Throat hit is like the punch you feel in the back of your throat when u breath in a heavy vapor what someone who hasn't smoke would most likely describe as a scratching burning of the throat so yes you used it wrong but thats ok! because now u and we know thats not what you want. what you want is a mint or a menthol or a koolada.

also you seems to be looking for some more exotic juices so im going to point you to the section that is about making your own juices (you will be confused) probably very confused by all of it but making your own you will be able to make exactly what you want (through trial and error) and making 0mg nic juice is insanely cheap compared to buying it.

i give you this but i cant stress enough to take your time understanding it all it will easily overwhelm you. There are people there that make their own lavender and herb juices that will be able to help you understand that as well as loads of people that will help you understand the basic process.

its a lot easier then it seems once u get a grasp on it :D

DIY E-Liquid

btw sense ur not looking for throat hit i suggest getting 70/30 VG/PG juice to start you off. that's VG/PG not PG/VG.

VG = smoother more vapor slightly less flavor
PG = carries slightly more flavor less vapor production harsh in large quantities

Thank you SO much!!! thats good to know and I will definitely check out teh DIY liquids!! :)

If you are not a previous smoker and you really are curious about eCigs/Vaping ... stick with no Nicotine and you don't even have to inhale (swallow) the Vapor. The nicotine content and inhalation of the vapors is mainly for former cigarette smokers to kick the habit. You can enjoy eCigs and Vaping at significantly less risk. Such is what my daughter (college age) does - she just takes it when with friends and once in a while to relax. Zero Nicotine, no inhaling, and she enjoys her Peach flavored liquid, which, by the way, took her close to a month to finish 10ml of. I didn't bother discouraging her, as has been previously mentioned, there are a lot higher *known* risks in normal living.

Purchase equipment and liquids only from reputable sources, and go at it. That should keep you busy, out of trouble and satisfy your curiosity.

I have a friend who has never bought ciggies, but used to mooch them from me every time our families got together. We had a fifteen year tradition of chatting on the porch, smoking. When I started vaping, he started mooching my vamo! I gave him my old blu set for mis birthday, and now instead of ditching our spouses to go smoke, we can stay in and have everyone involved, and puff it up like a couple of old dwarves! The only downside is I have to refill his cartos with 0 mg juice before he leaves, so I guess the mooching aspect is still there:facepalm: I guess the point is that there can be such a thing as a social vaper, and maybe there is nothing wrong with that.

I know plenty of people who only smoke when they drink. Is that bad? The Surgeon General doesn't think so:

Surgeon General: Smoking Fine As Long As You Only Do It When You Drink | Video | The Onion - America's Finest News Source.

Everything in moderation is a good rule of thumb. Enjoy your new hobby and Vape On!

lmao "Warning: buying a pack of cigarettes causes lung cancer" XD

speaking of moderation i just smoked about 2ml of this amazing juice i just made in like 20 mins XD dont worry tho it was from my test batch 0nic in my test batches =P this is the first time iv actually sat and smoked the whole test batch XD

I vape some fruits and bakery flavors just for taste because I'm diabetic. I have a diabetic offline friend who has never smoked but vapes for flavor. In fact, their a culinary vaporizers on the market now that are used with straws and flavors for whole prepared dishes. They're big for parties. The flavorings of ejuices are the same ones used in foods and so is the vegetable glycerol. You don't need to inhale the vapor into your lungs to get the enjoyment of the real foods. So, if you're never smoked and are not looking to simulate that... just don't inhale. My Aunt smoked that way in fact as most cigar and pipe smokers do.

edit: oh, an there are many health/vitamin/herb shops on the net selling herbal juice preparations for vaporizers... some sell what is the same as an ecig but they don't call it that of course.

Thank you all for your advice! I really appreciate your wisdom and all your opinions!
Eucalyptus and lavender lotions and oils haven’t really help with my anxiety. I’ve tried all the tricks. I don’t have chronic anxiety but there are occasions that I need medicine. I was hoping this could be a healthier way to calm me rather than Xanax but who knows. Im not really too concerned about the Appetite suppressant effect, I was just curious. Its not the reason I am enquiring about this. I was more curious about the anxiety effect.
And maybe I used the term “throat hit” wrong?…I guess I meant that I might like the feeling of having a cool or icy feel in my mouth upon inhalation. And I didn’t know if that was connected to the Nic or just an added effect you can opt for.
Thanks for the advice. I wanted to get more info on this and you have been a great help!

One thing nobody has mentioned here that is for me the sleeping giant in the corner waking up.
Is the “Hand To Mouth” oral fixation. I ran out of juice when vaping cheap Ma and Pa store 20 dollar
Blue-cig clones and the only store in town ran out of them. I was amazed how a trip to WalMart and a 2 dollar bottle of Glycerin [VG] And lemon extract got me through a 3 day wait for vape mail [juice coming in from a supplier].

I swear the biggest addiction is the hand to mouth, NOT the nicotine, I'm down to a fraction of Nicotine now compared to when I started. Love the coffee flavor stuff. And for this matter The hand to mouth fix being a NO nic vape , I would say Go It!! Obviously you are looking for a new “Friend” [hand2mouth-fix].

and make sure you pick one that's less dangerous then others is the catch here. We can not assure you Vape is harmless.

But most hand to mouth fixes are stuffed with negative facts no matter what you choose.

Over Eating is far worse Bar none!! The cholesterol in my veins gave me 1 stroke and 3 heart attacks and counting, A damaged liver from statins meds , Tell me eating too much fat is not bad for ya, [ya right]. Down to 195 lbs now but the damage is done. None of this was from Vaping.!!!! I bet 3 packs of cigs a day x 35 years didn't help[duhhhhhh].
Not to mention trace amounts of nicotine MAY have some benefiets with SOME people as far as some nerological diseases are concerned. That doesn't make it fair to label Nicotine as a safe chemical though.

