In a word Yes.
The older models are still great PVs and are very collectible especially early serials, pre-GGTS's, rarity's and prototypes.
as the norm for All GG's is now going to be SS they are a pv you won't get again and getting a decent example is going to be hard.
Also the more people get into vaping the more collectors you are going to get its inevitable and they will all want the early versions which will push prices up even more
I use my grant and i have been using the AFS V2 today with a 901 GG i7 at 7.4v and the performance is well.
Breath taking.
Finding a pre 2011 GGTS is going to prove very hard there are a few nickle ones about but i've seen prices on those approaching $300 within the next 6 months i think one in the classi's will be something few and far between .
Will i sell mine.....

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Collecting is as varied as the people who collect.

My best advice is to be careful what you buy and what you pay; it appears as though there's a "bubble" forming and like all bubbles; they pop. lol

+1 to that.
I've been very lucky with my GG's only two have very noticable wear on the main body not totally gone but they would'nt stand up to much more polishing.

I hope it pops soon so i can get a GGT and the elusive side button slim :)

I love my pre 2011 "to my friend" GGTS and would never sell it nor would I sell my GGTS/SS or my GGTB with brass end caps or my GGslim.I think you will find that most users of the GG`s are collectors and would not sell them on.
I just wish I could get hold of a few of the earlier ones.they are icon`s in my mind.
But it makes you wonder where they've gone.
look at me i've posted on loads of forums even a dutch and french one with no joy.
i know theres a side button slim in the UK but where? the trails gone well cold on me

I'm on my first one and already have the itch to look for some older mods. Until I get my GGTS set up the way I want though I think I'll hold off.

How do us new to the GG world find items such as brass inner sleeves and top and end caps. Are these items readily available or are these custom orders. Just thinking my nickel GGTS would look a bit snazzier with the brass offsetting the nickel.

Thanks,

Chris

I hate to say it, but I would sell my GGTS...it's just that the price point I would sell at would break most people's bank :D. Everyone has a selling price for collectibles, but that point can be too high for everyone short of Bill Gates. As it is, I just got enough money I might be able to afford batteries this week and actually USE my GGTS!!!

In reference to the OP, I am one of those who likes holding history in my hands, but knows I could not give it the proper care it deserves. So, I just go for very durable and hardy things (which means the next thing I buy other than an AVS/UFS/Tank-thingy would be stainless steel, which means I am a forward collector).

I got an extra brass sleeve thrown in from a purchase from a great member on ECF! It needs to be gussied up a little bit, but it really does add a sweet look. I still stick with the all aluminum, though. I just like the pure silver look. It's very sleek! After I polish the brass, I MIGHT change my opinion...but I doubt it.
