Hi everyone

I am doing papa smurf recipe. In original it is
8% blueberry TPA
8% strawberry ripe TPA
3% vanilla swirl TPA
3% sweet cream TPA
4% ethyl maltol

juice came off quite sweet and I liked it but I was missing bluberry taste.
Next mix I came with
10% blueberry extra
7% strawberry ripe
3% vanilla swirl TPA
3% sweet cream TPA
2% ethyl maltol

But again I am missing blueberry
Everything was mixed so that final result was 50/50 VP/PG

Does anyone have some similar recipe where blueberry would pop out as primary taste?

I realize this is a tfa thread but I just made a Blueberry & Cream mix that came out really good. I was having a hard time getting the blueberry to pop. I ended up mixing Capella Blueberry & TFA Blueberry Extra - I couldn't get the flavor I wanted with just TFA.

I use the blueberry wild and extra together, but when add in a strawberry ripe to a bb mix, it's like the flavors meld together into something "berry" new, I really have to play around more to get each to stay in "own lane", be pronounced separately, I have to see if citric acid helps me there or try regular strawberry instead of ripe...been mixing other stuff and keeping my bb and strawberries separate lately....happens with BlackBerry too for me at least when mixed with sbr and bb too. In some mixes, I actually want that, in others, I don't really. Not sure if it's something I'll be able to control or if the flavor molecules meld together somehow and nothing I do will matter?

Mix both blueberries and reduce the strawberry. The red and blue mix is a tough one with TFA flavorings alone as the berries blend/meld and separation is not created. Mom's totally right!

I prefer the sweeter strawberry, and you may get better separation using it. Just a thought....

I'll be playing around with citric acid this week for the same reason. I'm looking to stop flavor changes at a controlled point. I'll post my results as they come in.

Ya I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm not new to building whatsoever but I will say I haven't given my magma the same attention as my other drippers. Meaning I haven't tried as many builds. I know I've done a .7 dual coil and used it on my stingray but honestly I don't think I've really tried anything different - that I can remember. I'm pretty sure that's whats in it now.

I guess I need to just put in some time & energy and like you guys said figure out a build that works. Everyone seems to love it so much I guess I just expected it to blow me away on my first try. It's gotta be the airflow difference that I'm not used to & I just need to adjust for - I'm gonna try raising the coils up a bit and see if that makes a difference. If not I'll rebuild it at a higher ohm maybe. 7 is too low for me on it.

One thing -- I see that you like those powerful cloud-chasing builds -- but a magma isn't really a cloud-chasing atty; it's more about the flavor. You might try something closer to 1 ohm, single coil, and see how that does -- with my 1.3-1.4 ohm build, at 9.5w, it's absolutely amazing.

His 4 oz size runs about $1 more over what tfa sells, but I LOVE his 30 ml sizes and pricing...I'm trying to hold off just because I want smaller trial sizes and others..hope he's online tomorrow and back in stock some others too...we got hit overnight with snow, if they got snow or ice maybe last night??? Not knowing when site comes back is....frustrating. If you have bulk account with tfa, you could see how much 4 oz and shipping estimate, if you use a lot of it that is. I can't win, even wizard labs is oos stuff I want too.

At least the 15ml will last a little longer than BCV's 10ml.

Tfa shipping prices are cheap. I don't think they add much handling charge at all to shipping. Ordering direct from them is the best value on the 4oz though. The 15ml size bottles aren't a great deal and sometimes you can beat the price per ml ordering from someone else. If there is a flavor I want to try a sample bottle of, I'll usually just wait until I make an order for some larger bottles and get it then. I ordered 5 4oz bottles last week and shipping was just a few pennies over 6.00. Can't beat that IMO

Yeah normally I'd have gotten it from BCV, along with some vanilla swirl which I'm also low on... but they're down today, and I'm almost completely out of the DX bavarian, which I need for my strawberry and cream, my ADV -- also out of shisha strawberry, but I ordered 2 bottles of that from ECX, since they're only $2.99 there! Also had to get both wholecig and mothersmilkwta WTA orders, out of that too. So I'll have to wait on larger bottles till I don't need so much other stuff! Those flavor orders and the 2 WTA orders set me back $62!
