Bristow, Ok.
I agree vapn, knurled notches on the brass connector would make it a lot easier to screw on.

Yes I agree too. I would also like to make it where you can't take the cap off without closing the adjustment ring. You would think I would remember after the first time.

I also thought I would remember after the first time... It took me about ten times messing everything with liquid for my brain to make the appropriate neuro-connection :D:D:D

Something else for AFS that I notice.

To another matter:
Some friends here report me a small leakage from the 8 holes of the AFS. I made a small trick to avoid this. I put around the 4 holes of the brass connector a sponge like those thin and flat sponges we use to clean out tables (vettex). I cut a small rounded piece and I made a hole in the middle. Its like a sponge nut with 2-3 mm in width. The sponge keeps the liquid that comes inside the collector tank and it doesnt let liquid to go out through the 8 holes. Also the liquid that sponge keeps will come inside the atty again by our inhales, so we dont waste it.

I'd like to try this, but I'm not sure of the type of sponge that you are refering to. Would the blue foam (aquarium filter) that people use for the Cart mod work?

Rob said it was. I've tried it, and it does prevent leaks, but it changes the airflow (harder draws, more slurpy sounds) and taste (diminished) of the AFS, IMHO.

I use vapnaway's suggestion of removing the top and bottom o rings and snugging the brass base tight by hand. I still have some seepage using this method, but no leaks.

I'll only use the blue foam brass base disc as a last measure.

Sounds like, I'd rather deal with the small leak. It only happens if I don't use it for a couple hours or more. I tried closing the control ring when I know it's going to set for a while, like overnight. But, that didn't seem to mke a difference.

Use a cartomizer, take off the label, clean it, drill a hole of 1.5 mm at about 8 mm from the threads and you will experience the best of the best ;-)

Okay, what kind of cartomizer? And will I need an adapter to secure it to the brass base?

Better yet, can one of you mad geniuses get your digital cameras out and make a nice tutorial with pictures?

Tried the regular one and the one from Vapornine. Vapornine turbo carto's have a better (tighter) draw and behave perfect also on 6V. No adapter needed. I am still using the same one for over a week now. I vaped on 3.7, 5 and 6 volts. So besides that there is absolutely no leaking, great flavor, enough cloud production to make you invincible, it is also very cheap ;-)

I'm taking your word for this, just ordered 3 from vaporkings just now based on your recommendation. Pics would be nice, and I've got almost ten us dollars riding on this! :p

Hve you tried the 15/2,5 o-ring that I suggest wet my friend? It will totally lock the CR so you will not have leakage when you leave AFS at no use

Geez, I didn't even see this thread sitting here. Just removed the extraneous O-Rings and WoW! That works pretty slick! I'm not getting mouthfuls of juice anymore either... You were right Clyde, really does make the flavor a bit thicker, and hits a bit more consistently...

Can't wait to get some mouthpieces next week to try the cartomizers.

You don't need the mouthpiece for the cartomizers my friend, no juice in your mouth, never!!
