50% Vape tax?

Was about to order some juices. The total is about 120, after tax 200 with a whooping 60 dollars tax. I mean, i know i have been paying quite a bit for excise tax but never paid attention and did the math until today.

Yes vapor taxes are only a state thing right now. Some states have vapor taxes but many do not yet. You will find in this post-PACT Act era that most stores are charging vapor axes and sales taxes. But make sure they are charging you properly, I have see many store charge improper percentages for state vapor taxes.

Hey Uncle!!

Im in WA and multiple online shops today all charged me 20 bucks for tax for the same products. Fyi im buying 3 bottles of 75ml juices and price is 14 each. The tax came out to be about 50%.

Base on my attachment hope you can see it looks like it checks out if i use .09/ml instead of the other price whatever “open” or “close” means.

Those jerks just have to make it so difficult and so expensive for people who want other options besides cigarettes.

MyFreedomSmokes charges WA state vapor taxes on nic base. So a $65 100ml bottle of nic base is taxed at $90. That's almost a 140% tax.

WA has been out to get rid of vaping since early on (public health didn't like vaping). One of the reasons I moved from there.

I think DIY your own liquids will be necessary soon if you live in that state.

DIY is the only way to go. No way in hell would I pay 65 dollars for 100 ml, let alone any inflated taxes. I have enough nicotine stashed to last me for a lot longer than I expect to live. And I've said before, the newfangled nicotine pouches or "white snus" is actually doable as a sub for vaping. They do deliver a considerable nicotine kick which staves off cravings. But anyone who didnt prepare for what we are seeing is gonna be SOL in a short period of time. Buying nicotine base is done. I thought flavorings were safe but my favorite supplier will now not sell flavorings to me or any other non business entity. Thanks, river supply, for turning your backs on us. I'll use what I have til it's gone, maybe another supplier will still sell to individuals. If not, I'll vape unflavored. Some folks say it's not half bad.

I use BCF for flavorings, you can also buy direct from many manufacturers like TPA and Medicine flower, or shop at chef's flavors - they ship to the U S for reasonable prices.

You can still buy nicotine at some places but you have to pay whatever taxes your state imposes. In my state it's 6.6 cents per ml, regardless of strength so for a liter of 100mg it's a 66 dollar tax - but we knew that was coming and is why we stocked up.

River Supply isn't the only place for flavors.
