While I appreciate the Aromamizer RDTA for the innovation shown in some of it's design features, I am selling mine for the same issue. Muted/non-existent flavor. Seems it doesn't produce any flavor until you put a high wattage build in it, and then it's just so-so.

Doing lung hits at 60+ Watts isn't my style, so I gave up on it.

Oh believe me, If I could get 80-120w lung hits on a tank I would do it. I don't see it possible on an rta. I however would love a hot, but flavored vape in an Rta, and I remember burning my tongue with the Subtank. Wish I could find that true rda vape in an Rta. Not just wide open lung hits (more than this thing), but the heat and flavor to accompany.

I cruise 80w but often bump to 100w on rdas, and I go through 30ml a day due to it, but which is why I really want this Flavor thing to work around 40-50w on an Rta.

I've lung hit my Aromamizer at 100 Watts using 28ga, vertical, quad-coils on the tri-post deck. Mostly just to see if it could keep up.

It handles it just fine. :)

But as mentioned, that's not my preferred way to get flavor out of a tank. I much prefer flavor by good design, then via brute force.

How long were you hitting and when did it dry? Velocity clone by Tobeco is the most efficient high wattage flavor rda I've used. I had a mutation v4, at the time it was before I had anything other than a 50, and the thing hit flavor like crazy, but been wondering if I should get the mini v4... Imagining it with one of my coils now... I 22g.. 6 wrapped at 3mm... 100w... I wanna taste it.. I need to stop lol. This is why I am looking at rtas... Using more liquid than I can buy...

Do your wicks touch the bottom deck or float a hair above the holes

Im diggin my aromamizer. flavor isnt quite RDA level (probably the distance between coil and mouth) but its not far off.
i also cant vape as fast as in would like above 40 watts

Loosely spread, and not stuffed, but pretty sure they cover.

Ninja edit : I had to refill the tank anyway, what did you do? I pulled the cotton up just slightly and I can actually taste the liquid a little bit, and the air flow is hitting smoother, it's not as jagged feeling.

Second edit: I'm heading to bed for the night, I will continue replying to posts as long as this thread stays alive for the next 12 hours, or someone at least replies. Thanks to you all.

Yea if you look through the hope and see posts then you just turn the airflow ring to the other two holes... The Aromamizer threaded bottom cap is pretty good about lining up posts in two holes and coils at the other two.... As far as the tiny diameter of 1.5 it isn't really too difficult to wick... You just twist your starting end tighter and use less cotton to fill the middle...down side is you are changing cotton more frequently but the flavor is superb

I find it difficult to line them up or even tell if they are centered. Also 1.5mm scares me, how would that even hold juice? I've always, always done 3mm. No less. And why horizontal and not vertical? I only vert when I need top drip on an RDA without removing the top cap. Explanation of these things may help.

Not blocked by cotton, but 8 have tremendous difficulty lining them up or even being able to see if they are once it's inside the base once screwed on.

I've got plenty of 26, but I've not used anything but 22 for dripping, I occasionally try 24 but end up going back to my 22g. Again though this is a new field, know nothing about rta building.

Has been better than my Subtank RBA and Stock rebuild from a while back though, I melted everything. Straight through the insulator. Don't even have that thing anymore.

IMO your coils in this pic are way too Big! I think your deck is just so stuffed the Aromamizer is Chocked :( Try smaller horizontal coils 2mm and less wicking.
I love my tanks and have quite a few :) I pretty much build all my velocity style decks the same.
2 smallish horizontal coils with a loose wick, my 2 best performers are the Aromamizer & Cthulhu V2 :)
When I read these I get no flavour post I all ways wonder what the OP is doing wrong!
I get wonderful flavour from all my tanks :)

This is how i built a .22 ohm build with 8 wrap 24ga kanthal with a 1.5 mm id.... flavor and clouds amazing. I would vape it between 30-40 watts and see what you think.... then you can swear off your aromamizer....remember the two airhole band not the 4.

We aren't here for instagram lol if it vapes nice then that's all that matters lol
But we/they are here to assist the OP with getting an appropriate Vape on their RTA, which could entail providing a visual of working builds to show the OP how they are set up. :thumb:

His build clearly works he said so, he just said it wasnt the prettiest... i was pointing out that it doesnt have to be award worthy for a picture to show how you have it set up.

Where?

From what I read he hasn't had a build do what he's looking for.

Nevermind just re-read what you said.

I read it originally as you downplaying the pictures and them not being useful to the topic at hand, when in fact you meant, it doesn't need to be pretty.

Lulz oooh interwebs... how you've tricked me.

All you people are wonderful. Some confirming what I originally wanted, but Gobby Bellus and Zeph, and others helping me with the Aromamizer. Tried 2mm micro, much less wick. Decent. Enough that I'm not grabbing my Sigelei / Velocity set up while snowed in at the moment. But I have hope now and will continue working on it. Waiting for the moment I can grab the Golden trinity I wanted originally from Youde. I love you people. - teary face-

I apologize for the shameless revival, but as you all know, it is Febuary. I have seen the Griffin. It seems magical. Build friendly, and is now a fourth RTA I... Crave. Oh god. So sorry LOL. Any thoughts?

Just ordered 480ml of liquid too... help.
