It has been suggested on forums like "candlepower", that one of the main reasons American companies that put their name on so many battery products, don't offer any rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and chargers, are the "potential" for problems, with some of the volatile chemistries. What I mean are companies like Energizer, Duracell, etc. while their products are most likely not made in USA, if marketed in the US, those companies can be held legally responsible for those products. You will find some ONE TIME USE Li-Ion batteries from those companies, but I have not seen any rechargeable ones. These are single batteries, used once and then thrown away. Obviously, the rather lax legal system of these imported Chinese products does not seem to apply. If there are any rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and chargers being branded by a US company, like either of the two I mentioned, I would be interested in seeing a link to them? If not, then I suspect the liability issue to be the main reason they are not marketing these products that us vapers rely on. Thus the disclaimers on most web sites for these rechargeable battery products.

Well I just got the TW batters (Slow boat from china) and they work about the same as my UltraFire 2400mah. I have only charged them once but they last about a day which is ok with me because I like to charge once a day anyway.

So its nice to have some extra battery's but they did nothing in performance on my SB.

sorry folks the buy american statement was all the reading I was doing on candle forum.

Those charts didn't show up for me last time and nice to see some data TY : ).

I am kinda surprised that they seem to run amoung the pack in results but are safe to stack. My main concern about the stacking is..I cant help but wonder if it is just marketing and advertising hype.

With the really high discharge rate (is it 10C?), has any of you tech oriented folks thought of making a small portable battery powered "DC welder".
A stack of maybe 4 of these would probably be good for welding thin sheet metal, little hobby projects, or maybe even switch contacts. Make/break current rating of switches are the rated current that a switch could reliably make/break without the contacts welding shut (in case of a short circuit).
Maybe we could use these batteries to weld connections instead of soldering.

Big battery MOD arc welder, now that sounds like an accessory I could put to use.

Interesting how everyone states buy American made and now batteries appear from China that say---> what you want them to say and their the best?

Pretty trusting aren't we?
I've tried to do research on them and I do not read the foreign language in which any info is available. I am not so trusting either. I find it difficult to believe this just happens to arrive in the very sizes that are needed for us. Is it possible they are nothing more then the regular ones? I mean really what assurances do we have on these besides words type on a page written as fact?

I don't think you have any idea what your talking about. These batteries weren't designed for us. They're not even any good for us in most situtations. The DBSB is one, and the low resistance attys are another. They have absolutely noting to do with ecigs, they just happen to be good in a couple situations.

For anyone that uses the MBT-1 battery tester from ZBT, I asked them if the tester accurately tests the high drain LiMN chemistry of this AW battery. It DOES, this was the response:

"The Li-Ion type cells are nominally 3.6/3.7V, however when fully charged they are a little over 4 volts. The tester is programmed for this type of cell/discharge profile, and from you description it sounds like everything is working properly. Also, the open circuit voltage (no load) of the battery is higher than when under pulse load."

Interesting observation here. I am no battery wizard or remember how the watts equations work, buuut..

I've been using an Altsmoke LR 510 on different Trustfires at 3.7v. Can't really get over the torched flavor but am learning to take faster hits while allowing the atty to cool, which helps a lot. It's torching flavor more than my 5v mods which are hitting tight, thick clouds but smoothly, a comparison would be similar to 510 vs. 901.

I decided to drop a full IMR back into the BSB with a LR atty, expected fried bacon bits to pop out, it actually smooths things out like my 5v devices, I can take much longer draws that I've been used to since the start, get a slammin hit without burning my juice. Whats' up with that, anyone else try? I think I might have a winner here. :)
