So I am going to go for a Grand, stepping into the world of mechanical mods :vapor: I currently have an SVD with stacked AW IMR18350 700mah and at 15 watts that lasts me most of a day, Trying to figure between two 1600mah AW IMR18650s and replace them when they get to 3.0 or when the performance drops off, or the panny NCR18650PD 2900mah I do not plan on going lower than 0.8Ω so either will be more than enough drain wise. Any suggestions?

AW's are perfect, however I've been running the pannies for about 3 weeks or so and they last a loooong time and I love em. I did have to modify my firing pin to use with the flat tops. I made a copper strip supported by the stock pin with an elongated tip. So my grand is dedicated to the PD's. No plans on going back anytime soon:D You'll love your grand, never met a vaper that didn't when they figured out why I don't have a fish bowl stuck on top of my mod:D
you'll be swapping long before 3.0volts, I usually start to notice around 3.6 on both brand batts.

you could just have stuck a magnet on top of the battery.

I did at first, but it moves and is a PITA when changing batts and charging. I got better results with a modified pin and reduced v-drop. It was all a win and very simply to do. If you fumble that little magnet, well that sucks too:)

i can see that exercise machine now! oh dear! and you struggling with your little T-Rex arms to make it to 15!

Let's be honest, i vape because i am trying to not die in the next decade, but i realise that is an ask for a few! I have to last another decade because HRH can only swear fluently in Dutch right now.

It's sexier than Oscar!

That new no-nonsense firing pin cannot come too soon - i am tired of noalox this and this and this. i do run some low Ohm builds now and then and that is why i am particular about the batteries.

If there's a better way without using cotton wool balls as wicks then as an ss mesh, name your gauge of wire, and wick material, kinda guy,l then i'd like to hear about it. My current bit of fluff is my old pal xc-116 and a 9 wrap 26g kanthal at 0.8Ω.

My grand is expected to (and does) run all day on 2 batteries and one juice refill. I require meatballs and pasta and internet access in addition.

She was 1/2 pack day smoker. So thinking the 6mg nic is correct. From my knowledge it is 6mg for 1/2 pk day, 12mg for 1 pk day, etc etc Just hate to see someone have to give up on it and go back to analogs but guess it may not be for everyone. Might just be coincedience (sp) but don't want to risk having her continue vaping.

I know I'm late coming in on this, but it could also be withdrawals...you said she hadn't had a cigarette for days. Headaches can come from a multitude of sources....not the least of which are stress, lack of sleep, dehydration, vision changes, and so many more. But missing all those other chemicals is bound to have an affect on how she feels. Especially since I am convinced that nicotine is not the only thing we were addicted to. Not smoking for a week can cause anxiety too. Most people who I've met who have been sensitive to PG have had irritation of the nose, throat and lungs...I am one of them. Another question that I'm sure someone has asked by now is how much did she vape....if she was chain vaping, that could cause a headache too if you are not used to it. And was she keeping well hydrated? Just some thoughts that I thought of when trying to remember what it was like when I stopped smoking. But to answer your original question, I originally got my VG juices from Alien Visions....but now that I make my own i buy my supplies from ecig express. They have VG juices there as well. I sure hope your friend can find the source of her headache and find a way to avoid it.

Does that ceramic have a distinct flavor? I've always hated the taste of silica and never knew that's what it was till I switched to cotton.
I do change flavors often, every few days or so, so fresh wick and dry burn make switching a snap;)

no flavour that i noticed, but i agree cotton has a good flavour - for 4 hours maybe! i don't have the time to mess with changing wicks every night!

my idea of a decent timescale is a week - with flavoured liquid. I can achieve that with really fat silica, my usual laziness, dual coils and no church on Sunday.
