When using Silica,,,I've been using the 28 K with my ERA-rba for about 2 months now, just showing how I do mine,,, I use a 3/32 drill bits smooth end to wrap my coil, then take a nice sized piece of 2mm Silica and loop it in half, using a small scrap piece of wire I twist it around the Silica at the loop, and then guide the wire through my coils and pull the lopped piece of silica through so I have a DBL 2mm piece. then snip the loop, then pull it around behind the 2 post and tie a knot. 10 coils like this = 1.5ohms, This coil does have a break in period, maybe 30-40 vapes until its fully broken in, it's a killer coil and the flavor and vapor both are Super ,Pic's below =

I bet that coil lasts forever with a little maintenance. That's a whole lot of metal. The drill bit method sure makes a sweet symmetrical coil.

I should get mine in a month or so :)

Something to keep in mind, I didn't think of it till you just posted that now. I sent a package to Singapore on Wed, and I sent it International express. It was $40, but it was guaranteed by Mon. This is always an option if it is something you just cant wait for.

I forgot that I asked to also be put on the "Reserve" list. If someone else needs it for now since mine is on the way. Just skip over me so someone else gets some. After that just keep me on the "whatever you're getting" list. Like I said, I am going to be collecting un-employment for the 1st time in my 54 years old life so I will need things to keep me busy. Learning new things to do with RBA's is going to be a big time killer. If it's something that will "Learn me sumptin" I'll buy that for a dollar! Ok, $2.15. If I need to sign up every time that's ok too.

Anyway, if ya need it, take me off the reserve, if ya don't, ok then. Thanks.

BTW, I didn't mean to leave rusalka's name off the "THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH" List. I honestly didn't realize how many folks there are that are making this logistics nightmare run like a professional shipping and receiving business. (Sorry, had to throw in another attempt at praising you guys.)

OH YEAH, ALMIGHTYGOD! Where the hell do you get off, writing in to e-cigarette forums, wasting time on trash such as this when you are supposed to be making Scarlett Johansson fall madly, deeply, insanely, head over freakin heels in love with me!?!? Get off the forums and GET TO WORK ON SCARLETTNOW DAMNIT. I'm almost 54 and I ain't got much time left.

I have never blown one of my own coils kwalka, especially with the 28 & 30 Awg Kanthal they are super strong coils, and yes the 3/32 drill bit for DBL 2mm Silica is perfect and makes a perfectly round and super efficient coil, this particular set up I pictured has really worked super in my ERA & Fatty-V2 RBA's as well as using the different mm drill bits for each different Genesis wick hole, cant beat this system.

I'm used to waiting :) And believe it or not, first class shipping, although cheaper and no tracking, is usually faster than priority. For first class I have had to wait between 1 week (if I'm lucky) and five weeks. Priority I don't get before three weeks!

I was glad to find out about this. A freind started 28ga a couple months ago and told me to get some, cause it's AWSOME, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Hang in there Roszam. I ordered mesh from England expecting a 3 or 4 week delivery time. To my surprise, I received it in less than 2 weeks. I had heard that things gets held up in Customs. Perhaps I was lucky. I wish you luck as well!! :)

I am really loving this wire. I fibbed when I said I exclusively use RBAs. I also use modded Vivi Novas that I rebuild myself. So technically I guess those are RBAs. :D
Anyway, I just used 1 pc of 3mm silica and did 4 tight wraps and its right at 1Ω. This may be my forever wire. I really cant see a reason to use anything else, in my case.

Thank you. My wire arrived today. Yikes, if for some reason I don't like it from my RBA's it's heavy enough to use when putting up dropped ceilings or tying up a muffler or tailpipe in a pinch.

Yes sir it is. It def takes some getting used to working with that thick gauge. I always burn my wire just so it's not so springy. With this stuff I think it's required. I have never tried the drill bit method for a genny coil, but I think I may have to with this stuff.

Yea Ken I've been rebuilding Stardusts for awhile now and started rebuilding a Mini Nova and a Replacable head stardust as well so I use ALOT of wire, lol. Using 32 now and am looking forward to the 30 for them.

I'm interested to see how much of a difference there is. I have also been using mostly 32 since the beginning.
