5v GLV2 - Day 10 - Just have to say

I really love this thing. I never liked being tied to the computer with a passthru so I never used them much. But now, WOW, walking around with this 5v beast is nothing but pure joy.

I first put some Tenergy 3.0v batts in (thinking 6 volts should be good) and was disappointed with the vapor production. Then I started using some Ultrafire 3.6v 880mah batts, and POOF, this thing is now a vapor fog machine. I LOVE this thing!! The 7.2 volts really allows this bad boy to maintain a steady 5 volts till drained.

So far I've only used 510 cartos and 808 premium style cartos (with adapter). Haven't used any 510 attys yet.

I have come across one small issue, but it might just be an Ultrafire issue. I am finding on the end of the batt that has the protection circuit on it that it is a VERY tight fit. I am having to work that end of the batt in order to get them in. Anyone else noticing this with other batts?

But the main reason for my post is to just let Jay know I love his creation and perhaps if any one is trying to decide, to just buy it (the 5v model).

SR219, I'm 91/2 days behind you as I just got my Chevy Orange 5v this morning. What a nice mod! The finish is excellent, it feels great in the hand and it's less than a half inch longer than my Little Chuck. This is my first 5v experience and, after just a few hours I can see why it's called the sweet spot... strong yet mellow consistent hits.

I ordered 3 pairs of the AW batteries from Lighthound in preparation for my inbound GLV2. They shipped the next day and I received them 2 days later. Good price and fast service.

They also have this cool little plastic storage/carrying case that holds 2 batteries, they were 50 cents each if you order 3 or more. I got 4.

I'm hoping those plus the pair of batteries with charger that I ordered from Jay will hold me if I need to go a while before recharging.

Now I just need my new GLV2 and I'm set. Stalking the mailman time.

Hello, Twinkle you would not regret pulling the trigger on the GLV once you got it.

He does have a sale I took advantage of. If you get a GLV-2 you can add a GLV mini to your order for $15 off. I have one at home and I am waiting for my second GLV and mini now. Hope they come soon.
