Extremely uninformed. He didn't do his homework. He had one agenda item to push during this meeting: marketing e-cigs to kids. Totally clueless about everything else.

His quiet, Oh my, these are being marketed to children. Tsk tsk. That's just terrible. We have to do something about it... It's as if he was an actor on stage. Very quiet, very dramatic.
Well, my response wasn't respectful. I saw no need! If he can't respect my personal choices, then he's just another federal teat suckling!

You are very welcome, I was home, it was on, and like another poster, if I didn't type I would have been yelling at the computer and scaring the dogs!!! lol (I was "fortunate", if that's what you wanna call it, to watch it on the big screen rather than my computer so I was free to type away)
This is perhaps the most frustrating/ disheartening comment made during this hearing.

I am so very tired with many in our government (both republican and democrat) forsaking and overriding our constitution. This is what they were elected to uphold and defend. I have a constitutional right to make my own choices regarding such products without government interference. If Sen. Harkin is so alarmed about e-juice being promoted to children, simply enforce laws that prohibit sales to minors. That should be the end of this discussion.

I just Can't believe how Harkin is making an Azz of Himself.
I'm at the point now where Zeller it Trying to Explain to Harkin that e-Cigarettes are NOT a Drug Delivery device. As has had to Tell him what the Courts have Already Ruled on.
Why Doesn't Harkin Know Any Of This?
I couldn't watch. Of all days, the company I used to work for asked me to do some editing on a proposal and it took all afternoon into the evening. Did Bob Casey say anything? He is my senator and I wrote and called him.
If nothing else the ecig movement may wake a few people up about who they vote for. When you see how out of touch these people really are it is shocking and just think there are hundreds of them in DC. When half the country is taxed to death to pay for the other half there is only one word that can describe it. SCREWED.

Harkin turns and asks his Aid for advise. And you can see her Mouth the Work "No".

); but I followed the link on the first post (after the meeting was over) and at the top of the page was a link - C-SPAN 3 Now - to the recording. I watched the whole thing, then started reading the posts here. However, there were comments that were made about the meeting that I didn't recall hearing. I went back to the site and found a link to the meeting in a different place and it appears that what I first watched had a number of moments edited out

I noticed that there were a Couple of times that the Video Skipped Forward for a Minute or so. But Chocked it up to a Streaming Glitch.
Because I never saw the Real Time Version.
Maybe something was said that they Didn't want to Rebroadcast?
The second link I found to a recording had comments made by the participants in it that the first link I followed didn't; so not sure what the purpose would be of editing them out in the first. The link that I followed first is no longer on the "front page" where it was - it was in a "rotating" link position. Just strange. 
I dunno if I would go so far as saying We Won. Because there Wasn't really Anything to Win or Lose at this Point.
But I will say that I say some Hope from Mr. Zeller. I think he sees that Yes, there is an Issue with Under-Aged Vaping. But that there is a Huge Benefit for Adults for Harm Reduction.
I also think he has Enough Scientist left in him that he Can't Ignore some of the Publish Research that is out there in Favor of Adults using e-Cigarettes.
Rep. Burr brought up some Great Points. And was kinda the Voice of Reason.
McAfee from the CDC seems like an Anti Nicotine Hardliner.
And Harkin is Clueless and Lying. More of an Embarrassment and as another member mentioned... "Couldn't get off the Flavor Train."
If they did edit things, it would just prove they have an agenda and will not be dissuaded by inept comments. Probably ran to Cspan and told them what to edit out that showed their side in a poor, uninformed light. Would not put it past them.
If that is True, they would have to Edit Out about 70% of what Harkin said.
Harkin's aid seemed to be Much More Informed than he was. Not sure why She didn't Chair the Session instead of him?
