6 years and starting DIY about 1 year ago. I sent Bill a private message here a week or so ago telling him thank you for the stuff he post . I was making ok juices , but now they are awesome :) I am one of those go big or go home kinda guys and I have 116 TFA only flavors. I have made a few Of Bill's and they are really good..some adjusted to taste for myself. I have friends that I make them for and they love them.. I wanted to say thank you to you guys ... all of you.. what a great group of people on this thread :) I am going to post a couple of my recipes if anyone wants to try.. remember they are subject to taste.. This is my equipment that I use so you have an idea at what I am running :)

Eleafe I stick with a Lemo tank wrapped at 1.2 ohms / usually vape at 14.5 watts
Vapr Shark DNA 30 with a Lemo tank wrapped at 0.8 ohms/ usually vape at 17.0 watts
Sigelei 30 watt mini with a Kanger sub ohm tank 0.5 ohms / usually vape at 25 watts

I use 100% mg Nic 50/50 vg/pg ( nect time will be 100% PG )

I mix most at 6% mg at 60 VG/ 40 PG but I think I am going to start 70/30 soon

ok first recipe ... this is a RY4 mix, I seem to like the richer darker and a small hint of Tab flavors .. I like the fruits but they get boring to me..

RY4 10%
Vanilla bean gele (new stuff) 4%
Orange cream 3%
Banana Nut Bread 3%
Marshmellow 3%
Almond 2%
Sweetner 3%

This is a creamy slight nut tab with a hint of orange.. please remember taste is different for some so play around with it :) I have also mixed different fruits and it is very good.. this is one that is very good after mixing ..but awesome after about 3-4 days

This is my Honey Tobacco.. not heavy on the tobacco or honey but a sweet creamy vape ..
RY4 8%
Almond 7%
Honey Tobacco 3%
Marshmellow 2%
Vanilla Bean gele 3%

I know its similar to the first but taste way different..

here is one I make for a friend .. this is simple .. and I am going to play around with it later .. see what I can come up with.. but this good and easy right out of the mix

Champagne 10%
Strawberry ripe 6%
Juicy Peach 4 %

easy peasy :)

I am still reading thru this long topic ..LOL.. but wanted to say thank you to Bill and everyone else .. I am going to mix this weekend ... I do have a heating question.. with without searching .. did anybody ever come up with a good plain dark Vanilla on its own ? I I also seen mention of Strawberry Short cake? Thank you guys !!!

here is my supply .. LOL