Now up on the list there's alcohol, sex addiction, Compulsive disorders, there was a girl on 20/20 that ate

5 rolls of toilet paper every day. So yes of all the Hand to Mouth fixations to take on, Vaping is pretty low on the list of dangerous ones. This of course is with NO-NIC juices. Even a little bit of NICOTINE will lure you in for more so I recommend none unless you start drinking, or smoking cigarettes then go for a nic juice. Psychologists call guys like me the ones with the “Pacifier Gene” Most smokers, over eaters and alcoholics where thumb suckers when they where toddlers.

I Love the way Vaping fills that viod. It DOES keep me away from the grill I assure you. And I no longer am toting around a bag of candy either. Fat and sugar are far worse vices.:)

I wont pretend to be an expert on this topic, but to me its seems clear enough.

Also, I have seen some options to get an ICY throat hit and that sounds pretty cool, does the ice or cold hits mean there is menthol in it and is that bad? And can I get an Icy hit if I opt for 0mg?

Chew some gum.

If Im not used to nicotine, will 6mg or a low mg, affect me?
Yes, 6mg nicotine "socially" will turn to full strengthen addiction over time. I have been an addict for over a quater of my life you dont want this.

I would actually like to find some calming/relaxing liquids to help anxiety, like lavender or Eucalyptus..but Ive only seen them in Herb form. Do you know of any place that has them as liquids and do they work?

Lastly (this is probably the dumbest question) do any of the sweet liquids suppress your appetite and help you from grabbing a piece of cake? I know nicotine has a appetite suppressing effect but like I said I would be looking for little to no nic.

If you're not already hooked to analogues dont try Vaping, even with nicotine free juices your craving for food wouldn't be reduced.
When you vape a cake flavor you just remind your sense what a cake tastes and smells like, no food actually reaches your stomach its more likely you'd raid the fridge.

Finally coming out of lurkdom to reply to this..

My mom has never smoked in her life but has taken up vaping 0 nic. It does help somewhat with boredom snacking. Some e-juice is like smelling rather than tasting, but I have for sure found plenty that there's no doubt about it..it tastes great! She cracks me up sitting there puffing on her black licorice. If you search youtube, there are some vids on there from people taking it up to help curb mindless snacking.

As a 20+ year ex smoker though, I would stay MILES away from anything with nicotine in it. You just don't wanna go there. What if something (heaven forbid!) happened to vaping and you were left with a nicotine addiction?

Behind you!
Although most of us got into vaping to ween off cigarettes, those who continue to vape do it mostly for there nicotine craving and the social aspect of vaping. I enjoyed the experience of smoking, but found vaping the "healthier" way of still enjoying the experience without the 1000+ chemicals in regular cigarettes killing me. As a hobby, it is awesome, and if you are interested in the experience of it, try it without nicotine (0mg).

Best of luck in your vaping journey!

My partner gave up smoking several months before trying to get pregnant with our little boy, who's now 14 months old. When I gave up smoking in favour of vaping around 6 months ago, she liked the smell and wondered whether it might help to curb her sweet tooth. She's now set up with several zero nic flavours, a couple of ego-type batteries and Evods and tends to go for them rather than what someone else described as "mindless snacking". I think the hand-to-mouth thing is important too. She's still hitting the gym several times a week to shift some weight... she also gets as excited as I do about vape-shopping, much to the dismay of my bank balance!! ;) As it's already been said, you're an adult and you'll find your own way.

Ok, so im kinda scared to admit this on here because of all the mixed opinions and I know there are some people who think people like me will ruin it for those who really need it (which I do understand those feelings, but it wont be me)......I got an ecig at a new vapor store right by my house. I have no idea what kind it is though so I have no idea what size carts or batteries to get for it in the future (is it cheaper to order accessories online?). I tried some strawberry flavor at 0nic and I liked it. And some of you may think I'm stupid for this, but I never inhaled it... I kept my throat closed and I still enjoyed it and although I am still surrounded by chemicals in the liquid when I exhale, I feel better not exactly sucking it directly down my throat. I'm not planning on ever doing this in public because all my friends and family would think i was crazy. It's not my personality at all to smoke anything so I'd probably freak them out. Honestly I dont even know how much I will do it. I played around with it for a few hours last night and the battery did NOT last very long and the liquid tank was small and didnt hold very much. I kept charging it until the light turned. I would use it for a few mins and it would die again. I still hope to find some liquids that will have a relaxing/calming effect, that is my ultimate goal for trying this.

im glad you decided to take a go at it but with caution. :D

you mentioned chemicals in the liquid so i figure ill explain what it is your smoking.
PG = Propylene Glycol. USP approved Food Grade... used in many foods you already eat
VG = Vegetable Glycerin. UPS approved Food Grade .... also used in many many food you eat everyday
Flavorings = PG based (mostly PG) this IMO is the only thing u have to worry about is what they are using to flavor it, i wouldn't drive yourself crazy about it just stick with the juice made in the US and not the juice made in china and you will be A-OK imo.

thats is. 3 ingredients.

if you want a good set up that wont break the bank

1 EGO Twist Battery + charger *OR* Vission Spinner Battery (they are the same thing)
1 EVOD tank "clearomizor" (Kanger Protank if u wanna spend a little more)
+ american made juice.
this set up is very plug and play and reliable and wont break the bank :D

If your a grown up and you want to do it then I would say go for it, I'm not quite sure why you would if you weren't a smoker though. If you want to use it as an appetite suppressor guess what, it won't work. Go hit the gym and eat a more healthy diet. Its called willpower and it isn't that difficult, everyone's always looking for the easy way out these days...
