The problem with putting us in the supplier forum, is some do not take kindly taking about non-vendor related stuff.

Just my .02 here.

ECF is trying to get us all to "mix" and not break off into separate cliques. This is the reason that MVP and VV3 owners only have one official 'thread' in the Variable APV forum. Of course if there were an official ProVari owners thread in Variable APV, we'd all know what that would become.

So I think we should do our best to "mingle" whenever possible. If we have issues that are applicable to vaping in general, we should post there.

A simple on going Saloon thread then be posted here in the ProVape area (assuming MonsterKenny approves) or if he doesn't approve then we can have the Saloon thread be held in the group area that we have and deal with no sigs and a character limit (gawd, how am I gonna deal with that..)

Just my .02

This is unfortunate news.  :(

Well, we are "guests" here on ECF and on the Provape supplier forum, so we have to abide by the decisions of those that be. Let's try to make the best of the situation we're dealt with.

I am okay with it. I didn't want to be a Mod, and agreed only because it appeared to be the group's desire.

Like you said, sir, let's make the best of what we have.

Yeah, that would only work if they didn't keep moving the ProVari threads out of the General E Smoking forum...lol

Yeah the put them into the Variable Voltage APV areas which is pretty hostile and the mod of that forum is pretty strict about staying on topic.

I'd be banned on the first day. If we move there, I'll just deactivate my account.

And before anyone says anything. A lot of you would be banned too. ;)

I usually try not to mention how many ProVaris I have but if numbers count then I'll stand up and be counted I have 8.

I do think it is high time I updated my sig so if I could prevail on PLANofMAN to make me a nice new sig with the black ProVarinati typeset and these two critters who happen to be my best friends in there I would be very grateful.

Oh...I LOVE that banner. Makes me smile just to see it. Just darling, POM!

Oh my bad...I see it was Ocelot who made the banner. Whoever made it, it is just sweet and darling and adorable.

It really sucks that we can't have our own little house in the country. But if we can stay here in Provape land that is better than that dumb social group place which is so bare bones. Ocelot, you did your best, but none of us runs this forum, and it is really their call how things work, so we just have to find the best way possible to work with their decision. Maybe we just need to get clearance from Kenny to stay here permanently. Surely the Provape folks can see the advantages of a lot of folks posting about their love of Provari ($$ for them, at the very least). And like Tina did, we can direct new users here also. We just really need to know where "permanent" is and then make it our own.

While it may turn out to vary widely, as addictions do, latest testing (actual scientific study - no I don't have a link sorry) indicated that Nicotine ON ITS OWN was NO WHERE NEAR as addicting as CIGARETTES.

This explains the difficulty many people have with a switch to vaping - but once they've done that, their remaining nicotine addiction is much easier to manage or eliminate, and of course, not proven especially harmful either.

I not feeling very inspired right now. Your turn PoM-PoM.

ETA: I agree with everything you posted except "Nicotine is as addictive as caffeine, and about as dangerous." Nicotine is more deadly than arsenic, but of course we aren't vaping very high amounts. And, at least for me, it's more addictive than caffeine. I've never been inclined to go on a Quit Coffee forum.

The nicotine is extremely important when first making the switch from cigarettes to vaping but that subsides fairly rapidly in many cases after one vapes for a while.

The action portion of smoking/vaping is FAR harder to pull away from.

Which is good because nicotine can be nasty when in purer form.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'm confused or if y'all are but perhaps somebody can shed some light on this matter for me..

There's Social Groups: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/groups/

and then,

There's Social Group Forums: Product and Vendor Specific

The old Social Groups are what is being slowly phased out. The HHV Army is currently active in the Social Group Forums section. Where exactly are y'all trying to end up?!

Sorry I've been out of touch with this transition and just saw this thread so, had to ask.

Hi Dusty, I'm by no means the leader of this fine group, but the first link you provided takes us to an area where we've found the features (no likes, no sigs) lacking. We like the standard features of the forums. :) Thanks for poking your head in here!

Edit: to be clearer -- I believe where the HHV army is. The OP of this thread would be the authority on the move. :)

I'll go digging and see what I can come up with.

p.s - Is there an issue with creating threads and hanging out in the Provape supplier section? I would expect that the heightened traffic in their area would be a plus.

Dusty, I think the issues are several. One being, they would like to have control over stickies, not worrying about what they discuss (other PV's etc...). Some place that shows up on new posts. They have checked out the HHV Forum and really like what we've done over there.

Just my two cents :)

ETA: I agree that the Social Groups Pages are non-functioning. Those are really just bulletin board type areas. Not conducive to actual socializing. They really are obsolete.

No issues that we know of at the time...However some have experienced some concern that the vendor might not appreciate some of the directions certain threads may take. For example, many of us purchase and use non-provape produced products and that gets reflected in the posts.

Or, in some threads, we may rabbit trail into realms that only our minds can comprehend.

I for one have no problem camping out here, but I think a lot of us want to make sure we have the vendors blessing before permanently dropping anchor or if there is a problem with mentioning non-provape products or subjects here, then another location might be more appropriate.
