Morning JK it is a smal piece of circuitry that turns a mechanical mod into a VV or VW device. It takes up the space of a battery size so if you have a 18650 mod you use 18500 battery+kick

FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics

I use in my mechs

With mods like the king, you add the kick ring to extend the mod so you can use a kick with all 18xxx size batteries.

What's a "kick" (besides what I used to receive as a child for misbehaving)?
Evolv makes the original Kick and they are about 50 bucks I think and work really well. Mine went bad on me after a couple years or more and I picked up two of these Kamry Kicks the other day. They do work and they do output the power that is advertised. For 3 bucks its a really good deal. It says that 1.4ohm is the low ohm limit but I am running a 1.2ohm on one right now.

Still Tootle Puffing along on my Smok Koopor Plus 200W. I bought it for TC, but the firmware has a glitch and won't work with advertised wire in the specified resistance range. That's verified across most of the population that uses these. Firmware is updateable but you have to buy a $30 ROM programmer and download the firmware update. Smok should be covering this through dealers.

At least I have a nice dual 18650 mod that does fine in wattage mode. I get about two days of vaping from a set of batteries.

The moral? Don't buy version 1 of anything with electronics. Mine is version V1.002. I can't understand how they made it through QC.

Windows ME killed my hard drive... But then remember:
1. Check is in the mail
2. I will respect you in the morning
3. Routine upgrade

I was wary of the Windows 10 download upgrade, but I tried it on my HP laptop and it went fine. Not so on my wife's one year older Win 7 HP laptop. I ended up having to resort to the system restore process and then reload her My Documents directory from a 64GB thumb drive I bought for backup.

The desktop I built a couple of years ago went fine, also. Now, there's a scan available for upgrade compatibility. Too little, too late for hers!

I still say never buy version one of anything. :)

Backups are your friend.

Ordered a Pearl White(Brushed Steel) OLA X Hero 30w Box Mod yesterday for $17.99!! :D

I should have got a Black one too!!
I'm looking at the "golden" one. Hard to beat the price for a regulated, external battery mod.

I was looking at those yesterday....tempting, but the mod simply isn't for my style of vaping. The watts don't go down low enough. But...sure was a tempting price! I ended up getting a Heatvape Defender instead. Has a better wattage range.

I like them. Haven't had any problems with the ones I have. I run them about 1/2 a watt below my innokin devices for the same vape.
