The first pics of the Target mod had a nice white mod but with "ORANGE" buttons......

Maybe just my taste but think white should have black buttons......just my opinion.......
I'm just waiting for purple. I hope it comes out soon. I don't trust preorder.
These are pictures of the Target colors. Old on top, new on bottom.

I have one of the white ones with orange buttons. It's a sample model and I do know they have changed the buttons for the full production model. The white with orange buttons is actually pretty cool looking in real life, but black buttons will look great on it. :)

I find the SubTank Mini RBA to be quite easy to rebuild. The easiest thing for a beginner would probably be to start with something that is designed to be rebuilt (other than the Joyetech CLR). Of the 3, I'd suggest the SubTank Mini RBA Head.

I hope this helps. The videos may help you to decide.

I find the "Kanger Toptank Mini 4.0ML Atomizer RTA" to be quite interesting...because it is top-filling.

It supports the "Kanger RBA Plus".

Is the "Kanger RBA Plus" different from the "SubTank Mini RBA" that you're suggesting is good for beginner/lazy/stupid rebuilders like me?

gerry, what do you currently like to use? Big air sub-ohm, or tighter, like a tootler?

Sorry to be so long getting back to you. I was away at my Family Christmas Gathering.

The SubTank Plus and Mini both use the same RBA Head. It is easier to build on than some because it has a raised lip/ridge on both sides of the post screws, making it easier to capture the coil legs to terminate them. It has a screw to tighten that keeps the chimney and top cap on.

The original SubTank does not have the raised lip/ridge on both sides of the post screws.

The top one looks rose gold to me and the middle one looks like the sample white one. The bottom one definitely looks purple to me, though! It's so hard to tell from pictures, especially when viewing them on different screens. That's why I am so partial to hand checks, lol! :)

Ive seen mixed reviews about the coils though. What do you guys think. I hear amazing flavor and vapor, but the ceramic is almost chalky, and flakes off on the fingers. I saw rip trippers review, but I duno. I then watched VapnFagan's review, and the coil look down right scarry to vape on. Thoughts on this guys?

:D Sorry, didn't mean to offend. But I really have no idea how safe that ceramic is for vaping. It's just me, don't worry about me. I have a problem with ceramic coils in general. Not just safety--they have never been tested--but also convenience.

100%VG doesn't approve of safety questions detracting from these devices. He deems it "alarmist". He thinks it's safe, and feels you should too.

He asked me to make a different thread about it's safety concerns. I have started one here:
safety concerns of sintered ceramic wicks/coils

It sites a research study discussing the microscopic fracturing of sintered porous ceramics during heat cycling, and the release of mullite crystaline needles leading to thermal degradation.

This way, we can keep the nefarious safety concerns away from the product campaign.

100%VG suggested (for someone who is new to rebuilding) either the Subtank Mini RBA (which I think I can use in the Kanger Toptank Mini) or the Joyetech CLR heads (which I can use in the TRON tank).

I'm a confirmed MTL tootle puffer (NO interest in TC), have never really exceeded 11Watts and use the 2nd smallest hole on my Nauty's AFC's.

So VTurtle...do you think my being a Tootle Puffer should result to my leaning more towards one over the other???

Since you are a tootler, I'd suggest that something more attuned to tootling natively would be more appropriate. The subtank mini's rba head is indeed easy to build on, but has bigger air flow than you want. And my opinion is that just shutting down the intake hole does not really compensate for large airways throughout the atty.

My suggestion would tend towards a Kayfun. (I like a KFL+, others prefer other models, such as the KF4.) Very easy to build and more restrictive by design.

Just my opinion. But I am always right, ya know.

Hey, @jefx, VG started this thread (thank you for that, VG!), but he doesn't own it. You may feel free to bring up any issues you want until SmokeyJoe tells ya you can't. And I think right here would be the best place for it rather than another thread, since this is where the sintered heads are being discussed.

Don't let that 100%er push you around just because he doesn't use PG. ;)
