I agree with valley view vapes. He has some really nice tanks at a good price. I have 3 of them and really pleased with them.

Same here. Got my 4 tanks yesterday. The two pyrex are sweet...but I am using the triple V cuz I had no idea how to fill the pyrex. I don't see how that tank can ever leak...love it. Both styles seem awesome.

Below are the two tanks I got from High Desert today. The red-eyed green tree frog was a custom request order. This critter is my favorite animal, they are so cute. The tank artisian did a wonderful job creating him. The day I made the order High Desert was having a buy one, get one free offer. I chose the black & white dot tank as my free tank. Can't beat that offer. It took less than 10 days from my order until delivery.

The two tanks came with a couple of DCT cartos; I didn't have any standard size cartos and it looks to me like that is the size these two tanks need. Silicone grommets fit the tank well; the carto slid easily into the grommets with the Slap-Yo-Mamma tank tool. The grommets hold the carto well; the tank can be rotated around the carto, but is not loose in a way that it would slide off the carto if you picked up the mod by the tank itself. Very much pleased.

Special thanks to bnrkwest for his help and letting me know about the buy 1 get 2 offer, that is what made the deal for me to get my first custom made tank. :thumb:

Oh I love the tree frog!! How cool! Yes you really can't beat the sales at High Desert, he has fast shipping and great service and the details on the tanks are just impressive. So glad you tried them out! They are very nice tanks :) I was checking out my collection and I have at least 4 free tanks from his special sales, great way to get some quality tanks. bnrk

So now that I posted that, you guys owe me....

What glass tanks should I start out with?

Right now I use the Smoketech ones with dual coil cartos. I also like the Apollo Tank and I just ordered some Vivi Nova v2.5 tanks to try.

I love my valleyview vapes pyrex for the price. I think I will be ordering cooler caps for it, they just started carrying them

I only read the first few pages of this thread, and the spot where everybody was talking about carto punch tools kinda made me wonder if y'all knew about saddle valves. When I was making homemade syringe tanks, that's what I used to punch my cartos. Worked great. I gave up on the tanks cause the rubber plunger caps spit out too much junk into the tanks. But I just can't fathom why people would spend $40 on a tool when you can get a saddle valve soooo cheap. $6 and it does exactly what ya need it to.

Shop Watts 1/4-in Polyethylene Tube to Self Tapping Saddle Valve at Lowes.com

My previous experience has been with the SmokTech DCT. Had the polycarbonate (clear) tube ones, both leaked and were discarded. I've had much better success with the newer polypropylene (frosted) SmokTech DCT's.

My first pyrex tank was the Triple V from Valley View Vapes. Not as highly finished as a Phiniac tube, but very inexpensive for a glass tank. Only downside was the very tight-fitting silicone grommet instead of end caps (required a needle insertion to fill the tank), but now he offers either delrin or aluminum endcaps (higher cost) and also has the first side screw in a glass tube. Still a good buy compared to the other glass tanks.

Next pyrex tank was from High Desert. More artsy glass blown designs like the Phiniacs. Also uses silicone grommets, not as tight as the Triple V tanks (but still snug) you are able to slide the carto in and out of the endcaps easily to refill or change cartos.

My current newest tank is a Bella tank, very similar to the blue tank that you posted or the JonBoyUSMC lavatanks. Sold with what I believe is a polycarbonate tube, but allegedly a clear Phiniac tube will fit the Bella end caps. These are sold by Hoosier Vapes $50. There was an incredible variety of tanks available, but since their grand opening last weekend many of this batch were sold. With the Bella endcaps and the Phiniac custom sand blasted pyrex tube combo, I will have a great customized personal "bling" tank I will be proud to own.

I don't believe you can go wrong with a Phiniac. They have been around a while now and I've heard nearly all stellar reviews.
A little pricey, but considering the materials, craftsmanship, and artistry, and customization available they probably rank at the top.

I hate using syringes. Once, I almost injected myself with vape juice.
Hoosier Vapes? Not Hoosier ecigs? And yes maybe I should go with Phiniac - sometimes it's cheaper just to buy the good one!

I don't care they look. I just want tanks that work well and don't need injecting. I have not had the Smoketech dual coil tanks leak.

Do you have to use the small cartos with the small tank? 4 ml sounds good to me but I use the larger dual coil cartos.

Small carto on the 4ml, XL on the 7ml. they come with a carto...I got dual punched single coil standard resistance. I use VV so I like single coil and higher resistance.

I use the dual coil cartos at about 4 volts. I like to punch them myself with the V2 carto punch because it makes bigger holes, and then I only need one hole. Why can't you use the big carto for the small tank?

You can use the dual coil cartos on the "short" tanks --if you don't mind the top of the carto extending out a ways from the tank.

Not sure how the Triple V tank prices, now available with either the metal or delrin end caps, compare with other glass tanks. Recheck the Valley View Vapes website for prices. I personally don't care for the looks of the optional side screws, but there are many tank users that prefer filling their tanks that way. I think the flat black delrin end caps with red 0-rings look pretty sharp. I ordered 2 sets to put on my two 7 ml tanks to replace the silicone grommets. I have a hunch these tanks are still an economical way to get started with glass tanks.

For some reason I'm unable to link the Hoosier Vapes web site (might be because I'm on a computer at work). Google "hoosier vapes evolution tanks" and you will get there.

I love Phiniac tanks and plan to order more. They are well made and look good. They have the tall tanks for dc cartos.

I also hate using syringes, that is what sold me on the Slap Yo Mama fill tool and High Desert tanks, no muss no fuzz filling. They are so very easy to deal with. bnrk
